Some of the creatures also had to endure agonizingly long, slow deaths, as he used illegal snares and gin traps (sometimes called steel-jaw leghold traps) to torture and ultimately kill them. Even worse, investigators suspect that Wilson's troubling tallies are not even a full account of all the animals he mercilessly executed. When he was caught, Wilson was also found to be in possession of a banned pesticide that is dangerous to animals and humans. He seemed to stop at nothing in his endless blood-soaked quest to take as many creatures' lives as possible. As we know, animal abuse often turns into or accompanies human abuse. This is just another reason that someone this careless about life should not be allowed to roam free among people and animals.
