The situation on our planet has never been so alarming. 60% of vertebrate species reduced
since 1970, 13 million hectares deforested in the last 10 years, 30% of thaw only during
the twentieth century and an increase in the average temperature of the planet since 2015
of 1º C (and will continue to rise 0 '2º C per year). In 2018, carbon dioxide emissions,
far from being reduced, grew 2.7%. Meanwhile, 92% of the world's population breathes
unhealthy air, responsible for 8.8 million deaths worldwide (10,000 in Spain). Heat waves
aggravate the diseases of the weakest by increasing mortality, to the point that that of
2003 caused 70,000 deaths throughout Europe (6,000 in Spain). All these data are an
incontestable reality,

The dilemma, which has been raised with notable media success, between rebellion and
extinction is well posed. Another different thing is the way to face it. We will not avoid
the "extinction" conserved this economic and social model. Nor "humanizing" the free
market talking about making the system of production and consumption "sustainable", when
it is necessary to break with the culture of growth and "development" and put an end to
the economic structure that imposes it: capitalism. Nor is "rebellion" possible from the
hierarchical institutions and the polls. Not from legislative decrees that try to make the
planetary deterioration "acceptable" and "regulate" the deadlines to reach the
environmental collapse. Nor from municipalities that declare themselves incompetent or
from states that serve as a fortress to the interests of the economic structure,

The ecological crisis, which threatens to destroy life on the planet in a relatively short
historical period, is based on a suicidal productive economic model and a vertical and
delegational political management. A model that needs to stimulate a disproportionate and
unsustainable consumerism and a political management that regulates it. There are no
effective formulas within capitalism, no matter how much its "tamers" create it
domesticable. There are no resolving solutions within the State, no matter how much their
new visible faces drink craft beer and go to the assemblies of some CSOA. Our way of life
can only continue for a few more years, at the cost of increasing the predation of the
populations and resources of the "poor countries" and the peripheries of the "central
countries."

It is necessary to weave an environmentalist, anticapitalist and antistatist discourse,
which faces the situation that lies ahead and not be distracted by false hopes. That
breaks the hegemony in the story of those who promise us an "agreed ecological exit"
between multinationals and governments, hiding causes and culprits of the crisis. And that
it can only hinder any progress, if not, directly, disarticulate the basic ecological
struggle for the next decades. It is essential to articulate our different local sector
struggles with the ability to establish massive resistance strategies that allow us to
give a collective response to a problem of global scale.

The existential threat of the planet itself and millions of lives, requires not to
disregard any kind of struggle, provided they come from horizontal structures, from bottom
to top. And to question those that will offer us compulsively through the great means of
disinformation the same that have generated the problem. The dilemma is: save capitalism,
or the planet and living beings.

For all this we call on alternative unions, collectives, platforms, spaces,
counterinformative media and interested individuals, so that they give support and
collaboration to an independent initiative that, combining different sensitivities, we are
carrying out - from alternative thinking and militancy - to assemble an anti-capitalist
and anti-government response that lives up to the circumstances.

On Thursday, October 17, 2019, at 7:00 p.m., the presentation of an event will take place
in Madrid, at the Anselmo Lorenzo Libertarian Studies Foundation (c / Peñuelas, nº 41,
metro Ambassadors). In it we will try to lay the foundations that allow us to develop this
collective response.

We will have the assistance of several companions and groups specialized in developing
theories and practices that promote the fight against the myths of development and growth,
the defense of the territory and revolutionary environmentalism.

Speakers: Carlos Taibo, Barbaria Collective, Cul de Sac Collective, Miquel Amorós and
Pedro Prieto.

After the attacks against the Sinagogue of Pittsburgh (USA) at the end of October 2018 and
against two mosques in Christchurch (New Zealand) last March, a new anti-Semitic attack
caused two deaths in Halle in the East of Germany this wednesday 9th of october. ----
First and foremost, the Libertarian Communist Union expresses its solidarity with the
victims and families of the victims of these attacks. The assassins have all claimed the
most violent extreme right by spreading their hatred of Jews or Muslims over the networks
and openly calling for their extermination. Some cite Renaud Camus' theory of the great
replacement to justify their killings, clearly demonstrating the call to murder that
French neo-fascist ideologues disseminate in their speeches and in their thought.

There is no doubt about the anti-Semitic and Islamophobic nature of these shootings, any
more than the responsibility of the far-right who exploits xenophobia for political ends.

All over the world neo-fascist groups are gaining confidence and acting out. These deaths
are not the result of "lone wolves" or "unbalanced" but result from a strategy of terror
against racialized or perceived people.

How many deaths before considering the real threat posed by the coming to power of
far-right parties and the legitimization of racist and fascist ideas that violent and
armed groups put into action ? We have nothing to expect from the ruling bourgeoisie or
its democratic institutions, the fight against the extreme right is and will remain a
grassroots fight against racism and xenophobia, against anti-Semitism and Islamophobia,
against patriarchy and gender-based violence and LGBTIphobes !

Solidarity with the victims and families of the victims of these racist crimes ! Let's
build collectively an anti-fascism solidarity and internationalist to end with the
mortifying ideology of the far right and its allies !

After 11 days of violent protests in Ecuador, the neoliberal package of measures dictated
by the IMF has been canceled. But now, representatives of the opposition and public
organizations, together with the government, will decide how people tighten their belts
for the sake of economic "recovery". AND ALL THE SAME: THE MAIN CONCLUSION OF THE
ECUADORIAN RILE IN THAT BY AN UNIVERSAL STRIKING AND DISISMISSION A NEOLIBERAL OFFICE CAN
BE STOPPED. LESSON TO ALL THOSE WHO ARE ALWAYS ABLE TO LISTEN AND ARE ABLE TO ACT! ----
The day before, on Saturday and during the day on Sunday in Quito, protests did not stop.
The general strike continued, roads were blocked, public transport did not work, oil
production in the Amazon was stopped, copper production was suspended ... On the night of
Saturday to Sunday, despite curfew, "pan marches" were organized in various Quito blocks.
According to Ecuadorian anarchists who actively participated in past protests, groups of
people took to the streets: first 5, then 10, 50 and, finally, hundreds of residents,
without any political parties or leaders. They called for the removal of all politicians:
"Que se vayan todos" - "Let them all get out," chanted the demonstrators. The anarchists
expressed indignation at the fact that the Konaye leaders, like the authorities, blamed
the participants in the clashes.

Anarcho-syndicalist flag on the streets of Quito during protests

On Sunday morning, the city bore the traces of fierce street battles: burnt buildings,
stone barricades, broken windows and shop windows, burning tires on the highway. Before
that, battles were fought all day in the capital: rebels and police exchanged shots from
improvised devices, grenades with gas and rubber bullets.

Sunday afternoon clashes continued. A group of youth began to rebuild the barricades from
what remained of the battles the day before. The police rushed to disperse the protesters.
Despite the softening of curfews in the daytime, the guards of the capitalist order were
ready at any moment to fall upon the participants in the demonstrations. Hundreds of
police special forces ousted demonstrators who arrived there on Friday from the Arbolito
Park on neighboring streets. By Sunday evening, the air was white with smoke from burning
tires and tear gas after 24 hours of violent clashes between police and demonstrators
armed with pointed sticks and home-made shields made of cut metal barrels, satellite
dishes and plywood. Medical volunteers from fire brigades or medical schools waved white
sheets, leading protesters to safe places. Young people - mestizos and Indians - roamed
the streets in front of policemen and soldiers ...

On Sunday afternoon, the demonstrations in Quito resumed. People took to the streets in
anticipation of negotiations between the protesters and the authorities, which were
organized through the mediation of the UN and the Catholic Church.

According to the Ombudsman, at least 7 people died during the protests, 1340 were injured,
1152 were arrested. However, unofficial sources say much more frightening figures of
repression: on Friday - 27 killed, 860 seriously injured and 1,430 slightly injured, 120
disappeared (of which 62 are minors), more than 1,800 arrested, 150 tortured ...

The leaders of the KONAIE Association of Indian Organizations, which led protests
throughout the past week, agreed to negotiations with the government after Lenin Moreno
promised to "revise" the decree on the abolition of subsidies. True, they stated that
neither they nor the masses of Indians who came to the capital would leave Quito until an
agreement was reached that the decree would be taken back. But the representative of the
FUT United Front of Workers union, Messias Tatamuez, drew attention to the fact that the
president did not give a clear promise to cancel the decree. He demanded that all sectors
of society participate in the negotiations. However, one of the leaders of CONAIE Salvador
Quispe, a former prefect of the country's southern provinces and the leader of the
Pachacutic party, explained in an interview with France Press, that if in the course of
negotiations it is not possible to achieve a decree repeal of the decree, then its side
will insist on an "equilibrium solution", including a possible increase in fuel and fuel
prices, but on a smaller scale. CONAIE asked the army, the conference of bishops, the UN
and other institutions to guarantee security during the negotiations.

Negotiations between the leaders of the protesting Indians and the government began on
Sunday evening. In accordance with the demand of the Indian side, they were public:
broadcast on national radio and television. The leader of KONAYE, Jaime Vargas, in an
Indian headdress, demanded the abolition of the decree on the abolition of subsidies.
"This is not a demand of the Indian peoples; it is a demand of the country," he said. "We
did not come to form negotiation commissions."

At around 10 p.m. an agreement had already been announced, and observers called it
"unexpected." CONAIE refused the demands for the resignation of those responsible for the
repression of the ministers of internal affairs and defense. The president pledged to
repeal the decree on the abolition of subsidies, and the Indian leaders urged their
supporters to stop protests, leave the capital and lift the blockade of roads. A joint
commission will be formed, which will determine how to reduce costs, increase revenues,
reduce budget deficits and public debt. Obviously, the authorities are trying to involve
protest leaders in the development of new austerity measures in order to share
responsibility for antisocial policies with them. The requirements regarding the
resignation of ministers responsible for the repressions and the increase in the tax on
the rich were no longer mentioned ...

Jaime Vargas thanked President Moreno, to whom the Indians had recently reacted with
hatred. He demanded an improvement in the living conditions of the Indians. "We want peace
for our brothers and sisters in this country," he said. "We no longer want reprisals."
"With all our hearts, we declare that we, peoples and nationalities, have risen in search
of freedom. We are grateful for the courage of the risen men and women." The president, in
turn, said that he deeply respects the Indians and called them "comrades."

The protesters, however, perceived the abolition of the decree as a victory. "We did it!"
- Jubilant demonstrators armed with spears and shields in the park, which became the
epicenter of protests. Car caravans filled the streets of Quito on the morning of October
14, joyfully welcoming the agreement ...

The social protest of the last week in Ecuador proved that the neoliberal offensive can be
stopped by the decisive resistance of the working people. It is a pity only if the fruits
of this resistance are again sold by politicians and "leaders" from all sorts of
hierarchical "left" opposition ...

The situation of the project of democratic confederalism is desperate, both because of the
attack by the Turkish army and its supported Islamist militias, and because of the
circumstances of a forced suicide alliance with the Syrian dictator Assad. That is why we
feel obliged to show our solidarity with the local people, condemn the occupational
aggression associated with ethnic cleansing and currently press the political and economic
elite who are deaf, supportive or financially benefiting from this happening. Everyone can
get involved in different ways. ---- Bratislava ---- In Bratislava, on October 14, the
Turkish embassy was symbolically locked by a chain to protest against Turkish war
aggression in northern Syria. Whoever wanted to come to the embassy could unlock the lock
with keys thrown on the ground. But there was a sign saying 'I support Turkish fascism'.
At the announcement that he was in front of the Turkish embassy building, a copy of
Picasso's painting Guernica, which is an artistic indictment of war and oppression, was
also placed.

Hradec Králové

On Saturday, October 12 in Hradec Kralove, anarchists from the local branch of the
Anarchist Federation (AF) expressed their resistance to Turkish aggression in the region
of northern Syria, known as the Autonomous Region of Rojava. Anarchists to support people
Rojava hung a banner on the bridge "Solidarity with Rojava", put up wall paper A3 , google
Turkish attack, and a streetart called for solidarity with the inhabitants of the invaded
Autonomous Region. "The people of Rojava have deployed their lives in front of the Islamic
Caliphate. Tough resistance has claimed tens of thousands of victims over the years, most
of them in the fight against ISIS in Syria. Now, abandoned by all so-called Allies, they
face a Turkish invasion that will bring nothing but ethnic cleansing, the liquidation of
the autonomous administration of northern and eastern Syria, and the liberation of ISIS
jihadis by a friendly Turkish army, "explained anarchist spokeswoman Viktorie Svobodova.
Anarchists call for further actions and expressions of resistance and solidarity.
According to their spokesperson, "Rojava is a hope not only for the Middle East, for
women's freedom, but also for the possibility of another world. No one should forget that
ISIS was defeated through a multicultural,

Prague

A demonstration took place in Prague on Wednesday 9th October (report HERE ). On Saturday,
October 12, anarchists joined the demonstration of dozens of people taking place on
Wenceslas Square with the participation of Kurds and Kurdek living here. On Monday October
14, members of AF-Praha group posted a banner on the bridge over Konevova Street in Zizkov
with the text: "Stop the Turkish invasion!" Another Prague public performance against
Turkish aggression is scheduled for Wednesday , October 16 .

Brno

A group of activists in support of Rojava autonomy met in Brno on Wednesday 9 October in
front of the Turkish consulate (report HERE ). Later, a banner appeared on one of the
bridges in Brno saying "Babiš and Erdogan are killing the Kurds". On Wednesday, October
16, there will also be a demonstration in Brno organized by NESEHNUTÍ and Solidarity with
Rojava Brno. Among other things, the invitation to the event states: "The Czech Republic
is also responsible for the aggression committed by a NATO member state. This military
action was supported in September by Czech Prime Minister A. Babiš, who later on a
business trip in Turkey promised to help with armaments: specifically, the delivery of 476
trucks for the Turkish army. Czech companies also want to engage in tenders for the supply
of radar and specific information systems for various types of combat vehicles. "

Time for our 4th and final session of the year. When we set up the reading group, we
didn't have high expectations, especially in Darlington, but the sessions have been great
fun, bringing together socialists from all positions for fruitful and interesting
discussions. ---- Our fourth session will be the second of our two-parter on
environmentalism. In our first session, we read and discussed some classic anarchist and
communist texts relating the environment, nature and ecology. In this session, we'll look
to read 2 contemporary texts from revolutionary organisations, Anarchist Federation and
Internationalist Commune of Rojava. ---- Originally, we weren't going to include the text
from the Internationalist Commune of Rojava, so it isn't mandatory, but with the recent
Turkish invasion of Rojava, we think it is an important and opportune time to look at the
revolutionary socio-ecological project there and analyse the positives and the negatives
of the movement.

As above, we are going to roll with just one ‘mandatory' text for this session but we
recommend reading the additional texts too.

*Mandatory*

As its coming to the end of the year and Christmas, we want to celebrate too! So if you've
already been to a session or two, or are brand new, please come along and help us build
connections and solidarity across the libertarian and communist left in the North East.
---
Study for Struggle is the North East Anarchist Group's reading group, where we get
together and discuss texts relating to radical politics and the emancipatory struggle for
freedom.

We hope to see some of you there and if you decide to participate further, you can help
shape the content of future reading group sessions! So please get involved!

None of us are experts! So come along and join the discussion!

At the highest summit of the state, Islamophobia is now completely assumed. Muslim people
or considered as such are in danger. The urgency is for a strong response. UCL calls on
all those who want to fight for equality to react together. ---- A minister calling to
report "  little boys who refuse to hold the hand of girls  ." The same, Jean-Michel
Blanquer, denouncing a few weeks ago the CIPF, association of parents who had dared to
publish a poster defending the right to accompany school trips for all and representing a
mother of a student wearing a veil . ---- A President of the Republic calling for a "
society of vigilance  " to hunt down the "  weak signals  " of "  radicalization  ",
targeting all Muslim people or considered as such and already raising disturbing reports ,
as at the University of Cergy.

The signal is clear: it is a true license to discriminate that is issued !
Of course Le Pen's National Rally is not left out: we saw it at the Regional Council of
Burgundy where the elected RNs verbally assaulted and threatened a veiled woman in full
assembly.

But it must be said very clearly, Islamophobia is not the reserved domain of the extreme
right: it is now widely relayed by "  public authorities  ", by media and agitators of
hate, all over the political spectrum institutional. The government wants to point out a
so-called " inner enemy ", in the midst of social mobilization elsewhere.

It is thus the craftsman of a true "  identity panic  " that will strike the people
designated as Muslim with what it involves daily stigmatization, insults, humiliation,
aggression against them.

There can be no equality under conditions or conditions.

UCL brings its solidarity to the victims of Islamophobia and considers it necessary to
react strongly and widely: from day to day the Islamophobic offensive is growing, it is
urgent to stop and break this racist mechanism !

UCL wishes and is available for a unitary initiative in the sense that could be found all
political organizations, trade unions, associations decided to fight for equality.

Prague demonstration in support of the autonomous region of Rojava, attacked by the
Turkish army and its supported mercenaries ---- Since the launch of the latest occupation
attack by the army of the Turkish autocrat Erdogan, protest events have been taking place
all over the world, as has been the case in the Czech Republic. The biggest public
performance so far in support of Rojava autonomy took place on Wednesday, October 16, in
several cities. In Prague alone, about 600 people gathered for a demonstration organized
by the Committee for the Defense of the Revolution in Rojava, which also involves
anarchists and anarchists from the AF. ---- The event was convened at six o'clock in the
evening. At that time there were hundreds of people in Klarov, so the first speeches could
be started after about twenty minutes. She was the first to make a statement from the
Committee representative. She briefly summarized what was happening in Rojava and noted
that Erdogan was trying to strengthen his position at home. She mentioned that after the
treason by the West, the Kurds were left with nothing but an unfortunate alliance with the
Syrian dictator Assad, spoke of a humanitarian disaster, an alliance between the Czech
Republic and Turkey within NATO, and called for a no-fly zone and economic sanctions
against Turkey. Then Martin Rozumek from the Organization for Aid to Refugees picked up
the microphone. He expressed his disappointment with Czech politicians and the EU as a
whole. He recalled the assistance of his organization to Kurdish refugees persecuted in
Turkey, Syria and Iraq, and warned that Assad was another danger to the Kurds. After
chanting "Long live international solidarity", which spanned the whole demonstration,
Matej Žaloudek spoke from the Green Party. He said that the Kurdish flag had been
displayed in Prague 3, where he was the representative. He stated that NATO could not
respond to its own member's aggression, and wondered why the Czech Republic was even
exporting arms to a country that oppressed its own people, and Turkey was not the only one.

Chanting "Erdogan - terrorist" after half past seven, the crowd set out for the march
accompanied by colored smoke bombs. The parade saw Kurdish flags, including the arrest of
the Rojava militia, as well as anti-fascist and anarchist flags. With banners "Solidarity
with Rojava", "Stop Turkish aggression!", "Stop turkish terrorism in Rojava", "Vacation?
Certainly not in Turkey! "Was the constant chanting of the Lesser Town Square.

There was another series of speeches after several Kurdish songs around seven o'clock. A
representative of the Pirates emphasized the merits of the Kurdish militia and mentioned
the shameful behavior of the Czech government and treason of the United States. She
reported that the House condemned the Turkish aggression and presented the next steps of
the Pirates in the European Parliament. Finally, she invited the attendees to another
Prague demonstration, which will take place on Monday 21 October. Then a letter was read
from the Jinwar women's village, beginning with a greeting to people who had visited the
village in the past and continuing with a list of what had been built within a short time.
All of this, however, is threatened by the Turkish attack, and there are concerns about
the slave future of women, just as it happened after the Turkish occupation of Africa
earlier this year. Jinwar has become a refuge for many women, and within Rojava, women
organize in all cities and spheres. This experience can be an example to all women of the
world. "Let's stand together for a free life," the conclusion was applauded.

At quarter past eight, the crowd moved again. During the journey, chants were chanted
without a break, both in Kurdish slogans in support of Rojava and her militias, against a
terrorist at the head of Turkey, and anti-fascist and anti-capitalist cries. There were
some pyrotechnic effects near the Castle, and continued across Hradcanské Square to
Loreto, where the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is located. Here was the final stop. After
many minutes of chanting, Rashid Khalil, Kudr, has lived here for 31 years. He recalled
the various Turkish interventions and their effects and the fact that the Kurds became
enemies of Islamists around the world. He said that the Kurds did not want to be
second-class citizens and that they would not bow their heads: "We will continue with and
without help. "After another wave of chanting, the former Minister of Foreign Affairs
followed by Jan Kavan, the chairman of the UN General Assembly. He thanked those present
for their protest, condemned Trump's stance and called for the Turkish involvement in
Rojava to be spelled out in terms of aggression, invasion and violation of international
law. He called for sanctions, a break in diplomatic relations and the total isolation of
Turkey. He described the functioning of self-government in northern Syria as worthy of
following for many others. He ended his improvised speech with the exclamation: "Long live
international solidarity!" The last word then belonged to a Czech volunteer who sent an
audio message from Rojava. He appealed to the need to "show people here that we had not
turned our backs on them", describing that as many as 300,000 people had to leave their
homes and that the people in Rojava were determined to fight to the end. He thanked those

Another wave of chanting, accompanied by smoke in Kurdish colors, ended the event at about
quarter to nine. However, this does not end our support of the Rojava self-government.
Anyone can participate, at least for example by putting up the current issue of the A3
wall paper .
