Declining child marriage, more kids in school, more countries protecting education during war. These and other successes from 2018 show that progress for kids' rights is possible.
Millions of children continue to experience exploitation and abuse on a daily basis. But positive statistics mean that countries can make improvements that benefit the lives of children.
As we celebrate these improvements, let’s also renew our commitment to advance the rights of children in 2019.

An independent commission should investigate serious allegations of abuses in the Bangladesh elections, including attacks on opposition party members, voter intimidation, vote rigging, and partisan behavior by election officials in the pre-election period and on election day.
