The advent of a libertarian society would not mean the end of history and the
establishment of an "earthly paradise" ; relations of domination could subsist or
resurface. It will remain important to put forward values, to continue to question
operations, practices, and probably struggles. ---- Observations of newts during the
victory demonstration at Notre-Dame-des-Landes, in February 2018. ---- cc Daniel Maunoury
---- Libertarian communism aims to articulate as harmoniously as possible our need to
belong to a collective and our aspirations to be recognized and respected in our
singularity. What we are aiming for is a society where everyone for himself is replaced by
cooperation and mutual aid. A society where there are no longer those who own, and those
who have nothing or little. A society where there are no longer rich or poor. A society
where the orders of the ruling minorities are swept away by the collective, free and
assumed choices. A society where the individual, the local, the particular and the
collective, the social, the cultural: an egalitarian and libertarian society are balanced
and mutually supportive.

Equality and freedom can only be effective in a real democracy that prevents the
reconstitution of a new power and new oppressions, which allows each and everyone to
assert their choices and aspirations. Libertarian communism is horizontal and direct
democracy ; the sovereign people self-institutes society, self-governs its policy,
self-manages its production and more generally determines its collective needs and ways of
responding to them.

Self-management of production, freed from the imperatives of productivism and the race for
profit, can finally put at the service of individuals research and technical advances.
Respectful of the environment, it opens the way to a new relationship reintegrating the
community of humans into the balance of ecosystems.

Because it satisfies collective needs and is rid of the exploitation report, the work can
make sense, lose its alienating character, allow everyone to gain control of their activities.

Individual and collective emancipations are inseparable
The egalitarian satisfaction of the needs expressed in a society founded on the
emancipation of individuals and basic communities does not mean leveling or
standardization, and respects the multiplicity of lifestyles, tastes and aspirations.

Libertarian communism is the fight for a society where individuals are free, equal and
responsible. Free in a world of material necessities, and in a society where we
participate in common tasks and collective responsibilities. Free to express themselves,
to create ; free from their lifestyles, their sexualities, their cultures. Responsible,
masters of their work, participating in the side of all and all self-management of
production and society. Equal to all, and therefore equal with everyone in the
distribution of labor products.

To foster this empowerment, a self-managed society must make access to education,
information and culture effective on an emancipatory basis.

Libertarian communism is the end of a certain order of the world. The end of colonialism
and imperialism, in favor of an egalitarian and united relationship between all peoples,
based on the productive autonomy of each region, and the sharing of wealth between rich
and poor areas. The end of the state order, in favor of a free federation of self-managed
regions. The end of borders and the threat of war, for a world without barriers and
totally demilitarized.

Defend an ethics
The advent of a libertarian society would not mean the end of history and the
establishment of an "earthly paradise" ; relations of domination could subsist or
resurface. It will remain important to put forward values, to continue to question
operations, practices, and probably struggles.

All of these values imply a coherence between means and ends without which there is no
hope of living libertarian communism. This is why, without waiting for a revolutionary
change, we are trying to make its goals live here and now, in our actions and our
commitments, in our living and struggling spaces.

The CNT-AIT is a union of workers with many years of struggle and experience behind them.
Our unionism is far from bureaucracy and offices, it is done in the street, in the pits,
in the workplace. ---- We organize all the workers in the same production sector in the
branch unions of the CNT-AIT, we do so to practice daily Solidarity and not to fall into
the error of thinking that trade unionism is to fix our personal problem and forget of
others. For example, when a labor dispute arises in a company, no matter what branch it
is, the entire CNT-AIT starts up to defend those workers who have problems. ---- We trust
nothing in the courts and laws. Do not ignore, that the laws are made by those who rule
and almost always forget those who work. That is why in the CNT-AIT we practice direct
action, that is, the union puts pressure on the employer, the executives of the company or
the company directly, without intermediaries, without company committees, without
professionals of politics or unionism. When these leaders participate in workers'
representatives in labor problems, they almost always end up signing cambalaches that harm
us. There are the last years full of bad agreements, wild reconversions, industrial
desertification, social pacts, etc. And in all is the signature of the "representative"
unions.

When the CNT-AIT makes a decision it is because its members have voted in the assemblies,
there are no leaders here. Likewise, when the CNT-AIT sits down to negotiate in a labor
dispute, it defends exactly and literally what the workers' assembly of that company or
workplace has said, that is, the trade union section. The participation of workers in
decision-making and in the design of mobilization campaigns is essential, if this is not
done, the workers lose our fighting capacity, our rebellion and dignity, we lose the
possibility of thinking for ourselves. and of being independent. When that happens,
entrepreneurs do what they want with us.

What is happening now? After so many years of company committees, of professional trade
unionists, of thousands of union hours used to walk the briefcase, of subsidies to the
unions ... After all this they impose a hard labor reform and increasingly worse working
conditions: contracts temporary with the constant fear of dismissal, jobs in contracts and
Temporary Work Companies, piecework, freelance jobs, etc.

In companies, members of the CNT-AIT practice union action through the Trade Union
Sections, never through the company committees. The union section is the set of all the
members of the CNT-AIT in a company, that is why it is all the affiliates, and not only
the delegates, who carry out the union action: information to the workers of the plans and
actions of the company, complaint of violations of regulations, laws and agreements,
defense of colleagues who have conflicts with the employer, development of claims
platforms, organization of solidarity campaigns with workers from other companies or
sectors, etc.

The delegates of the trade union sections of CNT-AIT are rotating among the affiliates of
the Trade Union Section. When they are appointed by an assembly to attend a negotiation
they are appointed exclusively for a specific issue and with the positions that the
assembly fixes exactly, In addition, in that negotiation he will not sign anything as long
as the workers do not decide in assembly.

The delegates of the trade union sections of CNT-AIT are in their jobs, nothing of
professional unionism. In the few companies that take union hours, we do it for specific
things and inform on the bulletin boards so that we have used those hours.

CNT-AIT affiliates believe that information is essential, so our union action has an
important pillar in the continuous information of workers. If a worker is informed of
their rights, the situation of their colleagues, the situation of other company workers or
different branches, the problems of their environment, etc. he will be more likely to be
free, to be independent, to be tolerant, to be supportive, not to be overwhelmed and to
demand his claims. That is, we encourage a participatory, solidarity, non-bureaucratic
union action, attached to the workers, away from the offices.

Many times they have called us utopians to insult us. Yes, we are utopian, but what we
defend in companies, in sectors, in neighborhoods and in the towns where we move are real,
concrete rights. We are not illusive that we are in the clouds but we want to change this
society. A flea cannot kill an elephant, but many fleas can fill his body with hives, and
at worst the elephant changes, or maybe he dies, because that ...

We modernize, we update, we catch up, we are in the 21st century but we do not become
understanding with power. Today, as yesterday, we think that power corrupts, that nothing
is fixed from power (well, nothing more than the problem that the chair occupies), that we
either fix the problems below or continue to submit them. That's why parliaments,
politicians, business committees, business executives, governments, town halls don't like
us at all, we distrust them and everyone who aspires to reach them.

We do anarcho-syndicalism, that is, a syndicalism of anarchist ideas. Other unions live on
subsidies, the money that INEM gives them for training courses for the unemployed, the
businesses of their companies, the debts forgiven by the state, Social Security, etc. We
live on our quotas and our work and period. We do not want "favors" of power.

The CNT-AIT is not comprehensive with the crises of capital, if they have crises that
solve it, they have created them for that. We fight for our rights.

The release of Epaminondas Korkoneas came after a court on Monday, July 29, reduced his
life sentence to premeditated murder to just 10 years, based only on good behavior for the
killer, meaning any Greek police officer can shoot and kill children because they haven't
killed anyone before. Another scandalous aspect of the case is that the life sentence was
reduced to 10 years, despite the fact that a few years ago during a trial he publicly said
in court that "he will not apologize to a 15-year-old boy for shooting him" . At the same
time, policeman Vasilis Saraliotis, his crime partner who was on patrol with Korkoneas on
the night of the murder, was found not guilty of any crime,
The murder of Alexis Grigoropoulos that triggered the December 2008 Uprising

December 6, 2008, minutes after 9 pm - December Revolt hour. Two policemen draw their
weapons and one shoots a group of young people leaving on a Saturday night in the heart of
Exarchia district in central Athens, an area with a long history of insurrection against
authority and socio-economic unrest. and politics, inhabited mainly by anarchists,
anti-authoritarians and liberals. The police bullet finds in the heart and kills
Alexandros Grigoropoulos, 15 years old.

As news of Alexis's murder spreads, mostly over the internet, hundreds of people from the
rest of Athens gather in Exarchia, which is surrounded by hundreds of police officers,
which in turn infuriates people and the neighborhood quickly catches fire. , with burning
barricades and stone attacks on the police, this lasted all night.

Almost the same night, Exarchia's revolt spreads throughout Greece, with attacks on police
stations, even in villages. Protests and demonstrations, which escalated into widespread
revolt in Greece every day and over the coming weeks, as public buildings were seized and
occupied by protesters in dozens of towns and villages across the country.

Outside Greece, demonstrations of solidarity, riots and clashes with local police also
take place in more than 70 cities around the world, including London, Paris, Brussels,
Rome, Dublin, Berlin, Frankfurt, Madrid, Barcelona, Amsterdam, The Hague, Copenhagen,
Bordeaux, Cologne, Seville, Sao Paulo, as well as Nicosia, Cyprus, and Paphos prove for
the first time before the "Arab Spring" that people can spread the word and react through
protests for the same reason around the world, from San Francisco to Wellington and from
Buenos Aires to Siberia.

While the unrest was triggered by the police murder of Alexis Grigoropoulos, the reactions
lasted long simply because they were rooted in deeper causes, such as the next financial
crisis a year later, which was already felt by the poorer classes and younger generations.
, unemployment rate and a feeling of general inefficiency and corruption of the right-wing
authorities, institutions and politicians of the Greek state (mainly New Democracy and
PASOK parties).

Conscientious objector Maya Brand-Feigenbaum was sentenced to 20 days in prison for
refusing to serve in the Israeli army for occupation policies. On July 14,
Brand-Feigenbaum was punished for refusing to serve since his appointment. ----  -I refuse
to serve in the army because I believe this is the best and most meaningful way to promote
my anti-war principles and end the profession , Brand says Brand-Feigenbaum . Decades of
control over a nation jeopardize the security of the State of Israel. As a woman who loves
this country, whose landscapes and people are part of me, I cannot take part in
maintaining this situation. I know that in the world we live in, we need an army to
protect us from real threats, but I also know that people who fight for a world without
war are needed. Anti-war activities will benefit long-term security for the country and
the world. Resolve conflicts and to take action to end the occupation, whether Jewish, or
Muslim, whether Christian, will benefit all the inhabitants of the earth. " He said.

At recent coordinating meetings of the Anarchist Communist Group, it was decided to bring
out a new theoretical magazine which would also include articles on history and culture,
as well as reviews, etc. This would supplement our programme of producing pamphlets and
our agitational newssheet The Jackdaw.
It was decided to name the magazine Virus in the body politic in memory of the late Colin
Parker, one of the founders of the Anarchist Communist Federation, a precursor of the ACG,
who set up and singlehandedly ran a magazine of the same name which then became the
magazine of the ACF.
Virus should be appearing in the month of October. Stand by for further announcements.

The end of last month saw the 11th Congress of the International of Anarchist Federations,
which co-ordinates social anarchist organisations across 13 different national and
language regions in three continents - we reproduce (via Freedom) reports from the
gathering below. ---- Background to the IFA Congress ---- The following is adapted from an
article which first appeared in Italian anarchist newspaper Umanita Nova. ---- Prior to
the 2019 Congress in Ljubljana, Slovenia the last major gathering of the IFA was in
Frankfurt, Germany, in 2016. That gathering supported the creation of the Central American
and Caribbean Anarchist Federation (FACC), as well as offering solidarity for a renewed
will being shown to coordinate anarchist organisations in Latin America, the revolutionary
process underway in Rojava, the founding of Greece's Anarchist Political Organisation
(APO), and many social mobilisations from French upheavals to the TAV struggle.

Since that congress the IFA has maintained strong relations between the many anarchist
realities that compose it, supporting the struggles and experimentations that member
federations live daily, from Brazil to France. It has promoted campaigns such as that
denouncing the murder of Santiago Maldonado in Argentina and in support of the Mapuche
population's struggle, against the oppressive regime of Maduro in Venezuela and in support
of the anarchist components that are an important part of the ongoing revolutionary
process in Rojava.

The Ljubljana event was an opportunity to move the Frankfurt discussions forward and
examine what has been done since 2016, to support the creation of renewed federative
processes such as those undertaken in Brazil and to give sister organisations like APO the
opportunity to join the IFA. But it was also an opportunity to meet and discuss, to
discuss the socio-economic processes that groups and federations are living on their
territories, working through strategies to deconstruct the neo-liberal imagination that
still pervades the actions of billions of people around the world and crushes and
influences masses of exploited and exploited.

Core topics identified ahead of the gathering as they are seen to affect anarchism today
included:

The international scene of permanent war and the forms that modern totalitarianism is
taking in different parts of the world, starting from the ambiguous concepts of
sovereignism and nationalism now rooted everywhere, to arrive at the economic processes of
global expropriation and exploitation, The fear, insecurity, social fragmentation and
precariousness in modern life that pushes many to blame unsatisfied lives on migrants - a
pretext for the construction of walls and reduction of social rights The worsening of
living conditions for millions of people both in Europe and in Latin America or Africa
The constant reduction of free space and the growing repression that States continue to
exert on anarchists and social movements - but also forms of solidarity between workers
and workers, with migrants, between exploited and exploited that everywhere are being
born, either spontaneously or in an organised way Renewed ecological sensibilities and our
need to free it from the processes of capitalist reproduction and the generation of new
markets such as the green economy, or the myth of sustainable growth, International
experiences of struggle on gender issues, which arise, however, from an individual and
collective awareness, on which to continue to work, to reject the patriarchy and the
relations of domination in social and interpersonal relations, Increasingly conflicting
and spontaneous forms of resistance in the world of work and trade unionism, of the
rejection of militarism and war and of violence as an instrument of coercion and hegemony.
It is an important moment for organised anarchism to strongly reaffirm libertarian and
class internationalism, and commit to cooperation and solidarity between the exploited -
to strengthen struggles and experiences that can break down borders, walls, homelands and
encourage the construction of a free and equal world.

IFA Congress and produced a daily diary of events, which we reproduce an edited
translation of below.

July 24th
This first day was mainly designated for the traditional reception and presentation of the
different participating federations, as well as to presentations by invited guests of the
international. Federations present were:

Anarchist Federation (AFed: Britain)
Anarchist Federation (AfedCZ: Czech Rep & Slovakia)
Federation for Anarchist Organisation (FAO: Slovenia & Croatia)
Anarchist Federation of German Speakers (FDA: Germany & Switzerland)
Anarchist Federation of French Speakers (FA: France, Belgium & Switzerland)
Italian Anarchist Federation (FAIt)
Iberian Anarchist Federation (FAIb: Spain & Portugal )
Argentine Libertarian Federation (FAI)
Belarusian Anarchists (BEL)
Anarchist Political Organisation (APO: Greece)
While guests included:

Free Union of Holland (VB)
Popular Organisation of Rio de Janeiro (OP)
Cubivo de Publicaciones Casa Viva de Portugal.
El Libertario
A Japanese anarchist
In the evening hours, the Argentine comrades offered an excellent video forum (open to the
general public) on gender struggles in Argentina, including the struggle to legalise
abortion and improve women's rights already showing an attendant process of protest and
struggles for the rights of transgender people ... The questions were swift, showing the
great interest and curiosity aroused by gender issues on our side of the world.

July 25th
On the second day of the congress we had the opportunity to attend a debate on Migration
and Borders, a discussion that began with delegates from across the Iberian Anarchist
Federation recounting the general conditions of the migration process in southern Spain
and between countries in Europe. Delegations from the Italian Anarchist Federation also
talked on what is happening under their hard right government, and its positions on this
issue.

Brazil's Comrades were also given the opportunity to present on problems arising with the
far-right Bolsonaro government, where the State is stimulating indifference and sharpening
the repression of internal migratory movements in Brazil. Argentine comrades meanwhile
spoke on how Latin American internal immigration is changing the social landscape and
generating tensions between immigrants (Bolivians, Paraguayans, Venezuelans) and
resources-starved populations in Argentina.

During our own talk, we explained the migratory flight process that is happening in
Venezuela, following our local problems, pointing to how humanitarian geopolitics are also
being modified in neighbouring countries.

During the second part of the day, we were able to participate in a forum debate about the
importance of communication and media to our work. The discussion was compered by FAIt
comrades responsible for the publication of Umanitá Nova (now nearing its centenary),
continuing with the participation of sections of Britain's Anarchist Federation, who
presented strategies to improve communication processes within the IFA. The creation of a
broadcast list was also discussed based on an idea from the FAIb comrades, in order to
expedite the process of publishing materials, both for future publication on paper as well
as online. At this point a fellow from the Sicilian Anarchist Federation joined the
congress, who, among other things, showed us their collaboration with people in Venezuela
and the Caribbean Sea area, as well as the appearance of a new segment in their newspaper
Sicilia Libertarian dedicated to the anarchist movements of the world, beginning in July
with the first section dedicated to Latin America.

In the third part of the day and at night, we were invited together with comrades from
Brazil and the Japanese partner to participate as opening speakers in a public event,
"Populism and Authoritarianism" in the Tabor Square of Ljubljana. At this forum we were
able to expose in more detail how the shameless authoritarianism of the Chavo-Madurist
regime has been consolidated, as well as providing information regarding the violation of
human rights and the increase of executions by groups such as FAES (Venezuelan National
Police), as well as expressing our intentions for combating the current propaganda of
mainstream medias at the service of the left or right authoritarian-Statists.

The participation of the Brazilian comrades focused on highlighting the racist character
of the Bolsonaro regime as well as the presence, in the popular sectors of Brazil, of
militia movements and squadrons of extermination. The intervention of the Japanese comrade
was focused on the authoritarian and nationalist character of the Japanese regime, which
is relying on events such as the next Olympics to exacerbate nationalism in the
population, while implementing ever more sophisticated methods of population control and
supervision through mass surveillance and behavior analysis.

July 26th
Friday was marked by two debates of general interest to our organisations.

One was on modern totalitarianism, moderated by the Slovenian delegation, which gave an
excellent opportunity to discuss this facet in our societies. The second debate was about
the class struggle today, proposed by the Francophone Anarchist Federation. As a third
morning event, there was also a workshop on internet security, proposed by the companions
of the German-speaking Anarchist Federation.

After lunch we participated in the methodology workshop for the creation of strategies led
by the German-speaking Anarchist Federation, where we learned to design a plan to identify
the best way to obtain the desired results depending on the initially proposed objectives.

At the end of the afternoon session, the Argentine comrades presented to a public talk on
their experience at a Free School which they manage (the Escuela Libre de Constitución),
generating an interesting exchange of information with the people present.

To conclude the day of the comrades of the Francophone Anarchist Federation, they began an
interesting debate about ecological struggles, which was followed by the participation of
other compasses as well as the public present in this open section.

July 27th-28th
The penultimate day of the event was intended for general discussions about the future of
the IFA, as well as meetings between the participating federations.

The new secretariat will be left to the comrades of the Italian Anarchist Federation. For
the organisation of the next congress no agreement was reached as to where it will be, and
therefore who would organise it, but the discussion has been started.

The rest of the morning was dedicated to exchanges between the different federations, as
well as interviews. It is worth highlighting the interview conducted by the Belarusian
comrades, where there is a knowledge of the links of the rulers of both countries and with
other dictatorships of similar type. We also spoke for a long time with the comrades of
Umanitá Nova as well as with the rest of the Italian group.

For the afternoon session different communiqués from each of the workshops that were held
were discussed, giving them final form in which they will be published (these will appear
on the IFA website over the next while). One of the most interesting and discussed was on
migration processes, as well as the communications workshop.

The day ended with a public debate about the work of the IFA as well as the practices of
the different federations, offering information to people outside the congress.

To conclude this week of discussions, the music did not wait and our comrades from Brazil
made a public exhibition on the punk movement there, followed by a show where a comrade
from Brazil performed, followed by comrades from Slovenia with their libertarian rap group
"Strategia Tensie"

Sunday 28th was dedicated to internal discussions between federations formally affiliated
to the IFA, in which we can not participate, but we will continue discussions with the
representations of Brazil and Argentina, to publish a statement from South American groups
following an application by the Italian comrades.

We want to leave here our deep gratitude to the French Federation that served as an
intermediary for this invitation; to all comrades of the different federations for their
deep interest in the Venezuelan problem and our position on it. And finally, we thank the
organisers of the event for the impeccable implementation of this congress, on behalf of
our collective, thank you very much for this invitation.

Health and Anarchy!

The CCOO and CGT unions and, unfortunately, some of the CNT are considering opening union
sections for "sex workers". These unions present themselves as defenders of the rights and
freedoms of prostituted women and rise against all dissenting voices. They are progress
who want to give the brothel a respectable bath. They start from the basis that they will
fight for the rights of women who freely choose to sell their sexual freedom in exchange
for money. ---- Eliminated women with addictions, those who have been victims and may have
developed posttraumatic stress, those who have no other way to meet their vital needs and
those of their loved ones, we understand that there will be a small group of women who
freely and having other options At your fingertips, you have decided to engage in the sex
industry. For this group of women, trade unionism should guarantee strict compliance with
safety and health and occupational risk regulations that prevent the exercise of this
"work" entailing risks to their physical integrity.

The same rules would have to be applied to them as to other professions dealing with
biological fluids, such as saliva, blood, sweat, feces or urine. They should then defend
that their affiliates provide their "services" with a mask, goggles, disposable overalls
and gloves.

It would also be possible to ask these trade unionists with which employers they will
negotiate the working conditions of these women and what type of collective bargaining
they will display. Will they support the prostitution of pregnant women? How will they
ensure that a woman prostituted in middle age, when her body, work instrument, is no
longer sued, will not accept to participate in objectively denigrating acts such as being
urinated, a practice that the sex industry offers in her "services" letter, against your
own desire and exclusively out of necessity? How will they regulate sexual harassment?

On the other hand, these same trade unionists, what training and recycling courses are
they going to offer to girls and young people to feed this sector?

It is an industry that affects the body of half humanity and debases the other media,
potential buyer of human lives. Posts to open new union sections for when a beggars union?
When does the seller of corneas and kidneys? If it is a matter of negotiating, not with
the body but with the freedoms and rights, why not a union of vote sellers?

Trade unionism and prostitution system are irreconcilable, if analyzed with the heart and
head, unless there are other parts of the body that carry the helm of decisions.

We remember what anarchist women have historically defended and that we support today, as
yesterday:

"Prostitution houses are still crammed with red and black scarves and all kinds of
anti-fascist badges. It is an incomprehensible moral inconsistency that our militiamen are
in the rearguard that sustain and even extend bourgeois depravity in one of their most
painful forms of slavery, the prostitution of women. It is not explained that spirits
arranged in the trenches to all the sacrifices necessary to overcome in a war to the death
ferment in the cities the humiliating purchase of human flesh of class and condition.

Fighters, it is not you, our own comrades, who hinder such difficult work with the
behavior of young men. Help us make all women feel responsible for their human dignity. Do
not continue to run over those who, as the only means of existence, have to endure your
tyranny of buyers while we strive to find the best means of emancipating our lives.
