While Some Neighbors Are Helping Each Other Through the Pandemic, Others Are Stockpiling Goods to Drive Up Their Prices. All U.S. States Must Pass Anti-Price Gouging Laws!

Dear friends,
The day the first American death from the COVID-19 was reported, two brothers took a whirlwind trip around Tennessee and Kentucky, snapping up as many bottles of hand sanitizer, masks, and wipes as they could. They ultimately filled a U-Haul truck and then a garage with these essential items, intending to re-sell them at exorbitant prices. Unfortunately, they're not the only people preying on the public's coronavirus-related fears.
Luckily, in their case, they didn't get away with it. Amazon.com cracked down on vendors like these, blocking them from hoarding and then scalping these products. And because the brothers' home state of Tennessee had already passed anti-price gouging laws, it also took action. But 16 U.S. states don't have these types of laws protecting the public, and they need to enact them now. Sign the petition to demand that all U.S. states stop low-lifes from taking advantage of the pandemic by passing anti-price gouging laws today!
Thank you,
P.S. Exploiting a crisis to make boatloads of money via price-gouging isn't illegal in every U.S. state, but it should be. Tell the last 16 states to end predatory pricing for essential goods, now!
