An order issued on December 30, 2018 strengthens the sanctions for the unemployed. It is a 
true criminalization of unemployment that the government inscribes in law. ---- On 
September 5, the law " for the freedom to choose one's professional future " consolidated

with regard to the employees deprived of employment. We only waited for the decrees of

resulting in a penalty if you refuse two. The text removes consideration of the salary 
previously received and replaces it with the average salary of the local market. This 
means that an applicant can no longer refuse a lower-paying job ! The decree also removes 
the legal limits to distances and travel times previously set at 30 kilometers or one hour 
of maximum journey home ! If we add to this the new orientations of Pôle emploi that can 
direct an applicant to a job no longer according to his job but his skills, we may quickly 
arrive at a situation where any job may be suitable to any applicant. This " reasonable 
offer " had never been really implemented before, considered too coercive by the staff of 
Pôle emploi. But from now on, with the powerful algorithms that are gradually replacing 
the agents, the sanctions are likely to develop massively.

This decree is simply shameful. The management of unemployment by the government is always 
more brutal. Several associations and unions have already started legal proceedings 
against the decree. Let's bet that the ongoing mobilizations allow it to be repealed.

Warsaw Environmental Commission during the "Refugees welcome" demonstration ---- About 2 
million immigrants and immigrants currently work in Poland. Most of them come from 
Ukraine, but there are also many people from countries such as Belarus, Moldova, Nepal, 
India and Bangladesh. Most often, they are employed in the construction industry, 
logistics, services and in agriculture. These people often work without contracts ("in 
black"), receive wages below the minimum wage or are forced to sign civil law contracts; 
they are also often hired through temporary employment agencies - employers try to stop 
the pressure on wage increases, thus gaining a cheap labor force that can be easily 
disposed of during a downturn.

Immigrants and immigrants have long been a part of the Polish labor market - they are our 
colleagues, co-workers and co-workers who have and have the same problems as us. The only 
thing that makes us different is their daily struggle with violence resulting from racist 
and xenophobic prejudices. Immigrants and immigrants are more and more victims of 
xenophobic attacks - data of the National Prosecutor's Office[LINK]indicate that in recent 
years the number of proceedings regarding "hate crimes" (i.e. motivated by racial, 
xenophobic and anti-Semitic biases) has doubled: from 835 in 2013 to 1 632 in 2016. Only 
here are cases, which have been reported and in which the police and prosecutors have 
initiated proceedings - the number of actual attacks and acts of violence is unknown, only 
assuming that it is much higher than official statistics (according to data collected by 
the Office for Equal Treatment of Ombudsman, as many as 92% of victims of discrimination

The rise of racist sentiments is a fact not only at the level of police statistics. It is 
also testified by the ever more insolent actions of organizations referring to nationalist 
or fascist ideas - the National Radical Camp, All-Polish Youth and informal groups of 
"Autonomous Nationalists". These organizations try to redirect immigrants and immigrants 
to social dissatisfaction related to low wages, overstated working hours or underfunding 
public services.

As a trade union, we have a duty to oppose both racism and all fascist movements. For this 
reason, we support the demonstration "Pretty Racism and Fascism," which on Saturday, March 
16, at 12:00 will depart from under the Copernicus Monument in Krakowskie Przedmiescie. We 
encourage all members and members of the Warsaw OZZ Employee Initiative to join the 
demonstration and to jointly express opposition to racism and fascism.

work agency. As a trade union, we fight to improve their working conditions and encourage 
them to join the union - that there will be no unhealthy competition and reluctance 
between Poles and Ukrainians on whom we all lose. Participation in the demonstration on 
March 16, expressing opposition to racism and fascism is a symbolic gesture for us - 
showing that the trade union is an organization for all employees and workers, regardless 
of their nationality.

Works Commission at the University of Warsaw:

The OZZ Factory Committee of the Workers' Initiative at the University of Warsaw fully 
supports the demonstration under the slogan "Pretty Racism and Fascism!"

Why do we think it is important? As academics and academics, we know how serious the

statist factions to the Venezuelan situation, and it is precisely to them and their

of their untiring efforts to confuse it. On one hand we have the defenders of liberal 
capitalism, with their political antics of representative electoral democracy, presenting 
the Venezuelan setback as the inevitable result of the search for economic and political 
alternatives; on the other we have the paladins of state capitalism with their caricature 
of authoritarian socialism. Both sides are committed to jointly validating each other as 
the sole options for understanding and proposing the trajectory of Venezuelan society, as 
well as hiding their great similarities when defining and applying the strategies of 
oppression and exploitation that are imposed on the community: State and Capital.

Saying that "democratic" versus "socialist left" are essentially the same does not go down 
well with those who adher to either of them, but in El Libertario (The Libertarian) we 
have, over many years, insisted on presenting compelling evidence that proves it. So, for 
example, both of them prattle on about anti-capitalism as something that defines the 
Bolivarian regime, whilst we only need to see how the governments of Chavez and Maduro 
have repeatedly invited and made deals with transnational capital, associated with the 
development of the extractive exploitation model of the natural resources of Venezuela. 
This policy culminated with the official deal to allow the ecocidal exploitation through 
the Arco Minero del Orinoco (large-scale mining project) which counts on silent support of 
the parliamentary opposition that is so loud on other issues, but with its tacit approval 
would not modify this model of looting plunder at all, if it came to power.

Another common policy is to refuse to acknowledge the militarist essence that the Chavez 
government had from the beginning, which has deepened over subsequent years. Especially 
now, where there are ongoing negotiations with the military as Maduro's support wanes, 
they are being offered impunity (disguised as "amnesty") from all responsibility for the 
outrages and corruption that are characteristic of a regime of which they have been key 
supporters. From the two dominant interpretations of the national crisis there is a huge 
effort to ignore that, from his ascension to the presidency in 1999, Chavez gave priority 
to military presence in the workings of government in a way not seen in Venezuela since 
the military dictatorship of the 1950s. Military predominance was reinforced from 2013 
under Nicolas Maduro, reaching such a height that it has been one of the defining features 
of this dictatorial regime. With the proclaimed "transition" that is envisioned for sooner 
rather than later, the mood among the opposing political cliques to take over state power 
is bound to maintain the military elite with the juicy spoils they have enjoyed over the 
past decades, such that both "socialists" and "democrats" just accept the nefarious 
reality of militarist blackmail that has been imposed and grows in 21st Century Venezuela.

Intervention by external powers: Now you see it, now you don't

The leaders of both sides will grumble that we are ignoring an essential aspect of the 
fierce confrontation between them, vociferously denouncing how the rival gang is a servile 
agent of foreign interests. For the right-wing and social-democratic opposition, the evil 
foreign shadow is foremost the Cuban dictatorship, which has not only been a privileged 
parasite of Venezuela's notoriously buoyant oil income, but is also a decisive factor in 
imposing an authoritarian model that attempts to follow the steps of the one that rules in 
Havana; then China is mentioned, with growing importance as a financier and creditor of 
the Venezuelan government, and Russia, with less economic weight but which is a worthy 
political-military backer. In addition, reference is made to the presence -now declining

presence of officials Cubans in military installations and state security becomes 
invisible data for some. Similarly for others, who are aware of the lucrative deals that 
the Maduro government has agreed with the transnational banks, there is a pretence of 
ignorance about the ways, yet again, that there is stealthy agreement amongst its 
"irreconcilable" opponents.
