SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 2, 2019 -- 14h at the Cours Julien Marseille 6 ° -- Since the tragedy
of November 5, 2018, Marseille alive and popular has mobilized and showed exemplary
solidarity. Since then, more than 2,000 people have been dislodged, thus paying for the
inaction of the public authorities in the fight against unworthy housing. No serious and
lasting solution has been found by the public authorities, while the citizens are
proposing a relocation charter which aims to demand respect for their intangible rights to
housing that is fit for everyone. For decades, we have known this situation of social and
political catastrophe: dilapidated schools, unworthy housing, lack of public services,
lack of green and public spaces, abandonment of public reading and libraries. It is the
most precarious who pay the high price but also the whole city, while means and solutions
exist. 33,000 homes are officially vacant and thousands of them could be requisitioned.
For years, collectives of inhabitants have been mobilized, as well as numerous
associations, unions and citizens. It is necessary that a new November 5th can never be
repeated and that Marseilles is finally made by and for its inhabitants.
Because we reject this situation, we call all Marseilleians and our friends together from
here and elsewhere to a
great march in support of current and future dislocations
for safe housing. , healthy and dignified for all and the right to the city
To obtain Truth and justice for the victims of Noailles

As our public campaign against Fox & Sons continues, and as they continue to refuse to
compensate the six tenants they left homeless due to persistent failures of communication
and procedure, we have been contacted by another tenant describing their experience of
attempting to rent through the agency. ---- The tenant (who has asked to remain anonymous)
became aware of our dispute with Fox & Sons, and shared their story in order to show that
the issues faced by the six tenants organising with Brighton Solidarity Federation are not
isolated but instead suggest a consistent pattern of neglect and failure on the part of
the agency. ---- In July 2018, they paid a £690 holding fee to Fox & Sons. A move-in date
in October was agreed, and the tenant along with their co-tenants completed referencing
checks, prepared for their move by registering for payment of council tax and various
amenities, and signed a six-month tenancy agreement. Six days before the tenancy was
supposed to start, the tenant was contacted by a Fox & Sons employee who said that the
house would probably not be available by the agreed move-in date, because the current
occupier's new tenancy had fallen through.
Concerned, the new tenants responded to this news by email, saying: "I hope you can take
into consideration that 4 people now have nowhere to live, starting jobs in a city 100
miles away from where we currently live and know. We're really concerned and would like to
talk to you about a solution."
Fox & Sons responded and said they remained unsure about whether or not the house would be
available by the move-in date. They also offered to show the new tenants around a
different property. The tenants agreed to this and asked the employee to bring a copy of
the contract signed earlier in the year.
One day before the tenancy was supposed to start, the tenants were shown around a new
property, which was visibly unsuitable for housing four people. The employee who showed
them around this property hadn't brought a copy of the contract as requested. Following
this debacle, the tenants insisted they go to the Fox & Sons office, where they met with
the nonchalant and unhelpful attitude that appears to characterise the agency's
relationship with tenants and prospective tenants. After dealing with a barrage of
contradictory and unsympathetic information, the tenants managed to arrange a new move-in
date, six days later than the original one. Later that day, Fox & Sons contacted them to
say the landlord had offered a small reduction of the first month's rent as a good-will
gesture.
On the new date for the previous tenant to leave the property, the new tenants contacted
Fox & Sons again to confirm that this had happened. Once again, Fox & Sons moved the
goalposts and suggested the previous tenant was now staying in the property until the same
day when the new tenants were supposed to move in.
Summing up this desperate failure on the part of the agency, the tenant said: "We believe
we have been lied to throughout this whole process and that Fox & Sons have completely
disregarded the effects on us in the hope they can simply continue to secure income and
profit for themselves and landlords."
Certainly, this is the impression given by our dealings with them over the last few
months. The experience described to us here shows that disregard for the precarious
position of tenants, and persistent miscommunication with tenants, is part of how Fox &
Sons operates.
Our public campaign against them continues, and our demand remains that Fox & Sons
compensate each tenant £380 for leaving them with nowhere to stay, a sum that should help
the tenants to cover the difference in rent they were forced to pay when finding a
property at short notice after the cancellation of their planned tenancy.
An injury to one is an injury to all!

New protests took place this week pushing the government on its promises to halt a boom in
environmentally-damaging projects across the region. ---- The region's extensive network
of waterways have been eyed for years as having hydroelectric potential, which originally
led to plans for nearly 3,000 plants, around a third in environmentally-protected areas.
---- Critics have warned that the wholesale exploitation of rivers would damage both
natural habitats and drinking water supplies, as well as impacting on other local
industries. ---- In November campaigners thought won a major victory when the government
started drafting a new law blocking new plants in protected areas, slated for its first
hearing in parliament this month. ---- NGOs are arguing that such bans should cover up to
three-quarters of all rivers in the region.
But concerns remain about the level of corporate pressure for new dams to happen and the
extent to which any protections will be realistically applied, especially as projects
continue to be pushed elsewhere in the Balkans.
In Serbia itself, a recent visit by Russian President Vladimir Putin has inked a deal on
hydroelectric expansion while on January 24th neighbouring Bosnia's autonomous Serb
Republic announced another two plants to be built by State-controlled body ERS.
And just last week there were protests in Strpce, south Kosovo as excavation started for a
mini-hydropower plant. Energy firm Matkos Group has five planned projects in the area
including the Obe Reke plant and has refused to publicly produce its permissions. Local
police were nevertheless sent out to clear the protesters.

Protest against the merger of the Bunker of Art and MOCAK (Krakow, 30/01/2018)
The protest concerning the resignation from the competition procedure for the post of the
director of the Contemporary Art Gallery in Krakow, the appointment of the director of the
MOCAK Museum of Contemporary Art in Krakow and the future merger of these institutions is
still underway. On Wednesday, January 30, the Workshop of the Employee Initiative in
Bunkier, together with the "Society of People Cheering Bunkier Sztuki Gallery", organized
a picket and protest during a city council session. ---- The OZZ Factory Committee of the
Employee Initiative at the Bunkier Sztuki Gallery unambiguously assesses the city's plans
and opposes them. In the opinion of trade unionists and trade unionists with IP, they will
contribute to further deterioration of working conditions in the institution. The
organizational structure of the two institutions is different, and their mutual adjustment
will be a convenient opportunity to liquidate numerous positions and reduce employment.
Declared restructuring and planned savings will take place mainly at the expense of people
- employees of the city gallery and their work places.
On January 30, the Works Commission together with the members of the Association of People
Supporting the Bunkier Sztuki Gallery established a few days earlier protested in front of
the Krakow City Hall at Plac Wszystkich Swietych. Dozens of people - members of the Krakow
organization OZZ Inicjatywa Pracownicza, artists, activists and residents of Krakow -
expressed loud opposition to the plans of the Mayor of the City of Krakow and the
restructuring of the city unit at the expense of its employees. After the demonstration in
front of the City Hall, the protesters moved to the plenary hall, where during council
session of the city councilor Nina Gabrys submitted an interpellation to the Mayor of the
City of Krakow regarding the situation of Galeria Bunkier Sztuki.
The protest against the plans of the city and the demonstration itself are widely reported
by the Krakow and national media, including: Gazeta Wyborcza, Dziennik Polski, Oko.Press,
Krytyka Polityczna, TVP Kraków.

On 27 and 28 January 2019, action days were held to support the Revolution in Rojava. See
what their scope is. ---- As we mentioned earlier, the Anarchist Federation has joined the
call # RiseUp4Rojava - taken together Revolution , published by the Internationalist
commune . On January 27 and 28, 2019, she declared World Action Days "to send a clear
signal of our solidarity with the revolution in northeastern Syria" and our "resistance to
Turkish fascism." ---- In the Czech Republic, for example, activists and activists from
various associations in the Revolutionary Defense Committee in Rojava focused on offers of
travel agencies. Turkey is one of the most frequently visited destinations, which can, for
example, fund its rich tourism revenue to fund the persecution of opposition forces, the
oppression of Kurdish people and the displacement of Kurdish areas in northern Syria. So:
Holiday? Certainly not in Turkey . Another of the local activities was the information
events in Ostrava and Frýdek-Místek, which was reported by the OAF in its report .
The action days have been joined by individuals, organizations and collectives in dozens
of cities in more than 20 countries around the world - the progressive forces at the heart
of the fate of the Rwawa experiment - non-state, under-organized autonomy. You can see the
photo section of the action, for example, HERE .
They also protested against arms companies and other companies benefiting from cooperation
with the Turkish authoritarian regime. In Sweden, activists demonstrated several SAAB
branches and London protests against BAE. In Austria and Germany, activists organized a
demonstration against the Rheinmetall armaments company. One way of protest was to damage
the ATMs of financial corporations that somehow commercialize the Erdogan regime ( HERE ).
On Sunday, a group of American activists and Kurdish exiles met in New York on Union
Square. She also spoke here, amongst others, a representative of persecuted pro-Kurdish
parties of GDP in Turkey. The event was also attended by local anarchists (Metropolitan
Anarchist Coordinating Council) and anti-fascists (more HERE ). The demonstrations took
place in Portland , Boston , San Francisco, and before the Turkish Consulate in Los
Angeles . Other manifestations of solidarity in the United States came from cities such as
Santa Cruz , Seattle , Durham , ElmCity , Fort Wayne , Knoxville ,Salt Lake City , New
Haven ... ( HERE AND HERE ).
The group photo was prepared by anti-fascists from Canadian Gaspe ( HERE ).
Dozens of Kurds and activists met in central Madrid on Sunday , where they developed
banners to support democratic confederalism and against the Turkish occupation of Afriana.
There was Kurdish music. A representative of Mother's Peace Organization has read the call
for defense of the territory in the north of Syria and the democratic achievements of the
local people ( HERE ). In Barcelona , a protest was held on Sunday against the award of
the Gaudí Catalan Film Academy. A group of demonstrators entered the building and went
straight to the scene to convey a message of solidarity with the Kurdish people and
against the Erdogan Attacks ( HERE ). Greetings were sent by CNT members in Teruel, Spain
( HERE). In various places of Spain, giant anarchist posters appeared, depicting a Spanish
militia on one hand and one on the other side ( HERE ).

. Other solidarity events took place in the Basque Country after the premiere of the
documentary film " War" begins here in Gasteiz ( HERE ).
About 250 people took part in a march in Marburg, Germany ( HERE ). In the march of
solidarity, around 50 people gathered in Magdeburg in spite of unfavorable weather. The
Magdeburg police banned the use of the portrait of Abdullah Öcalan, but it did not affect
the good mood accompanied by the Kurdish song ( HERE ). Near the Unterlüßu in the
northeast of Lower Saxony, the Rheinmetall armaments company was blocked during the action
days to prevent the morning shift. Barriers have been built on several roads ( HERE ). In
North Flensburgin connection with # RiseUp4Rojava posters appeared and the Subtilus
infoshop in the city center was properly decorated. A screening was organized and about 25
people moved to Rheinmetall's branch office in Flensburg to protest arms supplies ( HERE

by about 120 people ( HERE ). Solidarized banners have also appeared in the city ( HERE ).
On Monday, at the University of Cologne, a group of Kurdish youths attended a number of
lecture halls and cafes with the "Defend Rojava" publicity to highlight German-Turkish
cooperation in suppressing the Kurdish Liberation Movement with supplies of weapons from
Germany ( HERE). In the Lower Saxon town of Celle, activists in the center of the city
placed a tank with the inscription "The war begins here. Stop It Here, "at the Commerzbank
branch, which is engaged in armament industry transactions. About 15 young people gave out

Leader Abdullah Öcalan ( HERE ). The Credit Suisse blockade was held in the same city. The
handout leaflet reads: "Many Swiss companies work closely with the Erdogan regime and
Credit Suisse is just one of the examples." ( HERE ) With the passage through their
neighborhoods, activists in Geneva ( HERE ) have passed their passports . Graffiti to
promote women's emancipation in Rojava appeared in Zurich ( HERE ), local anti-fascists

In Sweden, the threat to Rojava was commemorated in Stockholm or Malmö ( HERE ).
In London , one of the biggest demonstrations and other smaller events took place in the
presence of hundreds of people, for example, in front of the BBC radio station. In

On January 20, 2019, we found ourselves on the streets of Athens along with hundreds of
comrades and anti-fascists in the internationalist-anti-fascist concentration of the
Propylaia with a structured and organized presence against the nationalist rally on the
occasion of the completion of the vote of the Prespa agreement. ---- Following a series of
rallies, racist and nationalist delusions, with the open support of political parties,
state and parastatal mechanisms, journalist groups, a series of organizations expressing
hatred, racist and nationalist delusions in Athens and Thessaloniki during the previous
period on the occasion of the "Macedonian issue" , ecclesiastical, paramilitary and Nazi
organizations, attempted to mobilize again, without much success, this time the most
reactionary and conservative and congenital reflexes. They attempted to remind us of what
is about to happen if nationalism, fake divisions and inter-fusion between exploited and
oppressed dominate the social field, if state totalitarianism, the war and the
impoverishment that the state wants to impose.
On Jan. 20, against the background of police and media propaganda, we found ourselves in
the internationalist-anti-fascist mound of the Propylaea, realizing that the prospect of
warring societies, poverty and misery, the revival of nationalism and socialism would have
disastrous results for humanity. Classical and internationalist solidarity among the
peoples, the organized counter-attack of the exploited classes, and the overthrow of the
world of capitalism and the state at world level can shape the conditions for the creation
of a society of prosperity, equality, peace and justice, without exploitation,
transnational wars and disorienting competition.
Together with hundreds of other militants, anti-fascists, having the legacy left by the
internationalist mobilizations of the previous period (from the international gatherings
on Jan. 21 in Kamara and on 4 February in the Propylaea until the
Trans-Balkan-Transnistrian solidarity course in occupation of Libertatia on March 10), we
once again attempted to break the monopoly of state propaganda, sabotage the spread of
nationalist frenzy, and fight militarily against the tissue gangs.
We continue on the road of struggle, where the nationalist block and the fascist vault
that accompanies it struggle. We are sending a message of international solidarity to our
comrades in the Balkans and internationally.
We rebuild the occupation of Libertatia, an area of the movement that became the target of
parastatal fascists during the nationalist rally of 21 January 2018 in Thessaloniki. Only
the strengthening of our common struggles and solidarity can sweep the fascist threat and
block the attack on the world's political and economic bosses against the world's lobbies.
