Day by day, the tyrants are gone. ---- The day will come when the tyrants will go away
---- Feeling like a piece of paper on the glorious path of the revolution ---- (verse from
Grup Yorum's song "1 Mayis") ---- Hunger strike (since 17/5/2019) members of the band Grup
Yorum ---- Ibrahim Gokcek, Bahar Kurt, Baris Yuksel, Helin Bolek and Ali Araci, detained
members of the revolutionary-folk band Grup Yorum, have been on hunger strike since
17/5/2019. ---- Grup Yorum is a politically militant band from Istanbul, active in the
struggles of the working class and youth. Created in 1985 by 4 students at the University
of Marmara in Istanbul, it has been on the side of those fighting against injustice,
exploitation and oppression ever since. They sing the struggles of the peoples of Turkey
through their anti-capitalist and anti-imperialist lyrics, without ever concealing their
communist political identity.

Grup Yorum's enormous popular appeal and his musical confrontation with capitalism have
upset Turkey's authoritarian regime, which has materially translated into more than 400
arrests and trials by band members. Their concerts have been canceled and their discs
confiscated by police. In fact, since the announcement of the Turkish state's
implementation of an emergency regime on 21/7/2016, the Idil Social Center in Istanbul,
which houses Grup Yorum, has already received eight attacks by police forces, which have
destroyed a significant part of it. of the band's musical equipment and seized several of
his musical compositions.

REPORT THIS AD

In the last two years alone, 11 members of Grup Yorum have been arrested, while 4 of them
have been placed on terrorist lists by the Turkish state. In essence, this means that
these 4 members of the band have been proclaimed and therefore wanted by the Turkish
state's persecuting and repressive authorities. There are now many members of Grup Yorum
who are locked up in prisons in the Turkish state. However, despite the extent of state
repression, their racing mentality does not bend.

Grup Yorum's five hunger strikers demand the immediate release of the band's imprisoned
members, the cessation of police raids on the Idil Community Center and the band's
offices, the abolition of concert bans, the abolition of terrorist lists and revocation of
all criminal prosecutions brought against the members of the Grup Yorum by the Turkish
state. In support of the hunger strikers' struggle, members of Grup Yorum have begun a
hunger strike and several members of communist organizations in many European countries.

Hunger strike (from 3/7/2019) by Mustafa Kocak fighter

Mustafa Kocak was arrested by police in July and charged with life imprisonment for
supplying weapons in the case of the execution of prosecutor Mehmet Selim Kiraz on
31/5/2015, at the Istanbul Courthouse, by DHKP-C rebels who demanded announcement of 4 cop
names directly linked to the murder of 15-year-old Berkin Elvan. Prosecutor Mehmet Selim
Kiraz declined to disclose the names, concealing the state's ineptitude and its repressive
arm. On 31/5/2015 the cops broke the deal with the two DHKP-C guerrillas, Safak Yayla and
Bahtiyar Dogruyol, who were killed in the ensuing armed conflict, while prosecutor Mehmet
Selim Kiraz bowed a little later to the brawl. .

Mustafa Kocak, a militant, has been sentenced to life in prison following alleged
accusations made against him by a nationally known in Turkey rufian and police officer
Berk Ercan.

REPORT THIS AD

Berk Ercan is a cops minion who makes false statements against militant workers and the
popular movement. Despite the fact that many of the false suspects in this room have
collapsed in courtrooms, many fighters have been sent to prison cells for the last 3
years, obliged to serve sentences of up to life in prison after being imprisoned by the
Turkish state. Berk Ercan. False testimonies and slander by empowered rufians demonstrate
the patience of the repressive methods resorted by the Turkish state in this regard, to
overwhelm those who fight against the barbarism and impoverishment imposed by society.

In the meantime, Erdogan has recently stated that he intends to rehabilitate the domestic
judiciary through his forthcoming reform plan. Apart from the cynical paradox of the
Turkish President's statement above, apparently due to the peculiar centralization of the
powers that characterize him, it is a fact that no reform of supposed purification of
justice can reverse its class physiognomy. We know and see with our own eyes that civil
justice works on behalf of bosses, shielding their power and privileges, while attacking
the poor and those struggling for a life worth living, those who they are fighting for the
overthrow of capitalism.

Mustafa Kocak therefore went on a hunger strike on 3/7/2019, demanding a fair trial of his
case. He is now in jail, although he was arrested without any evidence to the detriment.
The guards tortured him for 12 days in prison, forcing him to betray his comrades. But he
did not succumb to the torture he suffered, nor to the blackmail and threats against
members of the immediate family circle. As a movement of solidarity and solidarity in his
struggle, his parents and hunger strikers have begun.

No fighter alone in the hands of state repression

Following a failed coup attempt in July 2016, emergency measures in Turkey have been
stepped up, while Erdogan, after the fraudulent referendum held in April 2017, has gained
- and with the seal now - all powers. in his hands. More than 500,000 people have been
arrested since July 2016, and more than 140,000 civil servants have been fired or made
available through legislative acts because they are accused of being Gulenists or
dissidents in general. At the same time communists and anarchist fighters, members and
members of the pro-Kurdish leftist HDP party, journalists, academics and people in
general, lay in what we could formally define as a "progressive space",

The creation and further strengthening of the bonds of class and transnational solidarity,
coupled with the simultaneous social and class organization and base counterattack, are
what can free us from the tyranny of state and capital. The proletarians of all countries
have nothing to divide between us. We are in the same class camp, despite the dominant
narrative that seeks to legitimize and perpetuate the political freedom and economic
exploitation of the below for the benefit of the state and capital. Together, then, the
oppressed and exploited in any part of the map, we must fight in concert against our
common enemies, the state and the capital that oppress us.

We call on the world of our class, the social base, to support local solidarity
initiatives and actions organized by Turkish political refugees in Greece. To act locally,
thinking internationally.

During the "46th act of" yellow vest "protests in France on September 28, performances all
over the country again took place. In Toulouse and Montpellier, which are considered the
bastions of the movement, fights with the police took place. In the first of these cities,
thousands of demonstrators took to the streets for the banner "Tired of surviving - we
want to live!" ---- During the march, the police repeatedly used tear gas and a water
cannon. Protesters threw capitalist order guards over everything that came to hand,
chanted curses at them. The procession, which began at 2 p.m., peacefully passed from
Wilson Square, along Alsace-Lorraine Street, Escirolu, Saint-Roma Street, to the Capitol.
The demonstration was not permitted by the authorities, mobilizing many gendarmes and
police officers. The situation began to worsen around the central square of the Capitol.
The first volleys of gas were fired at Capitol Square, where a demonstration for the
rights of older people was also taking place at that time; police intervention caused
panic among its members. "Yellow vests" wrote on the walls of the town hall: "Modenk,
knock knock!" (Modenk is the mayor of the city) and "Our desires are riots." Chanting
"Anti-capitalists!" - one of the slogans that have already become a ritual in Toulouse, -
the demonstrators made a stop at McDonald's, where they lit a tent. From there they moved
on, and in an attempt to disperse their police again launched gas and jets from a water
cannon. Representatives of the League for Human Rights, which monitor the actions of the
police, said that one of its activists was injured by police. At least 5 people were detained.

In Montpellier, 4 policemen were injured during demonstrations and clashes, and 9
demonstrators were detained. The "yellow vests" acted very decisively, offensively and, as
the police complained, even "aggressively". They bombarded police with metal poles torn
from the ground, chairs from bars and restaurants. In turn, human rights activists sharply
criticized police violence and abuse.

In Paris, "yellow vests" wedged into the techno parade. They refused to take off their
vests, contrary to the requirements of the organizers. Demonstrators chanted: "Strike,
blockade, Macron's resignation" and "Street belongs to everyone! In Bordeaux, a
demonstration of" yellow vests "took place after a feminist march for the right to
abortion. There were no clashes with the police. Before the demonstration began, the
protesters poured paint into a fountain in the square Stock exchanges painted water
yellow. In Nice, this time selected as the center for interregional demonstration, yellow
vests passed from Place Massena along the central streets of the city. Genevieve Lege, an
elderly woman injured by police during a demonstration on March 23 and who became a symbol
of the struggle in Nice, said: "I will go out to the end, if necessary, until my death."
In Lyon, demonstrators were banned from holding rallies in many parts of the city. Marches
of "yellow vests" were held in other cities of the country.

Actions on the blockade of traffic on the roads do not stop. The "yellow vests" of the
Côte d'Armor department carried out a "snail" operation: 70 cars created a 6-kilometer
traffic jam near Saint-Brieuc, slowing down traffic on the RN12 highway between Rennes and
Brest. The action lasted about an hour. Prior to this, the "yellow vests" of the region
participated in a regional meeting in Forbash, in the Langyo shopping area. In Avignon,
from September 27 to 29, the "yellow vests" held a "civic university", at which activists
exchanged wrestling experiences and plans for the future.

"I am an interim storekeeper in a medium-sized box in the suburbs of Tours. I am 29 years
old, I have no children: in short, I have a lot of free time that I spend in particular to
campaign within the group UCL Tours. I contacted the CGT section of the box, I was told
that without a stable work contract, I would not be interested in exposing myself, because
the bosses' crackdown is boasting. What can I do ?" ---- This little speech and six others
of the same cask, fictitious but reflecting the proletariat in its diversity, served as a
basis for reflections in small groups, during a workshop organized by the Labor Commission
of UCL. It was for each group to think about ways of activism in wage situations where
unionism is not obvious (precariat, self-entrepreneurship, SMEs ...). The form, playful
and interactive, was much appreciated.

It was the same for the training organized by the Anti-Patriarchate Commission on the
different currents of feminism, in the form of a role play allowing about fifty
participants, divided into teams, to become familiar with the different speeches. , before
a critical debate.

The techniques of popular education are increasingly finding their place in the Red and
Black Summer Days, which this year have welcomed a hundred people - a lower number than
last year, which is not the case. surprising just one month after the June AL-CGA joint
congress, where 200 delegates converged.

Like last year, it was the beautiful hamlet of Bécours that hosted this self-managed
event, open to UCL activists and to subscribers and Friends of Alternative Libertaire .
Meeting time, training and conviviality resolutely non-decision-making, these Red and
Black Summer Days are nevertheless an important milestone in the life of the organization.

The program was full. Each day was held in parallel 2 or 3 appointments in the morning, as
well as a plenary session and an AG of self-management of the stay. Training (drafting of
a leaflet, history of the French libertarian movement since May 68, collective action in
demos ...), conferences ("The economic crisis that comes", the situation in Palestine, by
Pierre Stambul), debates ("Libertarian municipalism, a possible strategy in the affected
territories ?", A review and outlook of the website Reportsdeforce.fr, a brainstorm around
the logo proposals for UCL), workshops ("For a good use militant social networks »,
Operation of the monthly AL...), book presentations in the presence of the authors (Laelia
Véron, Marc Faysse, Benoît Bohy-Bunel). In plenary session were discussed, among others,
the movement of yellow vests, political issues of the return (pensions, unemployment
insurance, privatization of ADP, universal national service ...) and "risk of collapse and
revolutionary project." A "special anti-patriarchy" day was set at the beginning of the
week, and a festive evening the day before the half-day off. See you next year, for the
red and black summer days 2020 !

In the United States, anti-fascism and anti-fascists have built respect in the streets and
in football stadiums. ---- The success of emancipatory movements in the United States,
such as Occupy Wall Street or the Black Lives Matter campaign, as well as the social
disruption caused by neoliberal dogmas, triggered a hysterical reaction by the archaic
branch of the conservative right, often referred to as paleoconservatism. At the same
time, the virtual ultra-right Alt-Right movement in his womb at the same time, which is
today a kind of attractive, almost hipster alternative to the old-fashioned barracks
concept of white superiority, is today a neo-fascist and neo-Nazi movement. ---- The
invasion of multicultural coexistence, the emancipation of women, the struggle for their
rights, and the efforts to save the planet have become the norm thanks to the tramping of
liberals and bourgeois democrats, the mass media hungry for any sensation, and especially
the messiah on top post, Donald Trump. Threats soon turned into action, and in the
Alt-Right environment, neo-Nazi terrorists began to gain confidence. Between May 23, 2014
and January 2, 2018, the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) reports thirteen
ultra-rightist attacks, resulting in 43 dead and 67 wounded.

Where the state fails, or where the state wants to fail, ordinary people have to cope with
themselves, start defending themselves and stealing the space that ultra-rightists have
given institutions. The clashes between ultra-rightists and anti-fascists have attracted
the attention of the mass media, and have sparked heated debates behind a large puddle.
Andrew Anglin wrote on the Daily Stormer neo-Nazi site: "Large rallies in public places
where we know there will be a confrontation with the antipa are not a good idea."
bison-sized wrestlers, spotty incels, southern bikers, or wrinkled paleoconservatives.

Liberals and non-liberals in positions now note. Both camps are the same. "Extremism" is a
problem. The media simulate a civil war and hard-clad men try to pacify the leftist mob.
But ultra-right killers, violent rioters, and hypocritical politicians, however, will not
discourage the masses of ordinary people who are mobilizing to breathe new life into the
streets. They convene meetings, form coalitions, people and groups work together to get
rid of racist annoyers. The predominance of anti-fascist attitudes in football stadiums
became so pronounced that the football association came out with a ban on political
symbols in the summer. However, after numerous protests and discussions with fan clubs,
the three-arrow symbol, taken from the German pre-war militant sidecar Eiserne Front,
which became very popular on American tribunes, was exempted from the ban.

Despite the mundane reality of trampling on the achievements of emancipatory movements and
normalizing racial violence, anti-fascists and anti-fascists in the United States have
been successful in building the movement in the streets and have been able to drive the
fascists and ultra-conserves back to the junkyard of history. Successful anti-fascist
mobilisations have been able to prevent further violence and murder by Alt-Right
supporters at a time when the state and police are actively clearing space for the
fascists. The bourgeois-democratic institutions are failing again grossly, being inactive
against the growing threat of fascism, and on the contrary becoming the last safe place
for Alt-Right supporters to hide.

The past year in the United States has shown that a growing anti-fascist movement is not
only ethically superior, it becomes a mass movement and the only force able to confront
neo-fascist killers!

On September 29, in Moscow on Academician Sakharov Avenue, a general opposition rally for
the freedom of political prisoners was held, which was attended by more than 20 thousand
people. The participants and participants in the rally demanded that criminal cases be
stopped both against the remaining defendants in the "Moscow case" and against all people
persecuted in Russia for political reasons. ---- Moscow anarchists and anarchists joined
the event with the banner "Freedom for Political Prisoners-Anarchists", on which were
written the names of the detainees in the Seti's torture case, Ilya Romanov, Kirill
Kuzminkin, Azat Miftakhov, as well as under Ekaterina Muranova's recognizance not to
leave. ---- During the rally, the last, 38th issue of Avtonom magazine was sold .

Among the speakers at the rally were former defendants in the "Moscow affair" released
from public pressure, including libertarian socialist Vladislav Barabanov.

Photos of the anarchoblock

The text of the leaflet handed out by the participants and participants of the anarchoblock:

We, anarchists and libertarian socialists, join the demand to stop criminal and
administrative cases against protesters and release political prisoners!

We believe that the very existence of such a concept as a "political prisoner" most
clearly reflects the imperfection and injustice of the system in which our society is now
wrapped: in it even the most progressive authorities strive to maintain their position,
eventually coming to conservatism and repression. Being supporters of not representative,
but direct democracy, we believe that important decisions regarding social organization
should be made directly by citizens at the grassroots level (at general off-line or online
meetings), where everyone has an equal right to vote. To solve more global issues,
historical practice has developed a form of advice in which representatives of grassroots
collectives participate, limited by an imperative mandate,

Already, there are many grassroots initiatives and protest movements (not necessarily
declaring anarchism) that make important decisions at general meetings. With enough
effort, this principle can be extended to all spheres of public life, making centralized
authoritarian structures unnecessary, including the state, which outrages us with police
and power arbitrariness towards participants in mass protests.
