When animals die for fun, it isn't sport; it's cruelty

Torture Isn't Culture. Sign the Petition to Demand That Spain End the "Sport" of Bullfighting Now! Sign Now Dear friends, It's hard to believe that Spain continues to support the legal torture and murder of animals for entertainment, but it does. Not only is bullfighting an unambiguous form of animal cruelty, it's also dangerous for bullfighters. This was clearly evidenced during a recent bullfight in the Spanish city of Madrid, where a matador was gored and barely managed to escape death. Then, in a horrible twist, the matador quickly recovered and returned to the ring. He killed the bull and cut off the dead animal's ears as a trophy. Bullfighting is nothing more than a form of sadism that ends in the death of an innocent animal, and exalts in provoking fear and terror. Spain must end this grotesque "tradition" now.
