Invitation to RENEW EUROPE Webinar: "The need to renew Schengen - How to guarantee resilience for our freedom of movement in times of crisis and beyond?"
The Schengen Agreement, signed on 14 June 1985, and the Convention implementing the Schengen Agreement, signed on 19 June 1990, abolished the internal borders of the participating Member States and created a territory without borders, called the Schengen area. On the occasion of this anniversary the Renew Europe group in the European Parliament will host a live webinar to discuss with invited high-level panellists about the impact of past and present crises on the functioning of the Schengen area affecting the free and unrestricted movement of 420 million European citizens.
Representatives of the media are invited to follow the webinar and ask questions to the panellists via the Q&A chat function.
