Blockades, clashes, convergence ... A story of the day of action of December 8, by 
libertarian communists in the Paris region, with a photo report. ---- Saturday, December 8 
marked the fourth big day of national mobilization of yellow vests. Calls for calm coupled 
with threats of repression did nothing: the mobilization continues. Roundabouts, tolls, 
commercial areas and roads have been blocked throughout the country, and demonstrations 
are taking place in the cities. ---- In Île-de-France, several Libertarian Alternative 
groups took part in rallies and demonstrations left from Saint-Lazare, Bastille or 
directly to the Champs-Élysées. They distributed the latest leaflet AL (very well 
received), the stickers "  strike sabotage blocking  ", "  No money ? Let's pay the rich 
"and others, as well as the journal titling on the move.

The procession left Saint-Lazare, with a very clear syndicalist coloration, left and far 
left, was blocked for one hour in a perimeter around department stores - a sort of trap 
very very large. Then the police armada abruptly left to go to another point of the 
capital. Proof that when the protest breaks out in multiple places, the police lock is 
impossible.

Amazing scenes in the beautiful neighborhoods
In the street, we found the typical diversity of popular movements: people from right and 
left, from all over the country, Normandy, Marseille, Brittany, North, but also suburbs of 
Paris. And in this very diverse crowd, organized groups trying to get their message 
across: far-right thugs, some conspiracy, but also anti-fascist groups, extreme leftists, 
trade unionists SUD or CGT, people carrying the "  yellow anti-racist  " or " anti- sexist 
  " or "  for the climate  " sticker . Everything will be done to reduce the reactionary 
tendencies in the movement.

Despite attempts by the authorities to separate "  thugs  " and protesters, the crowd 
remained consistent and supportive when in contact with the police. The police device was 
out of the ordinary, and helped the yellow vests considerably to block half of the 
capital. It was indeed an astonishing scene that those beautiful districts of the west of 
Paris, totally deserted by their population, the streets emptied of their cars and their 
Velib, shops curtain down, windows barricaded, metro closed ...

As soon as we moved away from the points of confrontation with the police, around the 
Place de l'Etoile, we were struck by the calm, almost the tranquility that bathed these 
immense avenues, only disturbed from time to time by the passage of a surveillance 
helicopter. Here and there, on the pavement cleared of cars, groups of yellow vests were 
strolling about, a sandwich in one hand, a sign in the other.

Unprecedented economic block
But this is not just a beautiful symbol. Two weeks before Christmas Eve, the events of the 
Yellow Waistcoats have succeeded - by forcing the prefecture to this plan of radical 
prevention - to cause a totally new economic blockade of this high place of bourgeois 
overconsumption that are the Champs-Elysées and the Department stores. This should push 
the capitalists to put pressure on their charge d'affaires at the Elysee so that he gives 
ground in the hope of a solution to this crisis.

In order for Macron to give in on the social field, on the improvement of the standard of 
living, on the return of local public services - and not by sprinkling demagogic measures 
as until now, it is crucial that this movement of economic blockages and street 
demonstrations are now being followed by strike starts, and the social and trade union 
struggle movement has become a full-fledged player in this vast protest.

This is how we can strengthen the balance of power vis-à-vis the state and the employers, 
and tear off social conquests or even initiate a truly revolutionary process.

The orphanage Prevost of Cempuis entrusted to Paul Robin between 1880 and 1894, it is 
quite a libertarian program which suddenly comes alive in a place which will open 
perspectives hitherto unknown by the school of the Republic. This is a singular novelty 
because Cempuis is under the supervision of the Ministry of Public Instruction and largely 
recomposes the rules in force elsewhere. ---- They are 4 to 16 years old and are orphaned 
by at least one parent. After an assessment of three to six months, 447 young people will 
permanently integrate the orphanage. A team chosen by Robin according to demanding 
specifications is responsible for reconstituting for these "   students   " a community 
family where, as in any family, young people and adults (educators also live there with 
their families) interact in an intimacy that restores the life of a natural family.

The walls that separate young boys from girls are cut down. Three hours a day are devoted 
to elective activities that allow you to discover where the taste and skills of each 
person are. The educational approach is based on action, empirical discovery and there is 
no methodological a priori that hinders creativity. On the contrary it is reinforced by 
activities carried out in environments and with educational tools unpublished for the 
time: a botanical garden, a printing press that allows for the joint production of books, 
various laboratories to put into practice the scientific principles, a well-stocked 
library to study course topics and beyond, etc.

Classes are done in the open air as much as possible, not just according to program 
instructions, but also on topics of concern to children, and physical activity is central: 
Robin's entire program of integral education puts into practice, and indeed, he wants to 
form a complete human being, intellectual, manual, physically and psychically balanced in 
all its dimensions.

It's a school of work too, where we meet everyday workers. Because the educational outings 
are numerous and allow to know the trades that make up the society represented outside the 
school. The craft workshops, the bakery and the shoemaker's shop are visited, as is the 
nature surrounding the orphanage. It brings back subjects of course, activities to 
realize, dreams of professional future emancipated and proud of his work. And as society 
evolves, and quickly, we also learn stenography, we look at geology, and many other 
applied sciences.

And from 1890, it is the school that opens to society through visits from people 
interested in experimentation. It is then Robin who animates conferences in the cities of 
Oise then more widely in France. And it is then a fame that begins to spread and brings 
with it the shadow of reactionary forces. What will be the fate of this island of freedom 
in a III e triumphant Republic, installed and hands-righteous Republicans  ? Why the 
experience will not be continued beyond 1894 is what we will see next month. Until then, 
that 2019 be, for us, revolutionary  !

In the context of a conjuncture characterized by the end of a period of state and capital

devastating for their social base, collective reflection of past experience is a necessary

around orthodoxy. The last four decades have begun with the revolutionary effervescence in 
Western metropolises and the Third World and end with capitalism "sure" on its throne and
