Renew Europe has today welcomed the election of Adrián Vázquez Lázara MEP (Ciudadanos, Spain) as chair of the Committee on Legal Affairs (JURI).
Adrián Vázquez Lázara, newly elected Chair of JURI, said today after the vote:
“The Legal Affairs Committee will play a key role in shaping legislation during this term. I am honoured to be elected Chair of this committee and I will put all my efforts into delivering the reforms and changes that European citizens are demanding from this Parliament. I want to thank all of my colleagues for the trust they have placed in me. I am looking forward to working closely with all the parliamentary groups with respect, dialogue and moderation, but also with the enthusiasm and ambition that have always been the pillars of the European project.”
