As we told you in a previous article , Mitsosakis made the eviction of all Exarchia part
of his electoral campaign. We gather thanks to the testimonies of compas like Yannis
Youlountas and members of Rouvikonas what is to come and how it is being noticed. ---- The
police operation "Law and order" against Exarchia and Rouvikonas would be almost ready to
be launched. The countdown is nearing its end (09/07) ---- According to the new minister
of public order, Michalis Chrysochoidis, and the deputy minister in charge of penitentiary
and penal policy, Lefteris Economou, the state's plan would be ready to attack the rebel
neighborhood of Athens. A huge police device is being prepared with the MAT (the
equivalent of the French CRS), DIAS fighters, intelligence officers, anti-terrorist teams
and other units. The new Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis wants his mandate to begin by
launching a major coup, as quickly as possible, against the anarchists and the "hoods" who
would be responsible for drug and arms trafficking in the capital. "Migrants" would be
equally responsible for this situation according to television channels, more specifically
"employed by anti-authoritarians" in a kind of "libertarian mafia and international center".
In short, a great paranoia in all media to justify the imminent offensive of the Greek
state against one of the few bastions of self-management in Europe. A district of Exarchia
that "gives very bad ideas to other places, for too long," especially in its resistance
against police incursions. The new government has announced the imminent evacuation of all
occupied places, regardless of the purpose of the squat, throughout the neighborhood, and
numerous searches to look for drugs, weapons and other equipment used in struggles.
The main police commissioners say they are ready to intervene and some of their
subordinates have even made a fuss on Facebook announcing their joy of going to harass
anarchists and migrants. For example, Constable Konstantinos Iliopoulos said: "From
tomorrow, shit anarchists and sons of bitches, we will be in Exarchia as if it were our
house with the Delta force" (an infamous group of very violent people recruited from the
most virulent extreme right) . The government also worries about the idea of classifying
Rouvikonas as a terrorist organization, something its predecessors resigned a year ago 1 .
" Definitely preventing the damage of Rouvikonas is the prime minister's priority"His
spokesperson, K * Vox, his Exarchia headquarters, is in the crosshairs of this operation
that could start any dawn.
It is difficult to say exactly when or how the raids will develop, but we expect a lot of
violence from the MAT, eager to take revenge on this neighborhood that they have long
hated and where the members of the anarchist movement find refuge. What is certain is that
Exarchia will not let them get it and, above all, that it will be more difficult for them
to maintain control of the neighborhood in the long term than to return to it. I will not
say more here. Thank you for your support wherever it comes from: it must be said that
once again a state wants to subdue an area of resistance, a laboratory of autonomy,
self-management and libertarian experiences, but also a great alternative to host the
sordid refugee camps. In other words, once again, the power wants to make the utopia
disappear so as not to lose its imprint. Sooner or later it will be the power or us.
Freedom or death Because capitalism and the authoritarian society lead us to stagnation in
all aspects. Or this deadly society will continue to destroy the world, sooner or later or
we will be liberated and save our lives or try something else. Of course, the next few
days will be difficult and perhaps even tragic. Among the many policemen who will come to
hunt us, beat us or stop us in the labyrinth of the neighborhood and its shadows, there
will be neo-Nazis and other fascist bugs eager to make us suffer, to take revenge for the
fall of Golden Dawn and simply to break to the left, the migrant , to the anarchist. But
we are not afraid. We are not afraid of the present because we are already in tomorrow. We
have another way of living together, in our heads and in our hearts, a world free of the
horrors that disfigure it, a life without tyrants or servants. We do not resist for
Exarchia, but for all: more than for a day, for all the others that we need to leave the
political prehistory of humanity.
(09/07)
Yesterday, motorized police officers passed by the squatter of Notara 26 migrants
(northwest corner of Exarcheia) and shouted to the comrades who were on duty: "the battles
and the jail will arrive soon!"
(10/07)
It seems that instructions have been given to avoid any external communication other than
that which media reporters will propagate in the coming days. For its part, Facebook has
just deleted several pages of the Exarchia collectives, beginning with Rouvikonas for the
second time.
Exarchia prepares to resist (13/07)
8:30 am in Athens. I go to bed, after several meetings and a night of guard in the squat
of Notara26 with other solidarity and residents. EXARCHEIA IS PREPARED TO RESIST. Everyone
is determined not to give in to the threats of the state that is about to attack. Several
power outages today, including Notara26, confirm the proximity of the assault. The
information reaches us. The policemen are preparing. The new government absolutely wants
to get us on our knees as soon as possible. The whole neighborhood redoubles its
suspicions. The many places and groups tighten their bonds to resist. Exarchia meets,
thinks, organizes ... We may not stay long, but we will not give up without fighting.
Thank you for all your support messages that warm our hearts. We are just a front line
among others, between utopia and dystopia, because this authoritarian attack is global.
But even if the power manages to destroy Exarcheia, which will not be easy, it will not be
able, whatever happens, to erase its history.
ALERT NOTARA 26 / EXARCHIA!!!
On Friday morning, the employees of the state energy company cut electricity from the
residential squatter for refugees and migrants. Note 26. According to these same
employees, they were acting on orders from the police. We ask the activists of the social
movement and solidarity to be alert. We request an open meeting this Saturday, July 13 at
5:00 p.m., SOLIDARITY IS OUR WEAPON!

Note to keep in mind: this is not the time to do revolutionary tourism, nor to take
pictures in which people are identified (as happened five years ago, seeing strangers
recording will automatically mean the destruction of the material) or to overwhelm
questions to the activists who are preparing to defend a whole project of life.

The Hong Kong revolutionaries invaded Hong Kong's parliament on July 1, 2019, to protest
against the Chinese communist party's despotism, which seeks to expand its hold on the
territory. ---- Inside the parliament, after having destroyed the symbols of the control
of the Communist Party over the territory, they unfurled a black banner on which one could
read "there are no violent people[rioters], There is only a violent politic [tyranny]".
---- They also deployed a Yellow Vest as a sign of solidarity with the Yellow Vests in
France. ---- It is a movement without a leader or representative, but extremely organized
and supportive. That a movement can develop and be victorious, without leader or
representative is something incomprehensible for our leaders, and the media who are
supporting them. Our Masters absolutely need representatives, in such an extent that they
want to create ones at any cost (as we saw during the Yellow Vests movement in France, in
November and December, when the Prime Minister Philippe begged someone of the Yellow Vest
to come to Matignon[Prime Minister residence]to meet him and have a talk, or when the
TVnews chain BFM tried to put forward personalities from Yellow vests, but that have been
repudiated immediately by the rank-and-file). They also try to explain to us that the
"people" demand for leaders or representaive. They can not understand that we can make and
do without any representative. It must be said that the whole system is today organized
according to the principle of hierarchy (companies, parties, unions, the organization of
the government, the army regime, etc.). This scheme is so entrenched that they do not get
to see otherwise. So in Hong Kong for sure that our media should not understand anything
about the situation!
The fact that we simultaneously observe self-organized movements, with similar slogans
against Power and its violence, in Asia as in Hong-Kong, in Europe with Yellow Vests, or
in Africa in Algeria and Sudan , demonstrates obviously that the claims for Freedom, for
Dignity and for Solidarity are universal aspirations, which surpass all the false
identitary differences, and which sign the true mark of the Human Civilization,
By their gesture, the revolutionaries of Hong Kong renew with the revolutionary and
anarchist spirit which animated the young students of the Movement of May 4th 1919 or
those of Tian-An-Men in May 1989!
The Hong-Kong movement is a reflection of what is happening in mainland China where every
year there are more than 100,000 "mass incidents" (to use the Party's terminology),
whether for wage, environmental or peasant expropriation issues.
With the rise of the new Chinese imperialism, what is happening right now in China and
Hong Kong concerns all of us!
The movement is not currently weakening, but we can expect a repression - fierce and
immediate or devious and deferred - against this revolutionary and popular movement.
Solidarity with the revolutionaries of Hong Kong!

The demonstration of 1 million that we reported in a previous article was dwarfed by that
on the following Sunday, June 16th, which numbered two million. The chief executive of
Hong Kong, Carrie Lam, apologised for the extradition bill but stopped short of saying
that it would be scrapped, although she said that it would not be revived during the
current legislative session. ---- The huge demonstration was followed by a stay-away
strike, most effective in schools and universities. Resentment against the extradition
bill is compounded by the perception among many young people in Hong Kong of the vast gap
between rich and poor. The actions of youth were reinforced by assemblies organised by
groups of mothers, who supported their offspring and gathered crowds of 6,000.
On 1st July, which commemorates the anniversary of Hong Kong's re-incorporation into
China, over 500,000 demonstrated. At the same time demonstrators made an attempt to occupy
the Legislative Council building. 500 demonstrators accomplished this at 9pm that night,
spray-painting the building and then deciding to leave. They stated:
"We are protesters from the civic society. If there's a choice, we wish we didn't have to
protest against tyranny with our own bodies, and didn't have to occupy the Hong Kong
Legislative Council as a bargaining chip in negotiations with the Government. But the
Government has put aside all principles and procedures, ignored the demands of Hong Kong
People, and repeated their lame arguments and lied over and over again. By facing with
this rule and unreasonable government, we will have no choice but to fight back with
justice, conscience and love of both Hong Kong and HongKongers."
Carrie Lam attempted to caricature the occupiers as rioters, although they had behaved
in an orderly way. The Hong Kong government has now made arrests, at the time of counting
over 70 people being detained.
The movement is well-organised, with first aid posts, water and food supplies and an
intricate system of communication via social media and mobile telephones. As one
participant noted, it is based on decentralised and leaderless actions, facilitated by
these new forms of communication.
The movement has inflicted several defeats on the Hong Kong administration, with the
suspension of the bill, the dropping of charges against some demonstrators and a personal
apology from Lam. If it is to succeed it must escalate its actions to scrap the bill.
Against this are ranged the powers of the Hong Kong administration and the massed ranks of
the police, with possible intervention from the regime in Beijing.
Lam had to admit the bill was dead in early July but there has been no formal withdrawal
of the bill and the movement has vowed to continue their actions. They are also demanding
an independent inquiry into the brutal methods used by the police on June 12th when tear
gas and rubber bullets were deployed against the movement.
Some leftists have attempted to characterise the movement as right-wing and inspired by
American and British imperialism. This reveals the blinkered and bankrupt attitudes of
these individuals, who continue to defend the state capitalist regime of Xi Jinping as if
it were some socialist paradise. Whilst there has been some involvement of right wing
groups who have attempted to influence the movement, it remains one inspired by youth and
workers, based on decentralisation, and opposed to exploitation. In the medium and long
term, the Xi Jinping regime sees the movement in Hong Kong as a threat to its power, with
continuous demonstrations on the anniversary of the Tienanmen Square massacre, where many
thousands were massacred by the "People's" Army. The movement in Hong Kong has to spread
to the mainland and the movement in Hong Kong needs to establish links with workers,
peasants and students actions there.
