Anas was sentenced to 8 months in prison

Dear friends –
Raped by two men and robbed. Arrested and abused with "anal tests". And now, sentenced to jail for being gay?
This is what Anas, a young man from Sfax, Tunisia, is facing right now.
At the hearing on February 11, the judge even said that Anas consented to having sex with the men who raped him.
And now, while wrongfully imprisoned, Anas is constantly harassed and bullied by other inmates who found out he is in jail for being gay.
Over 25,000 All Out members have already urged Tunisia's Prime Minister, Youssef Chahed, to release Anas immediately and unconditionally.
Friends – will you sign our petition and show Tunisian authorities that you won't back down until Anas is free?
– Matt

Dear friends –
Anas' story reads like pure horror: He was raped and robbed by two men. But when he went to the police to report the crime, they threw HIM into jail on charges of being gay instead of prosecuting his attackers.
To make things even worse, they forced him to undergo an anal test to "prove" he's gay.
The 22-year-old man from Tunisia has now been in prison for four weeks. He is constantly being harassed and attacked by his fellow inmates and he's on the verge of a nervous breakdown.
He needs to get out of this nightmare, but there's not much time left: his trial is coming up THIS MONDAY.
Release Anas right now. Sign.
All of this is only possible because it's still a crime to be gay in my country. At least 127 people were arrested under Tunisia's anti-gay law in 2018.
If we can help Anas, we will show that love can win in Tunisia. But we'll need your help to win this case.
We've seen it work before in Tunisia. Thousands of All Out members helped free Hèla, a young woman from Tunisia who was arrested twice just because she's trans.
Thanks for going All Out,
