The worst line-up of speakers ever

Dear friends –

Later this month, one of the world's most powerful anti-choice and anti-LGBT+ groups is gearing up for its annual meeting here in Italy. And my government is welcoming them with open arms.

Dubbed a "hate group" by major human rights organisations, the World Congress of Families (WCF) has been fighting hard against divorce, contraception, abortion, and the rights of rainbow families and LGBT+ people around the world.

The question is: why are multiple institutions in the Italian government endorsing them?

If thousands of us – in Italy and around the world – speak out, we can get this story on the news and give the Italian government enough media trouble they will have no option other than to withdraw their support.

Will you sign my petition and tell the Italian government to stop supporting hate?

Check out some of the speakers they have lined up for this conference:

The president of an organisation that put up posters in Italy that say "Abortion is the main cause of femicide in the world".

A Ugandan politician that supported the "Kill the Gays" bill in her country, and claimed "[homosexuals] are after destroying our cultures and youth".

An Italian doctor that said "the sexual act between two people of the same sex is a form of physical violence also used as a practice of initiation into Satanism".

A leader of the Russian Orthodox Church who once compared homosexuality to a "contagious plague".

Sign the petition and tell the Italian government not to endorse the World Congress of Families.
