But it wasn't just any beaching. This dolphin was dead, and the people who discovered him noticed a brutal stab wound in his head. Experts examined the adult male dolphin's body and determined that whoever had viciously attacked him had done so while he was still alive. Based on the wound, they believe the dolphin was in a "begging" position when someone suddenly used a sharp spear-like object on him. The killer left a monstrous six-inch gash above the animal's eye.
