Despite an impressive mobilization, the Blanquer reform could further degrade the
situation of accompanying persons with disabilities (AESH), those staff who accompany
children with disabilities in their schooling. ---- The SUD union denounces the Minister's
trickery of sending special needs students to regular classes without training teachers,
without providing the necessary human resources to monitor their schooling in classrooms
and without making progress on the subject. status and working conditions of the AESH. We
gathered the feeling of Marie and Manu, both unionized at SOUTH Education 75. ----
Libertarian Alternative: Could you introduce and explain what your job is ?
Marie : I am 30 years old and I am AESH since 2016. During my studies as a nurse, I had a
work accident that paralyzed me for several years. I wanted to work as AESH. I work in a
primary school where I take care of three pupils from 9 to 11 years old who have
difficulties of comprehension and concentration. I assess each morning with the teacher to
assess the progress of the children I am taking care of and the difficulties they face so
that they can offer them appropriate activities.
Manu : I am 30 years old and I am AESH since 2013. I was an education assistant before and
I wanted to work in the National Education. I take care of two students in 6 th and 3 th
Segpa. I help them daily in their schooling and sometimes in their achievement of student
life, but also in their orientation, the preparation of examinations and examinations, the
search for internships.
There is no typical day. It is necessary to constantly adapt to students without mothering
them. The students are also accompanied during the national examinations (brevet des
collèges, BEP, bac ...) to allow them to pass the tests in conditions that promote their
success in the same way as other students.
Why is training insufficient ?
Marie : We have a 60-hour training that starts when we take office. The training is spread
over six to eight months, during which time you are in class and in training. It is not
adapted to the realities that we meet daily. We do not have enough tools.
Manu : This training does not allow us to prepare for the reality of our job: we are told
about the functioning of the school system, childhood, disability, but without getting
into the substance of the subject. In addition, no refresher is done while colleagues
accompany students in terminal or BTS. We had to learn our craft in the field and train
ourselves.
How is your job precarious ?
Marie : Our job is precarious by the salary. We are paid at the annualized Smic hour for a
working time between 20 and 24 hours per week for the majority of us or a salary that
ranges between 600 and 800 euros net without being able to cumulate another job.
We are not paid for the time of preparation, meeting and consultation that we do outside
of the hours of presence. However, we need these times to be able to do our job properly.
National Education uses social misery to exploit another.
Manu : We suffer imposed partial times. There are 1500 AESH in the Paris Academy and only
a hundred are full-time. We are six years on fixed term, see a lot more for the colleagues
who had a unique contract of insertion (CUI) before obtaining a CDI.
Your job is essential. Yet you have no recognition !
Marie : At the beginning of the year we must receive a document explaining the
difficulties of the previous years and the proposed adaptations. It must often be repeated
several times before obtaining it. The needs of the children are reevaluated each year,
sometimes the AESH are not invited to these meetings. We often hear that one or one AESH
can replace another. Disdain is total and we are invisible because of our working
conditions and lack of status.
Manu : There is no recognition of our profession. We are not considered personal National
Education. Moreover, we have not been invited to the national consultation on inclusive
school as we are at the heart of this question.
What are the consequences of the Blanquer reform for AESH and students with disabilities ?
Manu : The minister announced the introduction, in September 2019, of inclusive local
support clusters (PIAL) to organize the presence of AESH staff for students with
disabilities. These PIALs will bring together several schools around secondary schools
(secondary schools or high schools). The idea is to pool the accompaniments: more students
by AESH and necessarily fewer hours for each student.
Our fear is that the management on a pole and the reassessment of the needs by one does
not know too much which entails accompanying modifications throughout the year, incessant
changes of time and place of work for the AESH and a break in long-term support which is
nevertheless a guarantee of success for students' schooling.
The government has announced the end of the single integration contracts without saying so
whether our colleagues will go into fixed-term contracts and if their years of seniority
will be counted.
The Blanquer reform proposes to the AESH to have a dual employer: National Education and
local authorities to support children with disabilities during extracurricular periods. It
is presented as a solution to the imposed part-time, but it is not one and it takes us
away from being a public servant.
What are your main demands ?
Our main demand is the unconditional establishment of diploma, training or nationality of
all and all current AESH, regardless of the type of contract, by the creation of a civil
servant corps. We claim, alongside the AESH collective, a net salary of 1,700 euros for a
full-time at 28 hours, including 24 hours maximum of support for students.
We are asking for a one-year paid training upon entry into the profession. The change of
the name of our profession to that of specialized educational educator, thus enhancing our
skills, and our educational and educational role.
We think that we should not accompany more than two students in one year.

Anarchist Festival, https://anarchistfestival.wordpress.com/ A decentralised event
happening across Britain and Ireland since 2018, has announced its 2020 dates. Here is
what the Afest collective has to say. ---- This is a call out to take part in what will be
the third Anarchist Festival, happening across Britain and Ireland. The idea is simple:
groups or individuals put on their own anarchist events and actions, concentrating on the
dates of Friday 1st to Monday 4th May 2020, and the programme is collated and promoted by
us on our website https://www.anarchistfestival.wordpress.com/ and social media ( 1
https://www.facebook.com/anarchistfestival and 2 https://www.twitter.com/anarchistfest).
---- So far the model has been a success, with a good range of well-attended events at
multiple venues having occurred. The decentralised model means location shouldn’t be a
barrier to putting something on.
The ideal vision for the festival would be to see events, large and small, all across
Britain and Ireland. The more events that take place, the more momentum the festival has,
and in turn the more people might get involved and come into contact with anarchist ideas.
The whole becomes greater than the sum of its parts.
In recent years we have seen anarchist bookfairs pop up in cities and towns across the UK
and it would be particularly good if those groups might organise something as part of the
festival.
But in practice anyone could put something on, whoever they are and wherever they are.
This is a good opportunity to get anarchist thinking and practice happening in the local
community, and outside of the usual anarchist circles. Ideas might include: reading an
anarchist text in a local book group, organising a discussion in a local pub or meeting
space, engaging the local community in a little ‘anarchism in action’, be it a solidarity
action collecting for a food bank, a bit of guerrilla gardening, closing a street off for
a party – whatever you think is best. There’s an archive of events from the last two
years on the Anarchist Festival website, but don’t let what has gone before limit the
possibilities. The potential here is endless, and the definition of what counts as
anarchism can be at its broadest and most inclusive.
A little history: the idea to do this came after feeling the absence of the London
Anarchist Bookfair in 2018 and 2019. We couldn’t readily replicate the incredible
organisational work that goes into putting the bookfair on, but those who wanted to could
at least put on our own small events, and keep the spirit of a communal yearly anarchist
event going.
It is cheering to see that there is an attempt to get an anarchist bookfair in London up
and running again in October 2020, but with the previous success of our decentralised
festival we feel it’s worth keeping this initiative going too. By having our event in May
it leaves a space of about half a year between the two events, allowing plenty of time for
planning and organising.
This year Afest will also fall on the weekend of May Day / International Workers Day. In
the past this has been a bank holiday, but the government has shifted the holiday to
Friday 8th May so as to commemorate the 75th anniversary of VE Day, all of which seems
like a fitting moment to go some way to reclaiming May Day’s anarchist roots.
Do have a look at the website for more info, not least about what to do to submit an event
for the programme. www.anarchistfestival.wordpress.com
Really hope you can get involved!

After five years of arbitrary detention by the Russian regime, including a part in prison
colony, libertarian and anti-fascist trade unionist Alexandr Koltchenko and filmmaker Oleg
Sentsov were released on 7 September 2019 ! ---- They were held in a prisoner exchange
between Russia and Ukraine, along with 9 other Ukrainian political prisoners and the 24
sailors kidnapped during a military operation in the Kerch Strait in the Black Sea, in the
spring of 2019. ---- It's a bitter-tasting victory because it is the result of a sad

The strike movement that has been going through emergencies since last spring is not
weakening and currently concerns half of the reception and emergency services (SAU), ie
240 strikes services. This mobilization, which lasts without running out of steam, panic
the government which had to advance announcements planned for mid-September. ---- To make
it appear that the government is responding to the anger of emergency doctors, Health
Minister Agnès Buzyn has announced a $ 750 million plan, taking care not to explain that
these expenses will be financed by budget cuts elsewhere. It proposes the setting up of a
greater regulation to limit the passages to emergencies. Thus are mentioned direct
admissions in the care services, the video-assistance for the Ehpad, the possibility for
the Samu to direct towards the medicine of city. The nursing role would be extended to
emergencies and the future profession of Advanced Practice Nurse (IPA) will open up to an
" emergency " specialization . Since the beginning of the movement, the ministry presents
the saturation of emergencies as a problem of organization, hence these proposals.
On the contrary, from the beginning, the strikers consider that the conditions under which
they must exercise are linked to the asphyxiation of the public health service by
budgetary austerity. Caregivers underpaid and under-staffed by emergencies face an influx
of patients who are no longer able to access alternative care. If emergency personnel are
on strike, it is to claim better working conditions and better conditions for receiving users.
The Libertarian Communist Union supports the emergency staff and, beyond, the public
hospital on strike !
We support the self-organization of the fight in particular and we salute the general
assembly which met in Saint-Denis (93) Tuesday, September 10 at the initiative of the
collective Inter-Emergency, the federation SOUTH social health and of the Spring of
Psychiatry.
We support the construction of a claim platform common to the entire hospital world: 300
euros for all ! Respect for employees and their privacy ! Stop the closures of beds and
the deletions of posts ! Means for health and social !

The Education Strike called by the Andalusian Federation of Education Unions FASE, CGT
Teaching of Andalusia, is a magnificent opportunity to raise students' awareness about the
catastrophic situation that planet Earth is facing about the coming Climate Change and an
exceptional occasion for the students of the educational centers to be involved in the
development of the school curriculum for life, develop key competences, germinate in their
personality the values of ecology, fraternity among the human beings of the planet and
awareness the animals, plants and ecosystems of the world ---- At the end of 2018 an
unknown, the girl Greta Thunber, occupied spaces of all the great newspapers, radio and
television stations of the planet, from her intervention in the XIV Conference on Climate
Change of the United Nations. As a result of this, a series of mobilizations took place
around the world, against global warming, in the first half of the current year. In the
heat of the same, of its promotion and the encumbramiento of that one to media star by the
great mass media, a "strike" has been summoned for the end of September (in Spain the day
27 and basically directed to the students) "against climate change".
Scientists agree (and nobody escapes except the "deniers") in which the Earth is
undergoing climate change, global warming. It is one of the problems that afflict the
peoples of the world and the planet itself. But, like every problem, it requires an
analysis that establishes a diagnosis and, most importantly, clarify the causes and,
therefore, place the appropriate responsibilities and act accordingly. We cannot give a
real solution based on the consequences and not on the etiology; and not only that, but we
would arrive, as we will see, to pernicious and reactionary conclusions. It is shared by a
good part of the political and social left that this cause lies in the capitalist system,
in the capitalist social formation in which we live.
Climate change, global warming, the various actions of ecological devastation and
degradation of nature have their origin in the predatory nature of the current mode of
production: capitalism. The private ownership of the means of production, the logic of
capital accumulation, the search for the maximum and immediate profit of the capitalists
above any social, economic or ecological consideration and whoever falls, the chaos of
production and private interests, independent, and sometimes found, of those capitalists,
the overproduction crises and the destruction of the productive forces to overcome them,
which entails new aggressions against the natural environment to recompose them, the
imperialist logic and its prey of wealth and resources from third countries,
Only an economy that finally has the satisfaction of people's needs, the defense of their
most vital interests (among others, the safeguarding of the environment), a rational,
harmonious and, therefore, planned economy, can be respectful with The natural heritage
and the planet. In order to place those responsible, it is clear who they are: the great
capitalists, magnates, bankers and landowners, that oligarchy that is a slab on the back
of the working class and the peoples, that parasites them; and the capitalist states at
your service.
We cannot blame the "human being", in the abstract, above good and evil, apart from social
classes. For focusing only on our country, were all human beings responsible? When in
Spain the Spanish planters burned the forests on the slopes of the mountains to obtain
with the ash a fertilizer that only reached them to fertilize a generation of tall coffee
trees yield,[to those]who cared little that the torrential rains of the tropics swept the
topsoil, deprived of tree protection, and left behind only bare rocks! "(F. Engels)? ,
Were we all Spaniards from the Palomares nuclear incident in '66? From the toxic spill in
Aznalcóllar, Who arrived at the Doñana Natural Area? We were all to blame for the
"Prestige" disaster? Do we have the environmental impact of the unnecessary "ghost
highways"?, of the fires caused for the requalification of land and urban speculation?
The answer is obvious. This ideological approach to the problem is promoted by the masters
of the world through their institutions, political spokespersons and the media. What is
derived from it? First, the perfect assimilation by the system of its reformist proposals
and the irresolution of the problem; second, the washing of the face and concealment of
the real leaders: monopolies, transnational corporations, national and international
oligarchies and the capitalist-imperialist system as a whole; third, the underpinning of
said system; fourth, the blame of the "human being", which leads, on the one hand, to an
individualization in solving the problem:
From CGT Teaching Campo de Gibraltar we encourage that both the Primary and Secondary
Education and University teachers support the strike, as well as the students of 3rd and
4th of the ESO, Baccalaureate and university and participate in the concentrations, events
and demonstrations that will be convened for September 27.

To build embankments in state and capitalist barbarism ---- In a crescendo of police and
demonstrations and mobilizing huge armed forces, the new right-wing state administration
recently carried out an invasion and evacuation of four squads occupying mainly refugees
and immigrants in the Exarchia area. Armed police officers led hundreds of immigrants and
underage children to the detention camps in Petros Ralli and then to a concentration camp
(those the state baptizes as hostels) in order to live in isolation from the social fabric
and their dependents. mechanisms of state and institutionally recognized NGOs. ----
Subsequently, the entrances to the buildings were built and set up by permanent armed
guards, further intensifying the climate of terrorism and police terrorism attempted to
impose on the neighborhood of Exarchies. At the same time, the area is full of police
attacks, verbal challenges, use of chemicals against occupied areas and struggling people.
The choice of the state to place the Exarchate neighborhood as the primary repressive
target is not accidental. Exarchia is an area that hosts an alliance of individuals and
collectivities that resist state and capitalist barbarism and find sites of
radicalization, companionship, and solidarity. Areas of struggle and self-organization, as
are occupations, are embedded in catastrophic schemes and at the same time territorialized
by the world of power. A world based on the exploitation and oppression of man by man,
where everything is a commodity and the maximum value is the profits of the bosses.
Occupations, therefore, have been and will continue to be the focus of repression as they
challenge the existing and at the same time represent a world of equality, solidarity,
justice and freedom. The attack aims to intimidate political subjects and to stifle
struggles, while at the same time normalizing bureaucracy in the center of the metropolis
and asymmetric violence by the state.
Suppressive movements do not come as a thunder in the air. The "law and order" doctrine
has been a central opposition line of the ruling party and has been systematically
attempted to present itself as the most important political stalemate to divert from the
fact that both the right and the left (the whole bourgeois political spectrum) agree on
substantive politics line applied in the last decade. In fact, the social majority has
nothing to promise more than labor exploitation, exclusion, destitution and repression.
The treaty of poverty, the intensity of oppression and exploitation, the plundering of
public wealth, the destruction of the environment in the name of "growth" implemented in
previous years, through the Memorandums, it is permanently consolidated, and the two poles
of the restored partition are strung up for the enforcer of the method of enforcement.
With its traditional characteristics of open authoritarianism, violence, racism and police
democracy, right-wing management is addressing its conservative electoral base, where most
fascists are repatriated electively. At the same time, all racists, fascists and sexists
from the ranks of the Bacharasi are closing their eyes, deliberately arming their
murderous instincts.
These attacks are no coincidence that they are targeting the most undervalued and
depressed part of society, refugees and immigrants. From the first moment of taking power,
measures were taken that made clear the choice to continue isolation, illegalization and
repression of immigrants. The management of the "migrant" passed to the Minister of Public
Order. The Minister of Labor, Broutsis, removed the possibility of obtaining AMKA for
asylum seekers and unaccompanied refugees, excluding them from basic health services and
livelihoods. Examination abolished at 2 olevel of asylum applications and it was decided
to step up police controls at the maritime border, upgrade the technical means of
surveillance and strengthen cooperation with FRONTEX and NATO. All state planning aims at
preventing immigration by any means and because this is not possible due to the ongoing
war and economic operations of the rulers, the aim is to isolate, legalize, impoverish and
fully control the lives of refugees and migrants. Concentration camps run by the police
and the army are being built and continue to be built, where thousands of immigrants are
stuck by violence and living in miserable conditions, in containers with three times their
capacity without the necessary medical care. The State,
An obstacle to this design is the occupation of immigrant and immigrant housing and the
self-organized struggle structures located in Exarcheia and in every corner of Greece.
Contrary to what the journalistic parrots present, immigrants living in liberated
buildings live in dignity and freedom. They live in occupations by participating in
collective management processes of space, developing contacts and relationships with the
"local" population, thereby breaking the taboos of xenophobia and racism. Because the
common ground that has been occupied by locals and immigrants in the occupied territories
creates the necessary condition to communicate the needs and to strive together in a
radical direction. For us though,
Common struggles of locals and immigrants against poverty, fascism, war, oppression and
exploitation, for the social revolution, for anarchy and communism.
