This #dolphin's #life was even more #tragic than her #recent #death.

Honey the dolphin was forced to live in total isolation for 15 years. She died without ever knowing friendship or freedom. Sign Now Dear friends, A great many of us are experiencing the turmoil of self isolation in the midst of this global pandemic. While we know it is the right thing to do to remain socially distant until the threat of spreading COVID-19 to others has passed, it can be extremely difficult to find pockets of joy and hope. But imagine if you were forced to self isolate, against your will, for no other reason than the entertainment of others? That was the sad life that Honey the dolphin was made to endure until her death in early April, 2020. Inubosaki Marine Park Aquarium in Choshi, Japan, was Honey's cruel home. She ended up there, swimming circles in her small pool all alone, after she was stolen from her home and family in 2005 during a Taiji hunt. These hunts round up terrified dolphins for slaughter or to be sold into a life of misery. When the marine park was abandoned by its owner in 2018, Honey was abandoned along with it. Honey lived for two more years in isolation before succumbing to death in 2020. Honey would never know there were people who wanted to see her free again. Instead, she died without ever seeing another dolphin.
