Dear friends, BREAKING: President Trump just approved seismic blasting off the Atlantic coast that could harm tens of thousands whales, dolphins, and other marine mammals. This is all a part of the Trump Administration's plan to open up all U.S. waters to even more hazardous offshore drilling for oil and gas. Please sign the urgent petition to urge the Department of Interior to reverse this dangerous decision before it's too late. Unfortunately, this plan has been in motion since Trump took office, after he appointed Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke. Specifically, Zinke stated that under a new 5-year plan, over 90 percent of the US coasts would be open to oil drilling by 2019. Now, they've taken one step closer to their diabolical end-goal. We cannot let this environmental catastrophe happen. Seismic blasting severely harms marine life, coastal economies, and our public health. These blasts can injure, deafen, and even kill thousands of marine mammals like whales, dolphins, and other threatened sea life. If we don't act now, seismic air guns could start hammering the Atlantic ocean floor as soon as next year. Add your voice to stand against any and all seismic testing off the Atlantic Coast.
