9 May, a press conference announcing a collective dispute in Amazon logistics warehouses 
took place at the seat of the American Embassy in Warsaw. The OZZ Inter-enterprise 
Committee The Workers' Initiative and the Factory Union Organization of NSZZ Solidarnosc, 
operating at the Amazon, issued joint demands: ---- We demand worthy earnings for all 
employees ---- We demand an increase of the basic hourly rate to at least PLN 25 net and 
equate earnings in all warehouses included in the company. Polish warehouses mainly serve 
Amazon's German customers. At the same time, employees of German warehouses within a month 
work about 20 hours shorter, without night shifts, at a slower pace, there is no system of 
negative performance assessments. In Poland, doing the same work, but in worse conditions, 
we earn 3 times less and we do not receive employee shares.Amazon determines the amount of 
wages based on data on unemployment, wages in the industry and in the regions from which 
it recruits employees. In determining wages, however, it does not take into account the 
profits that generate thousands of employees employed by him. It pays us much less than 
our work is worth feeding on inequalities in society and deepening them where it opens 
warehouses - indicates Maria Malinowska, a member of the Presidium of the OZZ Employee 
Initiative at Amazon Poland.
We demand a lower pace of work and a fair employee assessment

An increase in work efficiency should result in shorter working hours and wage increases. 
Nevertheless, Amazon organizes productions in such a way that standards and productivity 
grow several times faster than wages. This happens at the expense of our health and life. 
Amazon requires that we work like machines. As indicated by last year's inspections of the 
National Labor Inspectorate, the workload on more than twice as many work examinations 
exceeds the permissible norms specified in the labor law - says Grzegorz Cison, chairman 
of Solidarnosc at Amazon Poland. Recently, the court reinstated a member of the Workers' 
Initiative who was dismissed for not making standards, justifying that "in Amazon, the 
employee evaluation system presupposes that there will always be those who should be 
assessed negatively . "Furthermore," you should not use the same standards for 20- and 
50-year-olds at a forced pace ". In the court's opinion such setting the procedure is an 
example of "treating the employee objectively and making the employer's mind only for 
profit". This is confirmed by the opinion of a court expert who found that work at Amazon 
is organized inadequately to its heavy and monotonous character and that the employer, 
when assessing an employee, should take into account the human's capabilities, his age, 
predispositions, psychophysical condition. According to art. 9. the Labor Code provisions 
contained in the work regulations can not be less favorable than those resulting from the 
labor code, otherwise they can be considered invalid. The Code requires an employee to 
perform the work "carefully and conscientiously" . For these reasons, we request the 
indefinite suspension of Annex No. 3 to the Work Regulations and the commencement of the 
procedure for establishing a new employee appraisal procedure with both trade unions.

We demand employment stability

The American corporation that runs the world's largest mail order sales network employs 
approx. 16 thousand directly in Poland. employees and a few thousand more through external 
companies. This is not a seasonal practice, in this way it employs a whole year, 
constantly exchanging employees for new ones . Those who manage to stay in the company are 
temporarily employed for a period of one month. Then, they work for 1.5 years on 
fixed-term contracts. In total, the period of unstable employment may last longer than 2 
years. During this time, employees can not go on sick leave without risking dismissal and 
are constantly working at the highest level, competing with each other for another 
contract. A 3-month trial contract is definitely enough to check the employee.The use of 
temporary contracts serves to increase the pace of work, put pressure on employees and 
discipline. Such contracts allow for quick dismissals, which according to union 
organizations is an abuse. We demand the withdrawal of temporary and temporary (annual) 
employment contracts in all company warehouses.

Failure to meet requests within 7 days from the date of their submission will initiate a 
collective dispute between the unions and the employer. This means that negotiations 
should soon begin in the company regarding postulates put forward by trade unions with the 
participation of representatives of the employer and trade union organizations. If they do 
not bring an agreement, the next step is mediation conducted by a mediator who can be 
appointed by the Ministry of Family Labor and Social Policy. The collective dispute allows 
union organizations to organize a strike referendum in the company.

The counterinsurgency strategy in regions populated by first peoples supporting the 
Zapatista National Liberation Army (EZLN) has intensified since President Andrés Manuel 
Lopez Obrador's (AMLO) administration took power in Mexico, according to human rights 
watch groups deployed in Chiapas. In a report published on May 2, 2019, the Fray Bartolomé 
de las Casas Human Rights Center, ("Frayba") stressed that in April alone, army units 
conducted 14 incursions into the territory surrounding La Realidad Caraol in the Lacandón 
rainforest. ---- Among the operations that were spotted, observers saw military patrols 
with tanks. In January, just days after the EZLN released a strong critique of AMLO's 
government from La Realidad, soldiers entered the community four different times and 
conducted another four helicopter flyovers.

According to the watch groups' report, personnel from the Ministry of National Defense 
(Sedena, its Spanish acryonym), dressed as civilians, had entered La Realidad to ask about 
the EZLN's activities.

The Denunciations Increase

Zapata's assassination, the EZLN decried that, with the new government, "the military,

and Rutilio Escandón Cadenas's new state government represents an assault on the lives of 
First Peoples' communities in Chiapas that defend their right to autonomy, 
self-determination, and territory.

López was extrajudicially executed, members of the Historic Independent Union of 
Agricultural Workers and Peasants (Central Independiente de Obreros Agrícolas y

school and the autonomous clinic, also threatening to dismantle the Madre de los Caracoles 
del Mar de Nuestros Sueños (Mother of the Sea of Our Dreams Caracoles, another name for La 
Realidad Caracol). That action was a pretext for the Sedena to intensify militarization, 
which the Frayba pointed out was an act of intimidation, instead of looking for justice 
and for civil and peaceful means to resolve the conflict.0

One of the Causes: Mining and Megaprojects

This isn't the first time this year that the human rights group, based in San Cristóbal de 
las Casas, has denounced military actions against organizations against communities that 
defend their territories in Chiapas, in the south of Mexico.

On Saturday, April 13, the fourth annual show of Czech and Slovak fanzines took place in 
Siberia, Brno. From the second hour, visitors could walk among the stands of various 
publishers and zine publishers, who also added distra bands. The show was truly varied - 
their creations were presented by the creators and creators of feminist zines Rote Zora or 
Drzost , an underground publishing house of Prehistory or Zádruha. From the titles, Death 
, Telepathy , Destructor, or Kolyma were available . There was also the Anarchist

authoritarianism, imperialism, chauvinism, military aggression against other countries
