Dear friends, Canned hunting is the killing of captive-bred animals in a confined area from which they cannot escape. The commercial captive lion breeding industry in South Africa continues to grow. More than 8,000 captive-bred lions are kept in around 250 lion breeding facilities – and they are exploited at every stage of their miserable lives. Born Free's new video The Bitter Bond tells the story of a lion cub born and raised in South Africa.
