Following the success of last year's decentralised anarchist festival, we're going to do
it again, but this time with events not just in London, but across the UK and Ireland.
---- The idea is simple: groups and venues put on their own programme of anarchist events,
centred around the long weekend of 31st May to the 2nd June 2019. The programme is
collated by us on our website and social media. ---- www.anarchistfestival.wordpress.com
---- www.facebook.com/anarchistfestival ---- www.twitter.com/anarchistfest---- Struggling
to think about what would be a good thing to put on? You can look at last years listings
to see what kind of stuff happened last year., but don't let that limit you! We welcome
events on anarchism, it's history, ideas and activity; as well as topics of interest to
anarchism such as ecology, workplace organising, mental health, feminism etc. We will
reject events that are racist, misogynist, transphobic or are otherwise oppressive.
If your event is in London and you would like it included in the programme please let us
know about it by emailing us at anarchistfestival@riseup.net
If your event is NOT in London (anywhere else in the UK or Ireland) and you would like it
included in the programme please let us know about it by emailing us at
nationalevents@riseup.net.
Please also contact us at those email addresses if you have a venue for use, but no events
in mind.
DEADLINE ALERT! Please be sure to submit your event by 1st May 2019 for inclusion in the
programme. Any event submitted later than this date will not be included.
Hope you can get involved - see you on the streets/ in the social centres!
Check out the leaflet below and feel free to print some out to put up in your local
library/ university/ bookshop/ community space. If you'd like the PDF please email us and
we'll send it over.

In recent releases, Emmanuel Macron talked about banning anonymity on the Internet by
claiming that it would help fight against harassment. But is it a good method ? Or would
it rather limit freedom of expression, and censor minorities ? ---- On January 18, during
one of his " big debates ", Emmanuel Macron had said he wanted a " gradual lifting of all
anonymity " . After a back-pedaling of Mounir Mahjoubi, the secretary of state in charge
of digital who was trying to clarify the position of the president (who would have liked
to limit this anonymity only for participatory democracy), Patatras: Emmanuel Macron put a
layer on February 7, going further: " I do not want anonymity on internet platforms
anymore " [1]If, at this stage (as in the case of state neutrality for newspapers), the
presidential project still looks rough, this did not prevent a majority MP and
spokesperson from On the Move, Laetita Avia, to take advantage of the release of the word
of victims against the harassment in the affair of the " League of lol " to put on
twitter: " The anonymity on social networks encourages a feeling of impunity for those who
allow to harass, humiliate and insult. The law against hate on the internet will better
raise this anonymity when these crimes are committed " . What does it matter, that in this
case, the stalkers have, for the most part, not at all anonymous.
Anonymity, a real problem ?
It is, moreover, a rather recurrent element in a number of cases of harassment,
homophobic, racist, misogynist, transphobic, anti-Semitic, etc.: It's not so much
anonymity that frees up speech as, no offense to those who constantly talk about "
well-being " And complain that they can no longer say anything, homophobia, racism,
misogyny, transphobia and anti-Semitism, which unfortunately remain rather uninhibited. In
fact, anonymity is very often relative: many people on Facebook use their name of civil
status, which does not prevent them from harassing or insulting. Even when there is a use
of a pseudonym, anonymity is often relative: in some cases, we know very well who the
person is (which is especially true when it comes to colleagues, acquaintances , family
members, etc.), and even when this is not the case, most sites have the means to identify
the person in case of prosecution (IP address, mail, not to mention the fact that these
platforms are increasingly insisting that they be provided with a phone number). If the
possibilities of surfing anonymously on the Internet exist (with Tor, for example), the
platforms like Facebook or Twitter do everything to discourage their use and to have the
maximum of data on their users. Not for the sake of transparency or to limit harassment,
but because they are theirbusiness model : have the most information about their users,
even if it is questionable.
What is certain, however, is that the use of a pseudonym is a real opportunity for part of
the population, who does not necessarily want his parents, colleagues, his current or
future employer or even her friends are aware of everything she can tell on Facebook,
Twitter, forum or blogs. And it's not so much to harass as to avoid harassment,
homophobia, etc. A young homosexual may have more difficulty speaking about his questions
or finding support via the Internet if he knows that his parents or classmates may fall on
it and identify him. It's even worse for trans people, especially because an important
part of any transitional journey is often to choose a new name, which initially is not
recognized by the state. In fact, the policy of "real name " imposed by Facebook has
mainly allowed the harassment of many trans people who did not have official documents in
their first name to show the police Facebook. On the issue of sexism too, in a number of
very masculine areas, women prefer to have a neutral or masculine pseudonym to avoid
sexist harassment, harrowing drag, and so on.
I have nothing to hide ...
The use of a pseudonym also makes it possible to have testimonials of a certain number of
professions compelled to the reserve or even to secrecy (lawyers for example). Not to
mention trades or activities where the use of a pseudonym is widespread: artists, writers,
etc. Obviously, the use of a pseudonym can also make it easier for trade unionists or
workers in a company to express themselves by limiting the risk of being fired, such as
this employee of Amazon dismissed for supporting the vests against the company. [2]
It is therefore not for nothing that doxxing is a fairly common practice among stalkers.
It consists of searching for and disclosing information about your private life, such as
your name, address, telephone number, etc. This is often the crossing of an additional
step in the level of violence, which sometimes led victims to move.
The revelation of identity, a practice of harassment
The lifting of any form of anonymity would be a blessing for all these stalkers: no need
to search, it is the government itself that would make available this information (or at
least the name of civil status, but from of it, between the directories and other
registers it is very often possible to obtain an address or a telephone number) !
It is of course possible that the unfortunate exits of the president and a spokesman of
the majority are due to ignorance and incompetence, that it is finally only to misuse the
use of Internet and harassment. However, let us not be so confident: the reminders to the
teachers, the will of the government to extend the obligation of neutrality, the recent
releases of the same president of the republic on the " neutrality " of the press imposed
by the State, the passing of a law strongly restricting the right to protest, the law on
the secrecy of business all go in the same direction: to restrict the freedom of
expression and to reinforce the powers of those who want to muzzle it.

On December 15, 2018, the Federation of Athenians and Libertarian Groups of Barrio de
Madrid was set up in the ESLA-EKO of Carabanchel, Madrid. Its programmatic purposes are:
1) Accumulate the knowledge generated by the daily action of federated collectives; 2) To
extend the anti-authoritarian and self-management practices in the neighborhoods and towns
of our territorial scope when focusing on the struggles; 3) Practice mutual support
between groups, reinforcing the different projects and their extension; 4) Conduct of
joint campaigns; and 5) Give collective responses to the concrete problems that arise in
daily life. ---- Any group that inspires its militant action from assembly, horizontal,
anti-authoritarian and self-management postulates, independently of the activity that it
develops, may be part of the "Federation".
We want self-organization and confrontation. We want the organization through the
confluence of collective structures, participatory and libertarian, where the conflict can
be discussed, softened and agreed.
We seek the confrontation with the "system", with its two sides of the same coin:
exploitative capitalism and oppressive state, to build a revolutionary discourse, clarify
positions and make pedagogical work a common dynamic; also to support us emotionally and
materially.
We refuse to be elites, vanguards, permanent committees; we want an organization that is
built from below, that converges in citizen action, from libertarian athenaeums,
neighborhood groups, free schools, feminist collectives, permanent forums for debate,
committees for the unemployed, etc .; in order to be the leaven that broadens what these
basic organisms are already putting into practice. In short, we seek to give the widest
possible visibility to all the fronts that are open in the neighborhoods and in the
villages to which revolutionary syndicalism does not reach.
In this way, sharing resources, experiences, dialoguing, we create organization and with
it we make converge the individual energies dispersed in collective nuclei with a capacity
of influence that contributes to take steps to the long-awaited revolution.
The social reality that we have had to live prevents the development of experiential
alternatives of all kinds. Capital, with its ubiquity, delimits us and crushes us. We are
facing the greatest accumulation of power ever known by humanity, well organized, capable
of manipulating the citizenry to the point of turning it into an amorphous mass of tame
individuals. To combat this "power" we organize ourselves: together we are stronger.
When we have sufficient resources and strength, we will have to give them utility to
promote social transformations that involve as many people as possible. For this we need
to equip ourselves with organisms that from the local, the immediate, the immediate, can
integrate and coordinate with global objectives, illuminating the path to a culture that
recovers solidarity and the common good as pillars of that new society that is about to be
born; We want to replace the reactionary neoliberal individualism with a solidarity
collectivism that humanizes our relations.
We have an arduous task ahead. Nobody can say that it is not exciting.

At the turn of last year and this year, the third number of the non-traditional zin
Mazinerie saw the light of day . It is the "one woman show" of the Lakka singer, who also
put her name in the name of the zine. Her creative intention is unambiguous, namely to
connect the worlds in which she moves. And at the same time to enrich them with
information, views and impressions of a slightly different dimension. To release another
zine number from the inner need to shout into the world, to communicate, to share ... and
to release the animal from the chain, forcing it to create something and to participate in
something. But it is not about self-representation so typical of today's atomized society
of late capitalism. Pages Mazinerie are an invitation for a wide circle of friends who
have something to say, whether words or artistic expression.
Mazinerieit combines especially the world of art, hardcore subculture and engagement of
all kinds. While declaring that "the target group does not exist", the target audience of
the readers is obvious. To bring the content closer, it's probably best to take it nicely.
Immediately at the beginning, Mary's enthusiasm for roaring in the band is evident from
the lyrics. And to activism. Collective 115, Simon, describes how we all "can organize
together for a better society". Everything looks so easy. Join a group of like-minded
friends, meet each week to set up a political group. And you wonder how easy it is to be
an activist... in Prague. It's a pity that this recipe is hardly anywhere else anywhere
else, or there is a thousand times more effort behind it with a hundred times more limited
impact. I had to sigh here a little over another well-intentioned text, entitled "Feminism
and veganism makes sense to connect". Any emancipation movement and progressive tendency
makes sense to link. But it should never be at the expense of rape concepts. To talk about
"social inequalities of women, animals, and other marginalized groups," makes things just
bearish.
And to art and through cans to the question of what needs to be saved. Interview with
Krepi, who carries bands in Europe. And another with Kara, who resides in Sweden and
answers, among other things, a very interesting question about whether racism or sexism is
worse. This is followed by a telling narrative about the (without) thought bubbles in the
real world and the inability of opinion confrontation. And from here in the moss you can
repeat the zine fest, which took place last April in Prague's Eternia (write down the
diaries that the next year is already at the door, on the 4th of May in the same place).
He continued to think about the time of postfact and the problems of communication with a
strange remark at the end of pride and national identity. Pictures, pictures, pictures,
pictures and one funeral. There is also some practical advice and experience - money is
the enemy, so how to survive, if they don't spare them. Maybe there'll be some duck
onCalendar 2019 . Before coloring a coloring book, enjoy the surreal story of an older
date. Then plant the carrot, bake the cake and enjoy the dark tones of the reviews.
Mazinerie No. 3. 76 pages in B5 format. 100 CZK. Write about zin at fiserova.ma[a]gmail.com.

democratic movement ---- The call for a " Global Climate Strike " on March 15th is an
important first step. The movement has already begun in Belgium, Sweden and Australia,
where many of its high school students have taken to the streets to defend their future.
Several figures, such as Greta Thunberg, have been erected into muses by the media. We
must refuse this personalization: it can only soften a struggle that must be radical,
collective and democratic. ---- Tear down 'green' capitalism ---- The system tries to
train students and students in the society of tomorrow, accelerating the disastrous
consequences of a harmful economic model. Durability of the consumer society,
agribusiness, gigantism, excessive digitization and restriction of freedoms and social
rights are on the agenda of "green" capitalism. It is possible to refuse that. But it
involves confronting capitalism as such. This is how we could redirect the choices of
production and organization of territories. Resignation, as well as "return to the land"
and "alternative" life, when disconnected from the collective struggles and realities of
the majority of the population, have no real impact.
Take action
Against the destruction of our environment, politicians can not be trusted. Individual
changes in consumption, if they are not absurd, will not be enough to provoke the
necessary political shock. To win, let's organize general assemblies in high schools and
colleges, inform our comrades an
