For ten years, the Direct Action group has been evolving between clandestinity and legal
activity, between prison and guerrilla warfare. Jean-Marc Rouillan delivers a precious
testimony. ---- The assassination of the young Maoist Pierre Overney, in February 1972, by
a Renault vigil, marks a turning point for the French revolutionary left. The spirit of 68
fades. Activists then ask the question of the transition to armed struggle. Some groups
have already taken the plunge, lulled by antifranquism, anti-imperialist struggles,
anti-imperialism and a new political experience: workers' autonomy. It is in this context
that Direct Action (AD) is born, whose name is a reference to the revolutionary
syndicalism of the CGT before 1914. This is the story told by Jean-Marc Rouillan in Ten
Years of Action. direct. A testimony 1977-1987. From the strafing of the CNPF (ancestor of
the Medef) on the 1st May 1979 until the arrests of Vitry-aux-Loges in February 1987, the
author runs a breathtaking decade, during which AD, between prison and clandestinity,
multiplies expropriations and robberies of banks, attacks against the military authorities
of the NATO or the representations in France of the IMF and the World Bank. Connections
with the German RAF, the Belgian CGBs, the Italian Red Brigades and other Turkish and
Palestinian organizations, inscribe AD's action in an international setting, which tries
to move the lines and shake the heart of imperialism.
An armed struggle cut off from the masses
Nevertheless, the story of AD is not limited to guerrilla warfare and the grueling life of
illegal immigrants. Its activists, before their big jump in the armed struggle, were
active and active in the autonomous and libertarian movement, as well as in trade union
action. In 1981, with the election of Mitterrand, Rouillan and his comrades are amnestied
and recover freedom. Then opens a new period with the establishment of " red bases ".
In the district of Goutte-d'Or, a former brothel, doomed to destruction, is squatted. It
hosts Turkish families, Arab or Egyptian workers dismissed and thrown to the street by
their boss. On the model of the Italian-style social centers, the Workers 'and Peasants'
Commune of the 18th centuryoffers literacy classes, carries out requisitions in
supermarkets and then distributes food to the people of Barbès. It sets up a self-managed
clothing workshop, offers offices for Turkish organizations fighting against the
dictatorship of Ankara. A meaningful experience, which will end under the blows of the
police state.
Closed this " legal " parenthesis , AD goes back to hiding. Choice that will prove a
stalemate with, a few years later, the final dismantling of the group and the prison.
Rouillan recognizes the long-term failure of the armed struggle, when it is finally
revealed avant-garde and cut off from the masses. However, he concedes an achievement in
this epic: " the tenors of institutional politics criticized not only AD for armed
action, but because guerrilla warfare materialized revolutionary class counter-violence
that endangered their positions. AD prevented them from voting in peace, to protest kindly
with the family. "
With the sometimes harsh reading, the very militant writing, imprinted Marxist-Leninist
prose, the testimony of Rouillan, is nonetheless indispensable to those who dream,
yesterday as today and tomorrow, of a world free from barbarism and social injustice.

On Thursday, December 20, a meeting of porters and porters took place, guarding the city
buildings managed by ZKZL. The Employee Initiative organizes legal assistance. They were
all left before Christmas without money. The employer owes them the remuneration for
October and November. At the same time, after the meeting, a press conference was
organized, at which employees and employees presented, among others, terms of their work.
---- How did this happen? The tender for the supervision of buildings was won by Vision
Group Sp. z o. o. but employees (some of them have been working on these facilities for
many years) hired a temporary work agency CAPREA Sp. z o. o. They were hired by Vision
Group as so-called employer to the user.
The Employee Initiative revealed that companies winning a tender for the supervision of
city buildings do not pay even the minimum wage, they force you to work after 250-300
hours. per month and employ on junk (civil-law) contracts. Although from August 28 Vision
Group pledged to hire concierges and porters on a contract of employment, in fact they
were offered 1/16 posts. The rest was paid for the contract.
In connection with the disclosed machinations, the Board of Municipal Residential
Resources (ZKZL) broke the contract with Vision Group. "In retaliation" until today,
employees have not been paid salaries due.
The entire outsourcing system has once again led to the situation that employees have been
deceived, but no one feels responsible. The tangled chain of contractors, subcontractors,
agents changing their names, headquarters and legal status, in practice guarantees the
impunity of exploitation. Workers are shifted between successive companies, and their
employment is unstable and conditioned by the tendering of several tenders several times a
year. It is extremely difficult to recover lost wages. The city, in turn, although it was
the beneficiary of the entire system, was passively watching how contractors lower the
labor costs in tenders. He now feels free from liability. A lot of universities and law
enforcement institutions like courts act in a similar way.
Due to the break of the contract with Vision Group, for one month (December) the order was
taken over by the company Certainty. However, in parallel, ZKZL announced a new tender. He
was also won by another property protection agency, which was to announce the current
employees that he would employ only those of them with a certified disability group. This
would mean that not only will they lose their pay for October and November, but 90% of
them would lose their employment from the new year.
An empty Christmas package handed over to the City Council of Poznan is a symbol of the
situation in which more than 30 employees guarding six objects managed by the ZKZL were
found. After the press conference, "union couriers" delivered the package to the city
council, which just discussed the next year's budget. The Workers' Initiative hopes that
the city will be cut off from exploitation once and for all, which takes place on its
behalf and on its premises. The only solution is to immediately employ porters and porters
directly through the ZKZL. IP also demands that the city actively support the fraudulent
employees in their efforts to regain the due remuneration. Our previous requests from the
union are in force concerning the audit of outsourcing in the city in terms of compliance
with employee rights.

8 June 'Anti-Karne March' and taken into custody during the recent days, while
distributing leaflets for the case to be seen today in the same way again detained high
schools in the Kartal Anatolian Courthouse today read the press release. ---- The case was
postponed to 29 January due to a high school's failure to attend and give a statement.
---- Press Release of High Schools ---- We, as high school youth organizations, wanted to
organize an anti-rivalry march on June 8, 2018 in front of Kadikoy Sureyya opera. ---- The
police responded with a raging attack and 22 of our friends were detained by torture. We
were on the street to exclaim that the real life was trying to fit into the classes and
exams by the education system that they imprisoned between the four walls. We were on the
street to shout that this system of education was the system of surrender, submission,
slavery, slavery. We were on the street to shout out to us that we rejected their
education policies. we were tortured again.
With these attacks, they showed us how afraid they were. All this is the result of their
fears. We understand their fears. They're scared. They're afraid of losing their heaven.
Every day we get hurt, they attack more every day. But they can't stop, they can't stop.
No more sleep on them anymore. We will continue the resistance as high school
revolutionaries until the sovereignty of these harams, which established their sovereignty
on oppression and oppression. This case opened to us today is not only for those detained
in the report. Today, in the school, on the street, the future of stolen exploited,
millions of high school graduates to stand for the future of the trial. This case is proof
that it will be attacked by even the smallest voice against all the problems created by
this order. We are all those who oppose all kinds of oppression, violence and selfishness.
We, those who do not recognize the sovereignty of fear, who are bravely fought for the
destruction of this sovereignty, those who act in the knowledge that the struggle for
organization is a struggle for liberation, and those who fight for our dreams, are now
inviting you to bear the anger of our poverty and massacred years, the destroying future.
In spite of this pressure wave that has come upon us and in the presence of this wave, we
have no choice but to walk. If they want to turn down our voice, the most important thing
to do is raise our voice; If they want to kneel us, standing up is the only thing we can
do. To date, no pressure law has been able to reverse the course of history; No pressure
we could not get the revolutionaries delivered and! The parasites that are imposed on us
as geçmek fate mek, to reject foreign life and to increase the struggle against oppression
are passed through our organization. Only our own will and our organized power rescues us.
We must defend our own destiny, our future, and raise the struggle for a human and
honorable life.

COP 24 (24th UN Climate Conference) gives us the opportunity to ask ourselves about the
birth of ideas related to ecology. He called himself a "legume" (the ancestor of the
vegan) and opposed to "progress" the "returns" with their environmental consequences.
Discover the ecological thinking of Élisée Reclus, an anarchist geographer. ---- " Man
must live in harmony with nature, " if no one calls into question this observation today,
it was formulated since 1858 by Élisée Reclus, geographer, anarchist militant, author
libertarian. ---- He was born in Gironde in 1830 in a large Protestant family. Seduced by
socialist ideas, he quickly abandons his studies in Theology. He graduated in Modern
Geography in Berlin with the course of Carl Ritter, founder of this discipline.
The American Territory
After the coup d'etat of Napoleon III, he leaves Europe for the American continent and
discovers Louisiana slavery. He then makes long observations about human activity
throughout the Mississippi and is very critical of the management of wilderness areas. It
predicts catastrophes if drainage of the wetlands continues:
" Fields, cities, populations would be swept up vomited in the Mexican Sea ."
Back in France, he publishes several works of human geography thanks to his travel notes.
His approach to geography is revolutionary. He considers that man and his environment
influence each other and can not be studied without the other:
"A secret harmony is established between the Earth and the people it feeds, and when
reckless societies allow themselves to lay hands on what makes the beauty of their
dominion, they always end up repenting."
For him, man must find his place in nature without disturbing it:
" Our freedom, in our relationship with the Earth, is to recognize its laws and to shape
our existence ."
The Industrial Revolution
Witnessing the industrial revolution, he has faith in progress but with care. For him,
progress is accompanied by "return", especially the environmental consequences. He does
not oppose the great administrations of the territory on the condition that they respond
to moral and social criteria:
"It is up to men to complete the work of nature by imitating it in their labors, whatever
means it employs."
He is also very sensitive to the aesthetic dimension of nature and fears the
standardization of the landscape:
"Where the soil became ugly, where all poetry disappeared from the landscape, the
imaginations are turned off, the spirits are impoverished."
His durable development concerns are inseparable from his libertarian and anarchist ideas
which, with his participation in the insurrection of the Commune, made him banished from
the university world.
Élisée Reclus was also a convinced vegetarian, he defined himself as a "legume".

[Turkey] In Istanbul, anarchist bloc participates in protest against high cost of living
By ANA Thousands of people took the streets of Istanbul on Saturday to protest against the
rising cost of living in Turkey. A large anarchist bloc participated in the act. ----
Under a strong police device, the crowded demonstration attracted people from all over
Turkey, including the northwestern provinces of Edirne, Bursa and Yaloba.
We heard slogans like "work, bread, freedom" and we could also see posters with phrases
like "the crisis is yours, the street is ours" or "Haziran", which means June in Turkish.
June refers to the mass demonstrations of 2013 against President Erdogan's government
triggered by a protest movement against a redevelopment project of the Gezi Park in Istanbul.

Emiliano Zapata is one of the best-known actors of the Mexican Revolution of 1910. At the
head of an army of Indian peasants from the state of Morelos, he fought the dictatorship
of Porfirio Diaz, the troops of Francisco Madero, the president who replaced Diaz but did
not keep his promises. He then fought against General Huerta, author of a coup against
Maderos. At the " summit " of the revolution, in 1914, Zapata and Pancho Villa occupy the
city of Mexico together. It is also Zapata who, in the " Ayala Plan " calls to seize land
and expropriate all the owners who oppose the revolution. But refusing state power, he
abandons it to politicians and generals. He is murdered by the federal army.
There has since been a Zapata " recovered " by the power that claims to be heir to the
revolution. Streets, squares, villages bear his name. There is also a Hollywood Zapata,
the most famous film being Viva Zapata of Elia Kazan where Marlon Brando personifies it.
But there is another Zapata, symbol of the uncompromising revolutionary, defender of
peasants, Indians, poor, taken over by many Mexican revolutionaries and especially by the
EZLN, the neozapatists of Chiapas. It is this Zapata that is at the heart of the book.
As part of his project to introduce young readers to honest historical characters, Yann
Fastier offers a graphic evocation answering every page to the question " They killed
Zapata, but Zapata is dead ? Through a series of linocuts inspired by the Mexican engraver
José Guadalupe Posada. A historical record at the end of the album documents his story. A

How the FSB is Manufacturing a Terrorism Case Against Antifascists in Russia. ---- In the
run-up to presidential elections and the FIFA World Cup, repressions against antifascists
and anarchists started in Russia. ---- In Autumn 2017, 6 people were arrested in Penza;
several of them had weapons and explosives planted on them. FSB officers then tortured the
antifascists right in the detention facility: they applied naked wires to the activists'
various body parts and turned the electricity on, they beat them up, hanged them upside
down. While torturing them, the agents made the activists learn by heart the story the FSB
needed: they were supposed to confess of having founded and belonging to a terrorist
organization called "The Network". ---- In late January 2018, two more antifascists were
arrested in Saint-Petersburg. They, too, were beaten up, tortured with electric current,
and forced to incriminate themselves by confirming they were members of the "Network".
Come to Book-Cafè the Barricade (at ACU, Voorstraat 71) to discuss and know more about

On December 23, 2018, in the afternoon, a group of Prague activists and activists
conducted a direct action to support Rojava at the headquarters of the Turkish Embassy in
the Czech Republic. ---- In protest against the invasion of other areas of the Democratic
Federation of Northern Syria, endorsed by the Turkish dictator Erdogan, activists and
activists of the newly formed Revolutionary Defense Committee in Rojava, several YPG and
YPJ Kurdish units fired before the building belonging to the Turkish Embassy in the Czech
Republic. fight the so-called Islamic State and the soldiers of fascist Turkey. ---- One
of the buildings belonging to the embassy of the authoritarian regime has soaked for a few
minutes the green-red-yellow smoke. ---- The activists and activists of the Revolutionary
Defense Committee in Rojava on the Rojava.info website (which we recommend going through
and watching in the future) have published the following statement:
Through the fence near this building, we fired several fumigants in the colors of the
Kurdish units YPG and YPJ, which Erdogan portrays as terrorist. The real terrorist is, of
course, the Turkish state.
Whether it is an unprovoked attack on the Afrina region, which, as a result of the Turkish
invasion, had to flee more than 160,000 people, or a constant violation of human rights in
Turkey. Czech political representation, which recently used the Kurdish unit as an example
of "people who do not fight but fight" at the time of the so-called "refugee crisis", is
silent today, despite the fact that they are sitting in a Turkish prison for the support
of these units two Czech citizens - Markéta Všelichová and Mirko Farkas.
Erdogan does not deserve red carpets, but a war crimes trial. Turkey is neither a trading
partner nor a "democratic country". We refuse to turn our backs on our Kurdish allies who
fought for us and died in battles against the so-called Islamic state.
We are aware that a few smoked smokers will not change the policy of fascist Turkey, but
we hope that this symbolic act of disagreement will attract at least some attention to the
acts of the Turkish regime, and that we will inspire others who are not indifferent to the
fate of Rojava to take actions to defend it - in the current situation wiser than doing
nothing.
No action was taken by the police late in the event.

The Pramen group surveyed a dozen active Minsk anarchists and figured out how they
represent the society of the future, what they propose to do to achieve it, and who needs
it at all. ---- What are the goals of anarchists? ---- Some anarchists and anarchists
emphasize social transformations, saying that the goal of the movement is the abolition of
the institutions of power and the replacement of them with self-governing structures.
Others complement this idea, emphasizing the need to spread a new way of life and new
values that correspond to the anarchist ideal of a free and responsible person who is
actively involved in managing their own lives. The ideas of the new society and the "new
man" for anarchists are closely related. To implement them, it is necessary to create
horizontal relationships at all levels: from interpersonal interaction to decision-making
methods affecting millions of people.
In the economic sphere, the implementation of the principle of horizontality means the
creation of networks of production and consumer cooperatives. These structures will allow
both small and large producers to negotiate directly with consumers about the supply of
the right types and the right amount of products. According to anarchists, such an
economic model will solve the problem of economic inequality and change attitudes towards
the environment, since it will be aimed not at maximizing the profits of individual
players, but at the sustainable development of the whole society. Some anarchists argue
that such an economy does not exclude competition, but the latter will shift to the area
of product quality and will not affect the economic well-being of the "losers" competition.
READ ALSO: Peter Kropotkin "What is anarchy?"
In the sphere of decision making, anarchists are in favor of organizing a stepped system
of self-government, where all the basic powers will be in the hands of autonomous local
assemblies of the inhabitants. If necessary, local assemblies will be able to send
delegates for coordination at the district, city or whole region level. At the same time,
some anarchists believe that at the grassroots level, in emergency cases, it is possible
to create organs with limited powers, but they will have so little capacity and are so
strongly controlled by local assemblies that they will not threaten the horizontal social
structure.
In order for such a system to work, anarchists say, it is necessary to spread a new
culture based on equality, mutual respect and pluralism. All divisions on racial, ethnic,
gender and other grounds will not create hierarchies.
What methods involves anarchism to achieve their goals?
All anarchists agree that the ways of approaching the anarchist ideal can be very
different and depend on the specific socio-political situation. Anarchism involves a wide
range of practices: from educational activities, symbolic street actions or publishing to
armed resistance to power.
Some anarchists believe that an important area of activity is the organization of
alternative horizontal institutions that meet the needs of the participants: housing
projects, production and consumer cooperatives, educational initiatives, etc. It is
assumed that the numerical growth of an "alternative society" which will create a
revolutionary situation.
Part of the anarchists among the ways of implementing social transformations is called the
active inclusion in the existing social movements: working, female, environmental,
anti-racist and others.
All these methods and practices are united by the principle of direct action, which means
that the oppressed act independently for the realization of their rights, without
resorting to the help of any representatives of the authorities and not creating a
hierarchy in their movement. In other words, direct action is the consistency of ends and
means.
What are some examples of the embodiment of anarchist ideas in practice?
There is not a single example of the realization of an anarchist ideal, which would be
absolute, and at the same time massive and long-term. There are many reasons for this.
Some major attempts to create anarchist structures are forcibly suppressed by the state.
So it was with agricultural communes and self-managed industrial production in Catalonia
during the civil war in 1936-1939 and with the Makhnov experiment of 1918-1921 .
Some projects to create an alternative society degenerate, integrating with the time in
the surrounding system. For example, the Israeli kibbutzim, the commune of Auroville in
India and the Mondragon cooperative in Spain.
Nevertheless, today there are a number of examples of the implementation of anarchist or
close to anarchism experiments. These are entire regions like the Mexican state of Chiapas
and the autonomous cantons of Syrian Kurdistan , many production and consumer cooperatives
around the world, occupied by workers in 2001 in Argentina factories (for example, Zanon
factory).
In the political sphere, an example of a close to anarchist method of organization is the
coordination of the world alter globalization movement, the Occupy Wall Street movement,
the Night Standing movement or the Yellow Vests .
In the interests of which social groups are the changes proposed by anarchists?
Primarily in the interests of those social groups that experience at least one of the
types of structural oppression or do not have the opportunity to participate equally in
making decisions that directly affect their living conditions. And such, by the way, the
overwhelming majority of the population.
In the interests of employees who, finally, will be able to dispose of their work, time
and skills. Women who will be just men, not the "second sex." Men of the lower and middle
classes who will not die in wars for the interests of the elites. People with special
physical needs, for whom resources and opportunities will be found to create an inclusive
environment. People suffering from environmental pollution and the destruction of nature.
As a rule, anarchists mean that all these seemingly "narrow" and "separate" interests are
internally interrelated and can be included in the general project of social transformations.
The only group whose any interests are infinitely far from the anarchists is the small
economic and political elite, which has concentrated in its hands the privileges and
levers of social control.
Large-scale anarchist transformation of society is a long and complex process. But what
concrete changes do the anarchists propose to make now?
When it came to concrete and actual social transformations, it was already hard for many
anarchists to formulate a concrete answer.
Nevertheless, some respondents formulated clear and reasonable steps:
To achieve freedom of speech, freedom of assembly and freedom of organization. This also
includes the abolition of all laws related to "extremist activity." This will help to
return some part of society to political life.
Empower local governments with more authority. This will make power more transparent and
controlled by society. Where possible, these areas need to be transformed into local
assemblies.
At least partially deprive the state of a monopoly on violence. That is to legalize at
least a traumatic weapon, to soften or abolish articles about violence against security
officials. This will make it possible to get closer to solving the problem of police
violence, reduce the level of repression and, in the long term, return to the society the
opportunity to take care of their own security independently.
What is the anarchist movement of Belarus?
Many anarchists say that there is no anarchist movement in Belarus, if by movement we mean
some kind of mass force capable of influencing the socio-political situation. Instead,
there are a number of activist groups, communities and individuals who share anarchist
beliefs and lead the work of creating a full-fledged movement. Among them: the free
distribution of food " Food instead of bombs ", the media team " Pramen ", the initiative
to help prisoners " Anarchist Black Cross ", the libertarian library " Freestyle " and
Minsk " Free Fair ".
The main difference between anarchists and other political forces in Belarus is the lack
of desire to get into power. Some anarchists see dishonesty and lack of transparency in
the fact that politicians use the dissatisfaction of some social groups or some social
conflicts in order to "gain political points", which ultimately will help them to take a
place in the "big cabinets" and enjoy such a standard of living that will be unavailable
to most of those with whom they today, it seems, as well. Anarchists, on the contrary,
directly and openly declare their interests, not differing from the interests of the
majority of the population.
How to join the anarchists of Belarus?
In general, you need to get acquainted with someone from the anarchists and get involved
in the work of one of the initiatives. For example, attending open events like "Food
instead of bombs" or "Free Fair". Many anarchists say that it is quite difficult, because
of the repression, it is necessary to comply with a number of security measures.
