Don't let the Yulin dog meat festival happen ever again

Don't let innocent dogs be dragged off to slaughter! Sign to stop the Yulin dog meat festival once and for all. Sign Now Dear friends, Every year during the 10-day Yulin Dog Meat Festival, thousands of dogs are tortured, skinned or boiled alive, and then slaughtered for human consumption.  Some of these dogs were household pets that were abducted by vendors from loving homes. Some are bred on farms specifically for the purpose of being eaten. But all of the poor animals face a cruel and painful death before winding up on someone's dinner plate. Your activism has pressured the Chinese government into legally classifying dogs as pets and banning their use as livestock for food. That will save tens of thousands of dogs' lives, and proves that the Chinese government is listening. Unfortunately, though, the Yulin Festival is still set to commence later this month anyway. We have to tell officials in China to step in and shut this down! The more we speak out, the more likely it is that we'll be able to make this the year that the Yulin Dog Meat Festival is stopped for good. Sign the petition to show the Chinese government you're not backing down until they permanently cancel the Yulin Dog Meat Festival.
