The death penalty for being gay?

Dear friends,
Earlier this year, Brunei introduced a law that calls for death by stoning for gay sex. In 7 other countries being LGBT+ can be legally punishable by death, too.
The very thought that someone could be persecuted and killed by their own government just for who they are or who they love is sickening and horrifying.
That's why we're calling the world to action on today's World Day Against the Death Penalty:
We teamed up with London-based artist Chanto Silva and created a powerful sculpture commemorating the victims of this brutal and pointless punishment.
A team of All Out members brought the sculpture to the Embassy of Brunei and other public places in London earlier this week. Here's a video of what they did:
The image shows the sculpture surrounded by rocks on the sidewalk.
And we're not stopping there.
More than 58,000 All Out members have already signed our petition against the death penalty in Brunei.
Thanks in part to this pressure, the Sultan of Brunei announced the country would not carry out executions by stoning for people convicted of adultery and gay sex.
But the laws remain officially in place and the moratorium on executions could be lifted at any time.
We must continue to keep up the pressure until the law is fully revoked.
Thanks for going All Out,
Matt
