As anti-government action in the Caribbean country of Haiti enters its 5th week, President
Jovenel Moise said he will not resign. ---- In many cities, especially the capital
Port-au-Prince, there have been protests and transport and transportation services have
stopped at many points and schools have been closed due to strikes. Thousands of people
participated in the protests from time to time in clashes between the police and
activists. ---- The activists react to the country's rising inflation, corruption, the
shortage of basic supplies such as foodstuffs and the shortage of fuel that shuts down
many gas stations in the capital. They are also demanding a more in-depth investigation
into allegations of corruption in revenues from the Venezuelan-backed oil aid program by
senior officials in the previous government.

There are people who are dreaming of monsters: ---- During the 11 days of the National
Strike, an imaginary of a strike financed by correismo (from Correa, the former President
of Republic of Ecuador, who is currently hidden in Beligium in order to escpe the trial
for corruption ...) was built, and then after they said it was Maduro pulling the strings.
... it seemed that the media had a clear script, in order to keep Lenin Moreno as
President and build the necessary elements to convince the people that an attempted coup
d'etat was going on.. ---- But what is the reply to the question "who financed the
indigenous movement for eleven days?" ---- It is she. Yes, she: Doña Carmita, the
seamstress of the ascent to La Gasca, she financed the indigenous movement. Without
networks, without formal political preparation, she gathered the family to prepare
sandwiches, because she knows that her brothers in Cotopaxi are at the occupation
headquarters and they should be hungry. They must also be cold, that's why she brought the
warmest blanket she gets/ And also the son's strong shoes, those with a sturdy floor so
they can walk. And a little cut-off cloth to put bicarbonate water on it so that the tear
gas can not hurt them.
Other had financed too: the families of Guayllabamba that gathered the communities to
gather the best avocados, because the food is richer if you put avocado on the locro
(andes's corn stew), but also quintals of pickles for a salad, and of onion for the soup
of fideo, and also water agüita. So they are not thirsty.
And the students of Tena who picked up medicines, because there is a lack of paracetamol
and band-aid ... then they came with a pick-up truck with bandages, cotton, tape.
The neighborhood of Toctiuco, La Comuna, Las Casas also had financed the movement. From
there, families went down to cook, so they never lack rice and hot caldito, they came with
their cutting board and the sharpest knife to prepare the best mince-meat.
That is the monster that Moreno dreams of, a town that rose to sustain the National
General Strike. That monster is the neighbor who took the broom to sweep, that monster is
the hairdresser, the mason, the seamstress, the baker's association that did not stop
making bread, hundreds of boxes of breads of all kinds, injertos (graft bread), mestizos
(mixed bread), manitas (small hands bread), empanadas ...
That monster is awake Mr. Moreno and is in your nightmare. "

The long days of performances showed us that mutual assistance exists and that libertarian
utopia is still alive. For several days, El Arbolito Park and its surroundings turned into
a place where people protected, fed each other, cared for each other, treated each other
and helped each other. Food, medicine, and clothing were transported continuously, and on
the barricades, the People's Guard repulsed police attacks and removed any tear gas bombs
that could pose a threat to brothers and sisters inside the park. ---- And at the same
time, there were hands to prepare food from the products that they brought, there was
never a lack of food, bread; at every step, someone offered you water, juice, fruit, or a
basket of food, welcoming you and inspiring you to continue the struggle.
One could see long chains of people passing stones for building and strengthening
barricades. And on the cry of "Doctor!" the team hurried to help comrades wounded in the
fight.
So each and every one of us helped and contributed to the battlefield, in a chain, in
building a roof over our heads, in the kitchen, in the medical team and in every other
place, which made this performance possible.
We live in a class struggle and were able to realize that there are parasites that pursue
their own interest and are easily ready to kill or use all the power at their disposal
(the police and the army) to preserve and protect their privileges. And we also realized
that we do not need them, we realized that they are our enemies.
We also learned that no one, absolutely no one can trust the police, and that, just as the
bourgeoisie are our enemies and can never be a people, just like those who wear uniforms
and fight on the side Tirana.
But, first of all, we realized that a popular speech gives results, that organization and
effort can change things, and that those who are at the top are afraid of us - they are
afraid because they know what we are capable of. And now they will be even more afraid of
us, because we also know this.
We remain alert and critical, as this is just a small demonstration of what we have yet to
achieve.
Thanks to all the comrades who fought in their trenches with conviction and not knowing
fatigue, not having time to either sit down or sleep. We can rest and sleep tonight with a
clear conscience, but tomorrow the struggle will continue. And we know that we will come
to her with the conviction and courage that we showed in this battle.
Nothing is finished, it is only just beginning.

+++
In just a few words
People are killed, injured, arrested.
The masses spontaneously rush to the fight, to the streets.
Every day the intensity of protests grew.
Pigs and soldier brutally crushed the people. We are being killed and injured. We clearly
confirm that they are not a people, they, together with the masters, are against the people.
The cowardly government fled to Guayaquil because Quito reached such a state of street
fighting that it could no longer hold the government in this city.
The local bourgeoisie wanted immediate surrender, the stones of the center were important
for it, not the dead, but these dead won.
The agreement with the IMF was canceled, but the IMF remains in the country. I managed to
win the victory over the agreement, the tip of the iceberg. But the iceberg has not gone
away, it will continue to harm us and plunge us into a severe crisis.
This transitory government has set a bloody precedent that will be taken into account by
the subsequent government and all those who follow Moreno.
Moreno continues to blame Correa for the exact same shit.
The media only tells what is convenient for them. There is no famous journalistic
"impartiality", on the contrary, they are together with the authorities, which is quite
natural.
The peasantry has powerful power. They have a libertarian impulse, but lack knowledge of
the idea. And it is the duty of the anarchists to begin, finally, the work of organizing
and educating the people.
Finally, it was confirmed with full clarity that the people and the masses are gaining
their rights in the streets, and not through voting and bourgeois media. The way is in the
struggle: by building barricades, and not by voting for the "lesser evil."
These days have become a school. A report will soon follow with better analysis,
background, conclusions, etc.
Fraternal gratitude to comrades around the world for their solidarity, for their response
and struggle everywhere where Ecuadorian power is present. Thank you, comrades, your
spirit inspired us to continue the struggle. Thank! Today the struggle continues - in the
form of an organization.

Pierre Cordelier, loyal friend of Alternative Libertaire has just left us, at 78, without
having known the UCL. ---- Vitruvius teacher at school in the sixties, he met one who
shared his life until his last breath, his "bride" and did not leave the schools of XX th
arrondissement of Paris, with regret, to the last limit, that of age. ---- Libertarian,
humanist, defender of an emancipatory education and respectful of children, he never
ceased to engage to defend them. A historic militant of the Emancipated School, a member
of the SNI-PEGC, then of the SNUIpp, Pierre was, in 1982, one of the driving forces behind
the "Collectif des Enseignants de Paris refusing inspection and grading", one of the first
15 strikers who created in January 1987 the coordination of the teachers against the
project of master-director, and finally participated in 1996 in the creation of SUD-Education.
Following the arson in 1988 in the XX th , he took part in the camp instead of Réunion,
the struggles for housing through the collective of the rue de la Mare and action of
housing law.
In 1997, he joined the Tlemcen school committee that makes a working memory of deported
Jewish children, peeling school records of XX th to extract more than a thousand names to
be engraved on plaques affixed some sixty establishments.
The occupation of the Saint-Bernard church in 1996 and his violent evacuation pushed him
to invest, until the end of his life, alongside the undocumented and especially in the
Network Education Without Borders (RESF) whose he was one of the initiators in June 2004.
Pierre, he was also a bon vivant, a member of the Fine Grocery Association, a naturist, a
passionate photographer, a friend of the beasts, a father and a benevolent grandfather who
looked at the world with an amused look, a character between Freinet and Tati that those
who knew him will never forget.

Despite a landslide vote to Repeal the 8th amendment, women are still being forced to
travel for abortions. The Health Service Executive revealed today that 244 women who had
passed the 12-week limit for an abortion had called their helpline. The 12 week deadline
is an extremely restrictive deadline. Due to a national shortage of GPs many women have to
wait up to a week to get appointments. Parts of rural Ireland still do not have GP
coverage. ---- They also reported that 100 children called the helpline - a shocking
number - but underlining that we are still failing to protect children from sexual abuse.
---- The HSE data is worrying. Those in power remain much more conservative than the
general population. They had to be forced by popular pressure to allow a referendum. We
will have to keep fighting to stop them from rolling back on what little rights they have
given us.

Anarchist comrades have orgainzed a picket in support of Rojava near the Turkish embassy
in center of the Minsk. Police tried to detain comrades, but did not have any success.
Today, October, 15th, four anarchist comrades from Minsk started an illegal picket near
the Turkish embassy in center of the Minsk. Anarchists with their faces masked were
holding the placards, saying "Erdogan fuck off", "Kurdish revolution will win!" and
others. Leaflets were spread among the people who passed by. ---- Comrades have chanted:
"Free Rojava, Death to Turkish empire!", "Death to Turkish fascism!". ---- We are here to
express our solidarity with the people of Kurdistan, which was fighting against ISIS and
imperialism, and for their freedom" - said one of the comrades in a loudspeaker.
A cop who was guarding the embassy, started pulling out the posters out or the comrades'
hands and tried to detain one of the comrades. Others did not let him do that and
literally pulled out the comrade from the cop's hands. After that all the comrades run away.
Reminder: illegal picketing in Belarus is punished by up to 15 days of arrest and this
punishment is widely used.
Belarusian anarchists express full solidarity to a people of Rojava and the comrades
fighting there: RUIS, IRPGF and Tekosîna Anarsîst.

The pressures made by the International Monetary Fund have led to the reduction of wages
by up to 20% and the elimination of taxes on the importation of agricultural machinery and
raw materials. The increases in the price of fuel impacted the public transport sector who
led the demonstrations on October, 3d. On October, 4th, students and workers joined the
movement, so the demonstrations in the city of Quito took on an insurgent nature. ---- The
indigenous communities decided to join the movement and reach the city of Quito, joining
forces with the workers and students, since the transport union ceased its struggle once
the transport rates increases had been agreed by false representatives of that union.
These are the first manifestations after 15 years of calm. This calm in the force of the
people originated with the government of Rafael Correa who neutralized the popular
demonstration using the inhuman state apparatus of capital and neoliberal measures.
Today, the popular uprising has led the government of Lenin Moreno to flee to Guayaquil,
the second economic center of Ecuador. On the other hand the demonstrators showed their
capacity to fight, taking for a short period of time the building of the National Assembly
of Ecuador. The state has wanted to oppress demonstrations through arbitrary detentions,
the use of excessive force in violation of international treaties and the blockade of
human rights organizations and the Red Cross.
For this reason we turn to the international proletariat, we believe that the grouping
under the banners of solidarity between peoples, without borders, is a weapon of high
power that we have in our favor. Our call is to unity, the Latino people - and in this
specific case, the Ecuadorian people - can no longer carry alone the consequences of this
neoliberal fascist policy that aims to give our economy more and more to the oligarchy
despots and the IMF, responsible for the misery that afflicts so much to the workers.
The social struggle that is developing in Ecuador does not obey to any political party.
This struggle is born of solidarity between peoples who recognize themselves as brothers,
fueling the libertarian fire that knows no barriers which cloud the horizon.
This communiqué is signed by anarchist and libertarian organizations that do not claim to
be the voice of the Ecuadorian people, but they do feel the struggle as if it were their own.

Members of the Anarchist Communist Group (UK) are shocked and saddened to hear of the
passing of Sean Kealiher. ---- Sean, who I came to know through ultra-left circles on
social media, went by different names online, some of these referring to past, Italian
anarchists. Although the names might have changed, behind them all was the same
knowledgeable, courageous, funny, interesting person. We shared laughs at the nonsensical
world of politics, modern anarchism, and leftist drama. It was obvious that Sean was a
militant anti-fascist and principled anarchist - an enemy of this society, with its cops,
prisons, and oppression - whilst being completely unpretentious and down-to-earth.
When we chatted, he told me he was interested in translating Italian insurrectionary
texts, and I posted his account of the 2017 J20 protests on libcom
(https://libcom.org/news/j20-portland-report-comrade-22012017). I suspect most of his
writings were published pseudonymously or anonymously. I only wish I had gotten to know
him more, but I write this for his family/friends, to let them know that even though we
are thousands of miles away, he mattered to us as a friend and anarchist, and the
Anarchist Communist Group expresses our condolences to them.
"Right now I see tension, and it is the role of anarchist to incite this tension, to build
love and rage against this society and all it stands for. Regardless of tendency, the time
is ripe for attack and propaganda." - Sean Kealiher, 2017.

Next Saturday, October 19, 2019, at 18h, the CNT-AIT Catalunya will organize on the
Angels' Plaza in Barcelona, an informative and solidarity action with prisoners on hunger
strike and with Antoine Nieto Galindo. Antoine, a social and anarchist rebel, is the
oldest political prisoner in Europe (and perhaps the world oldest political prisoner, a
sad record ...) He has been imprisoned for more than 50 years for not having given in to
the injustices of the penitentiary system. Although seriously ill, these same prison
injustices prevent him from getting out of prison, thus not respecting the bourgeois laws
themselves. ---- Antoine Nieto Galindo expropriated banks in the 70's without having
committed any blood crime. He is a former member of the Coordination of Prisoners in
Struggle (COPEL)[which in the late 1970s led to many mutinies in post-Francoist Spanish
prisons]. Aintoine is an irreducible fighter against a system that only punishes poverty.
He suffered innumerable ill-treatment, torture and isolation from his jailers. In
addition, he is also expected to be extradited to France at the end of his final sentence
in Spain - in January 2020 - for two life sentences handed down in 1998 following a
trialin France that he had not been allowed to attend. It is still time for us to stop
this extradition and to obtain its immediate release, and to cry out to the four winds
that the fight will continue until the demolition of these extermination centers named
prisons.
The rotating hunger strike is the continuation of those conducted since 2018. It proposes
a 14 basic points as a collective struggle plateform which, without losing sight of the
final horizon: abolition of all prisons, would allow a minimal existence worthy of the
people who had the misfortune of falling into the trap of this dehumanizing system,
reproductive of poverty, that is the Penitentiary Institution.
The hunger strike is rotated every ten days, at the end of which other prisoners in
another penitentiary geographical area will take over. This strike is intended for
duration as long as possible. It is a proposal for combat that is a sign of the solidarity
and firmness that spread like a wildfire among the group of rebel prisoners, in front of a
system that seeks to cancel their rights and crush them brutally. Faced with this
injustice, we join their clamor, like other social groups and libertarians who support the
struggle from outside.
Come participate in all the actions and support actions organized!
For the 14 points and the abolition of prisons!
No to the extradition of Antoine Nieto Galindo!
Freedom for the prisoners who are fighting!
