The choices governments make now are crucial, not only to mitigate the worst harm of the pandemic, but also to benefit children over the long term
Many women and girls in Europe are struggling to safely access abortion care during the pandemic as barriers caused by highly restrictive laws and onerous requirements to access abortion services make safe access to this essential health care extremely difficult.
In addition to the greater risk of severe illness and death from coronavirus, discriminatory attitudes and actions are threatening older people’s human rights.
