Ethel, Chuck, and Ugs the lambs were triplets. They were less than a month old — so young, in fact, that they were still being bottle-fed. They were kept in a barn on a nearby farm, until one night there was a break-in. Afterwards, the skins of these three newborn animals were found discarded on the side fo the road. The rest of their remains had disappeared, presumably taken by whoever killed them. Now the staff are facing the unbearable task of telling the children what has happened to their pet lambs. Facing this difficult duty, one staff member said, "I am currently in bits."
