Hi,
We're Isa and Isaque from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Since last year's election, violent homophobic and transphobic attacks have been on the rise here. Our new president unabashedly incites this hate, saying things like he'd rather "have a dead son than a gay one."
It's terrifying and hard to tell what places are safe for LGBT+ people like us. But we're trying to change that.
We've come up with an exciting business plan to launch a service called Pink at Work – Brazil's first and only platform featuring LGBT+ businesses. With Pink At Work, LGBT+ Brazilians will know what places are safe and LGBT+ entrepreneurs will be able to connect and support each other.
We're so ready to put this plan into action! But due to the rise in homophobia and transphobia, we've struggled to get any funding. Thankfully, All Out has given us a chance to make our dream a reality. That's why they decided to connect us to you.
We want Pink At Work to be a virtual guidebook so that LGBT+ people feel safe when leaving the house and know how to support LGBT+ businesses in their communities. This could impact the lives of thousands of LGBT+ people in Brazil!
With Isa's skills as a software developer and Isaque's skills as a teacher, we know we can pull this off. All we need is US$1939 to make it happen.
Your donation today will help us cover costs for designing, building, hosting, and running the online platform, legal fees for formal registration, and a marketing campaign to get the word out.
Thanks for standing with LGBT+ Brazilians!
Isa Colucci and Isaque Lima
Co-founders of Pink At Work
