process taking place in northern Syria is now at a turning point. First, the Syrian
Democratic Forces (SDF) seems to have definitively defeated the Islamic State (Da'esh) in
its current form, by seizing its ultimate stronghold located in Hajine, in eastern Syria.
A phase of the revolution is coming to an end ; dangers no less formidable are looming on
the horizon.
In the first place, the Turkish state and Erdogan have been threatening for weeks to
attack the whole of Rojava, after having invaded the canton of Afrîn at the beginning of
the year with the assent of Moscow. The consequences would be dramatic for the civilian
population, as seen in Afrin where, after ethnic cleansing, the bands of mercenaries of
the Free Syrian Army (ASL), under Turkish protection, engage in daily abuses against
Kurdish populations. , Yazidies, and anyone suspected of links with Rojava's
self-administration.

how big the attack will be. In addition to the threats on the Rojava, circulating rumors
of an invasion of northern Iraq where are the rear bases of the Kurdish guerrillas and
their Turkish revolutionary allies.
In any case, American imperialism gives a complete blank check to its Turkish ally. Trump,
in a rush of cynicism rarely seen in terms of a reversal of alliance, announced the
complete withdrawal of US troops from Syria less than 48 hours after taking Hajine by the
SDS. Each and every one knew, on each side, that this alliance of circumstance and
counter-nature tied against Daesh could not last in time. The projects and the long-term
interests were diametrically opposed, what the revolutionaries from here and there have

carried by the Democratic Federation of Northern Syria, and the restoration of the Syrian

Faced with this deadly threat of invasion, the Northern Syrian Democratic Federation
declared the general mobilization on 12 December. Throughout the region, we dig trenches
and tunnels ; weapons are distributed in neighborhoods and villages ; an international
appeal has been launched for massive and popular resistance. Libertarian Alternative
