He beat this fox with a bat, but it was still breathing — so he crushed it to death with his foot. "It's in my blood." That's the justification this fur-trapper gave when asked why he brutally tortured, beat, and finally crushed a helpless fox after the entire gruesome event was caught on film. The footage shows the fox laying near a road, caught in a snare trap — a notoriously inhumane method of capturing wildlife. The trapper begins to beat him repeatedly with a wooden bat; when he sees it's still alive, he drags the poor animal to the side of the road. Then, he slowly crushes the fox to death between his boot and the hard concrete. This cruelty was committed just for the sake of money. After the man brutally murdered this animal, it was skinned and its fur sold for £15. This type of scenario is unfortunately not uncommon. While the U.K. banned fur farming back in 2000, ensnaring wild animals for their pelts is still legal. Sign the petition to demand that British members of Parliament immediately pass new legislation banning all fur trapping in the U.K.!
