They want to deregulate our drinking water

Dear friends,
It should be common sense that drinking water must be protected. After all, human beings need water in order to stay alive. Every day, we drink water and whatever is inside that liquid gets put into our bodies, meaning it has to be absolutely clean and safe. Yet the U.S. government just showed they don't care about our water or our health.
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), headed by Donald Trump's eco-hating cronies, recently proposed a plan to remove regulations for "non-permanent" water sources. What does that mean? Essentially, thousands of miles of streams and wetlands that we use to source drinking water will suddenly be unprotected, meaning it's open season for polluters.
We've seen what happens when we let corporations do whatever they want with our health and our environment. They dump toxic runoff, evade responsibility, and haphazardly pollute our land. That doesn't only damage our environment. It also means poisoning the water we drink.
The EPA's change in regulations could impact a full third of all Americans. That's one in three people who would be at risk of drinking polluted water.
It should be obvious that we need to regulate the bodies of water we drink out of, and any other bodies of water that feed into those sources. We shouldn't have to tell the EPA that, but clearly it's time for us to remind them!
Thank you for all that you do,
