Today in Class War Daily ---- Shite power ---- Eviction attempt defeated in Bristol! ---- Letter to the editor ---- Got a text for us? Email
classwardaily@gmx.com ---- Class War Daily 15/06/2020 https://classwar.world/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/CW-Daily-49-200615.pdf ---- Shite
power ---- Nauseating gobshite Tommy Robinson has been on the powder again. Last week he shared a much parodied video having a meltdown over
Churchill getting a light makeover from Black Lives Matter protestors and called his legion of racists to the streets to protect the symbols
of empire & privilege in central London. Then a few days later his trademark cowardice kicked in and another video appeared with a laughable
set of excuses as to why he wouldn't be showing up in person.
This was never about a bit
of spray paint. The sight of
tens of thousands of young
people marching together
against police & state racism
has been boiling the piss of
fascists and reactionaries and
Saturday was supposed to be
their response to it.
So a 3,000 strong shower of
shite gathered in Parliament
square to drink, sing out
of tune and piss on police
memorials. Apparently to
protect two statues that
were already boarded up.
Predictably they soon got
pissed and bored and started
attacking journalists, the
cops and each other before
being allowed to leave in
significant numbers.
Several large groups headed
for Trafalgar square where
the London Black Revs were
having a rally. Despite being
outnumbered and pelted
with bottles and fire works
the Revs stood their ground
& charged the fascists out
of their space several times.
However worse was to come
for the master race as several
groups of them were foolish
enough to stray into south
London where the locals
were waiting for them.
The welcome they received
has led to very many viral
images and videos circulating
of an assortment of fash
and racists getting pasted in
several different locations.
One image, of a muscular
black dude carrying a semi
conscious middle aged bigot
away from more of a kicking
than he'd already received,
has already become iconic.
All told it was a very bad day
for the state's useful idiots.
While they're not known for
their intelligence; picking
on a movement with the
immediate ability to smash
them off the streets is dumb
even by their standards.

EVICTION ATTEMPT DEFEATED IN BRISTOL!
The old Gasometer site on
Glenfrome Road was the
battleground on Saturday
for the fight between
residents and bailiff firm
GRC who rocked up in
the early hours in large
numbers to force a court
orderless eviction.
Acting under acommon law
eviction, where they quite
literally are the lap dog of
the landlord, in this case
Wales & West Utilities, they
came for a scrap with no
oversight but themselves.
When the Cops turned, as
ever they played the biased
observer ensuring residents
can't defend themselves
while protecting the bailiff
trash as they act bullish
and force their way. Sad for
them they couldn't enact
Section 61 and get stuck
in themselves, but you
know that requests went
in "awww please Sarge
let me put the boot in?"
The bailiffs were plenty
hostile and violent tho.
Not even an hour there and
they were attacking those
who had come to defend
the residents. Pushing
their way clear and then
using plant machinery to
tear down the gate. The
travellers who had set up
pitch a few weeks ago were
force on the defensive by
the bully boys in WWU's
pocket. They had been
there for weeks, minding
their own business on a
patch of empty disused
land and now they had
to fight for their homes.
Fortunately one of the
locals jumped ontop of
the machinery forcing a
stoppage and everyyone
hunkered down for a
long day. I'm not kidding
either, the class traitors
only left at midnight and
residents were given a
solemn promise that there
will be no further attempt
at eviction for ten days. By
the sound of it they'll be
meeting with the landlord
today to see if they can find
a better solution. In short
tho. We fucking won.For
now. So if you're a Bristol
resident, keep tabs on your
local trouble and maybe
get ready for an early rise
in ten days. They've done it
once, it can be done again!
Resist all evictions!
Let people be where they
be you corporate bastards.

While the attention of the world was firmly focused on all things Covid-related, the UK Supreme Court published an extremely interesting
decision in R (on the application of Palestine Solidarity Campaign Ltd) v the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local
Government. The case concerned a claim for judicial review on behalf of the Palestinian Solidarity Campaign against the publication of
guidance by the Secretary of State which limits the power of local government pension schemes to ‘pursue policies that are contrary to UK
foreign policy or UK defence policy'. ---- Image by Nattanan Kanchanaprat from Pixabay ---- By way of background, the local government
pension scheme caters for about five million past and present local government employees, across 89 local authorities. A matter that proved
to be of some importance is the fact that, unlike other public pension schemes, a local authority may be required to make increased
contributions...

An article by Martina Gomes published on the Contretemps site: A wave of mobilizations broke out in the midst of the chaos produced by the
inability of the governments to stop the Covid-19. The largest group at risk is the racialized population and, within it, women and LGBTI +.
This "risk group" is constituted every day by a system of social exclusion which finds its foundations in a racist and misogynistic logic.
---- The spread of the virus around the world has led to the unveiling of inequalities in all their complexity, in particular the factor
that determines who can no longer breathe after the contagion: Skin color! The more fascist the ideas of the leaders, the less we black
people and people of color can breathe or, in other words, survive. The radical nature of the project taking place in countries like Brazil
and the United States has caused the biggest wave of anti-racism in recent decades in the world.
The dangers of irruption: the weight of the racist structure and the privileges of whiteness!
The "justice for George Floyd" fight has become a global symbol of resistance for life amid the pandemic and has pushed Trump back into the
indiscriminate use of the national security forces, isolating him from other institutions in the country. It's been more than 2 weeks of
uninterrupted protests with millions of people on the streets of the United States, defying the curfew and the virus itself. If the racist
murder of George Floyd was the streak of survival around the world, we cannot kid ourselves: only the confrontation with racism can
guarantee a dignified life for all: Blacks and Whites.
We must carry this declaration to its ultimate consequences. It is not only a struggle for speaking out, or for a better image. It is the
fight for the conscience of those who courageously propose to confront these governments. Consequently, the capacity of blacks to act in
demonstrations must be considered by organizations as a strategic necessity to widen our mobilizations.
It is important to note that one of the consequences of the claim that racism is something structural, especially in Brazil, the darkest
country outside of Africa, is that the structures of whiteness are at work in all aspects of social life. And, unfortunately, the political
struggle, even that waged by leftist organizations, is also under pressure from these structures. There are no vaccines that immunize
racism, but it is necessary to build a radically anti-capitalist and anti-racist program and practice.
Thus, faced with all the existing contradictions, we cannot run the risk of avoiding the racial question, once it is recognized that
anti-fascism, in the land of the myth of racial democracy, necessarily includes in its program the fight against racism. In this sense, we
must not hesitate: we must give the necessary importance and give priority to the fight against racial oppression at this historic moment.
No life will have value as long as the value of black life is denied.
#VidasNegrasImportam first!
Contrary to what the logic of racism tries to instill in workers at all times, by intensifying as much as possible the struggle for the life
of blacks, we are fighting for all of us. Capitalism in crisis, which is once again trying to reinvent itself, promises to be even more
violent in its racial dynamic of overexploitation and genocide of black strata around the world. But contrary to what some people may think,
this problem is not the preserve of blacks: they kill blacks and people of color at the tip of their rifles by the thousands by the month
every month in Brazil[among other things by the action of military police and militias in deprived areas], precisely to keep the rest of the
population in an ultra-flexible working regime.
The cry "A Vida dos Negros Importam" ("The life of blacks counts") asserts itself as the most coherent struggle for life and democracy in
Brazil. Is this idea very powerful and subversive? Yes! In the land of the myth of racial democracy, of the fallacious harmony between
slaves and masters, to see the unification of whites and blacks in favor of black life is to say that we no longer believe in this lie. This
conclusion is urgent!
Like the actions initiated in the United States, demonstrators overthrew last Saturday, June 6, in Bristol, England, the statue of Edward
Colston (1636-1721), largely responsible for the trafficking of Africans enslaved and displaced in the Americas. This fact is emblematic of
the mobilization potential of blacks. These are multiracial demonstrators who are heading for the overthrow of one of the material bases of
capitalism in all parts of the world. There are still many statues of this racist society to overthrow!
The elimination of racism is one of the fundamental dimensions of anti-fascism. In the country that kills the most blacks in the world, to
give its place to the fight against racism is to manifest an anti-fascist intransigence.

The voice of the farmers who recently created an Agriculture working group within UCL. ---- The coronavirus crisis has revealed the food
dependence of our society. Massive imports of certain productions, exports of others ... French agriculture is completely unbalanced ! ----
With containment, there has been a craze for local production. Health risk in supermarkets, closing of open-air markets ... producers have
shown ingenuity to compensate for this with farm sales, online orders and other "drives". The main concern remains the lack of peasants, and
of diversified productions to meet this demand. ---- Since the rationalization, intensification and industrialization movement of the Thirty
Glorious Years, farms, regions and even entire countries have specialized. Depending on the climate and the soil, of course. But
professional management (technicians, general unions and supply chain unions, chambers of agriculture, banking, etc.) has also largely
pushed it: wine production in the Var ; sheep milk in Aveyron ; bovine dairy in the Great West... The banker easily grants you a loan - even
difficult to repay - if you align yourself with the specialty of the region. It will be much more reluctant, even for a small sum, if you
get out of the nails !
The result of this specialization: French production exports certain productions - cereals, wines, cow's milk - but massively imports
others. The majority of vegetable stalls come from Italy or Spain. Industrialization leads to export agriculture, but does not guarantee
food autonomy or equal access of the population to food. On the contrary, it is a fine territorial network of small and medium-sized farms,
with a plurality of productions, which can guarantee quantity and food diversity.

Black Lives Matter the Netherlands has occupied the squares of the Netherlands these past weeks. Yet politicians and our government keep
ignoring the message. Instead they rush into passing a law which legalizes even more police violence and by doing so they spit on the
communities of colour in NL. On Saturday the 20th of June we will raise our fists to make a stand in The Hague (Malieveld).
We have to stop the increasing legislation of police violence and the racist consequences! Be there! Speak up! Together we say: BLACK LIVES
MATTER.
More info is coming soon!

Today, worldwide, the destruction and looting of the natural environment with incalculable consequences for local communities / communities
and for the planet as a whole, is only one part of the state's and capital's savage attack on nature and the world at large. population. We
are now on the verge of endangering the survival of all living things, as we are talking about climate change without room for improvement
and a global environmental and ecological crisis. ---- Deforestation, pollution of the seas, melting of polar ice caps, climate change, the
greenhouse effect, shrinking biodiversity and the extinction of many animal species are just some of the parts of the overall marginal state
of environmental crisis. capitalist aggression.
As far as Greece is concerned, in recent years a huge restructuring process is underway, which essentially aims to sell natural wealth to
private capital and is part of the story of "overcoming the crisis" and "economic growth" and is projected as a case. national interest, in
order to pre-empt the resistance of local - and not only - societies. The growing energy need leads to solutions that have only negative
consequences for the environment and people's quality of life. The installation of wind farms in many fraudulent parts of the territory
resulting in the destruction of the ecosystem, the waste incineration plants in Volos that for the production of energy turn the atmosphere
into dangerous for public health,
To all this is added the anti-environmental bill submitted by the Mitsotakis government for discussion and finally voting on the days when
society was experiencing a global humanitarian crisis, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, a bill with pillars of "green growth" and
profitability at the expense of the physical world.
This bill provides for, among other things, the extension of environmental approval decisions from 10 to 15 years, so as to simplify
approval procedures and limit any blocking of projects through environmental studies. It also allows the liberalization of mining activity
in "Habitat and Species Protection Areas" as well as the liberalization of economic and commercial activity within Natura 2000 zones,
depending on their character. In terms of meeting energy needs, these reforms pave the way for wind farm facilities in various fraudulent
mountains of the country, in the continuation of hydrocarbon mining in the Ionian and Epirus, as well as in the full legitimacy of the
continuation of mining in Skouries.
The state will do everything to save capitalism and this has become clear from the first time after the end of quarantine. Fighters are
being prosecuted for their actions against the installation of wind farms in Agrafa. resulting in several injuries. The state, therefore,
clearly shows that it will not let anyone get in the way of its plans for even more profit and misery.
These attacks have already been resisted by residents of local communities who do not want to see their place destroyed for the sake of a
"development" built not only to the detriment of nature but also to workers, societies and the planet as a whole.
We, as anarchists, stand against the state-capitalist intervention in the natural world, which aims at its speculative exploitation,
plundering and destroying it. We support the initiatives of the local communities, realizing that the fight against nature looting is a
fight against the state, capital and all those who try to devalue our lives. They do not frighten us and they do not stop us. We are
fighting for a world where there will be no exploitation of either the natural environment or man to man. We are the forces of creation and
they will find us in the face of their plans for more growth and more profit that will result in poverty, misery and destruction.

Collectivity for Social Anarchism
Black and Red
---------------------------------
The "Black and Red" political collective was formed in September 2014 and is part of Social Anarchism, which considers it to be
crystallized, in the most compatible way at the time, by the characteristics of the anarchist currents that historically formed the
revolutionary social movement. The idea of fulfilling individual and collective emancipation is embodied in the culture of Liberal
Communism, as a vision for a society liberated, free from oppression, exploitation and the constant pursuit of profit, proposing the free
development of personal will and solidarity. Achieving this goal requires constant social intervention, targeting workplaces, schools,
universities and neighborhoods, with the ultimate goal of organizing from the social base. We consider the coordination of the fighting
forces necessary and we are oriented towards it, participating as a collective in the Anarchist Political Organization - Federation of
Collectivities .

On June 16, more than 200 demonstrations were held throughout France demanding higher wages and better working conditions for physicians. In
marches organized by unions, tens of thousands of people took part. Anarchists, activists of the "black bloc" and the movement of "yellow
vests" also joined the protests. In a number of places, including Paris, Nantes, Lille and Toulouse, the statements were accompanied by
clashes with the police. ---- In Paris, the battles between the police (which always provoked the demonstrators) and the anarchists from the
ranks of the "black bloc" who marched ahead of the union columns began to boil on the esplanade near the Invalides. Fending off police and
gendarmes who used gas, radical protesters turned cars over and built barricades from burning garbage cans. Even after most of the
demonstrators dispersed, the battles continued. Detained more than 30 people.
In Nantes, clashes also broke out. Protesters stoned the police and fired rocket launchers. Clashes with the police were also reported in
Lille and Toulouse.
Union bosses hastened, as usual, to dissociate themselves from radical protesters, although everyone is well aware that symbolic marches
have no effect on the French authorities ...
