The little bumble bee needs our help!

Bumble bees are dying out. But the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service keeps putting off action to help save them.

Dear friends,
Bumble bees have suffered immensely in the 21st century. Since the 1990s, scientists estimate that we've lost 90 percent of the bumble bee population. There are a lot of factors to their decline, but chief among them is that bumble bee habitat has dropped by 87 percent.
Yet, despite these shocking numbers, it took the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) until 2017 to add the rusty patched bumble bee to the Endangered Species List. It was supposed to be a new beginning. But since then, USFWS has missed its legal deadlines to protect bumble bee habitat. When the agency was granted an extension, it unbelievably missed the new deadline too!
The Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) took action and filed a lawsuit (its third) against USFWS for its failure to act. Now, the agency has until July 31 of 2021 to finalize habitat protection for the rusty patched bumble bee. We must make sure this happens.
Bumble bees are essential to keeping our environment healthy and keeping people fed. They are among the most important pollinators in the world and they are vital in helping to keep our crops growing. Bumble bees help keep us alive. The least we can do is hold our government accountable to do what is required to save them.
Thank you,

P.S. Bumble bees can't wait any longer for the U.S. government to take action to save them. Demand USFWS protect bee habitat now.
