EU/Greece/Turkey Crisis not averted: security policies cannot solve a humanitarian problem, now or in the long-term
A new analysis published today by Statewatch looks at recent events at the borders of Greece, Bulgaria and Turkey.

It covers the background to the situation, the Turkish government's decision to 'open' the border, the events that followed and argues that aside from provoking further humanitarian disaster in itself, the episode highlights the fundamental instability and inhumanity of the EU's 'migration management' model.
