A solidarity action at Free Derry Wall took place this evening as an international gesture of solidarity with the creation of Capitol Hill
Autonomous Zone (CHAZ) in Seattle. Despite being under constant pressure from authorities in Seattle and those in the Whitehouse following
daily Black Lives Matters protests, many seek to continue with CHAZ to see it develop into something more sustainable. ---- Over the last
number of weeks of its existence, many have equated CHAZ with similar revolutionary periods of historical significance from the Paris
Commune, the Communes of revolutionary Spain and that of the events which took place here during Free Derry. ---- What is for sure is that
the act itself has opened up room for free debate and discussion which has assisted the current climate of relvot taking place across north
America. The possibilities of future changes within society and how this can happen directly as communities organise at grassroots level and
building horizontally.

Again today's action is a solidarity call in support of the people of Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone from Free Derry!

Released in 2013, Sébastien Broca's Utopie du libre libre traces the history of the free software movement, its impact on society, and the
possibilities that emerge thanks to the activism of its actors and actresses. ---- At the end of the 1970s, the market sphere quickly caught
up with the "delay" it then had in the field of IT, by installing legislative and organizational locks, mainly in the world of work. We can
speak of a time "of enclosure" in the use of IT, by analogy with the turning point in the organization of English society, in which the
Enclosure Acts have, over the XVII th and XVIII nd centuries, put an end to usage rights and dismantled the commons, reserving the communal
meadows for owners of sheep who produce wool and leaving peasant families to sink into precariousness.

The hack of the century
Back to IT ; in this context of enclosure, a figure stands out for his activism and his ideals: Richard Stallman. Founding activist of the
Free Software Foundation (FSF), he launched resistance in the early 1980s. With the FSF, the project of a free operating system (GNU) is
born. In addition, taking advantage of what copyright law grants to authors and authors on the use of their works, the FSF wrestles a free
license, the famous General Public License (GPL). This grants users four freedoms - use, modification, copying and redistribution - and
requires that these in turn be respected by software that uses a source code under the GPL license. Nice nose to a legislation which wants
to guarantee the sacrosanct commodification of the world!

Like any movement, the free software movement is influenced by the surrounding context in its evolution. In the early 1990s, another vision
of free software emerged. Wanting to be "pragmatic" and far from any "ideology", open source is born. It is a reflection of the turning
point "end of history" of this decade. Since you have to make money from everything, wouldn't it be wiser to transform free software, the
horizontal organization of its contributors, and their commendable technical performance, into a source wealth?

The question remains open until today. The beliefs of the free software movement and those of open source are different. An eloquent
example: the first defends the idea that technology is not neutral, because its design and its rules induce a specific functioning and use.
The second scans that technology is neutral, and that its use determines its meaning.

Struggles and experimentation
The relationship to work and the demand for horizontality that the free software movement will bring to society, and to the world of work,
are studied in detail by the author. Drawing on weighty references (Marx, Gorz, Castoriadis, Negri, Moulier Boutang), Sébastien Broca
conducts relevant analyzes on many subjects: cognitive capitalism, recovery from new management, general intellect, and others possible
demands that emerge such as the commons movement or universal income.

A substantial part of the book is devoted to the battles fought from the 2000s by a new generation of the movement, such as the fight
against patentability in France and in the European Union. Throughout the chapters, we explore hidden corners of history and little-known
analyzes, including one that deserves to be cited: the proximity of the free software movement with the notion of the user-friendly tool, a
notion theorized by Ivan Illich. and dear to the movement of decrease. The excellence of the referenced narration, coupled with a search for
solid argumentation encourages the reading of this book.

The conclusion is clear: the influence of the free software movement goes far beyond the so-called "technical" sphere , and it is far from
being limited to a passionate pastime.

LGBTQ+ people in the UK and across Europe still face discrimination in all aspects of everyday life, according to a survey conducted last
month by the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA). The survey, the largest of its kind ever conducted, focused on the social
experiences of lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and intersex people in 30 European countries, and found that little progress has been made over
the past few years. ---- Compared with a similar FRA survey from 2012 the number of LGBTQ+ people in the UK who say they have been harassed
in the past five years has risen from 55% to 62% - six points higher than the European average. The number of people in the UK who say they
have been violently attacked at least once has gone up by nine points.

This latest research confirms the findings of other studies carried out in the last few years.  A government survey, published in 2019, of
108,100 people who self-identified as LGBT or intersex, also found equally disturbing results. The survey found that at least 2 in 5
respondents had experienced an incident because they were LGBT, such as verbal harassment or physical violence, in the 12 months preceding
the survey.

The survey also found that 59% of trans women and 56% of trans men said they had avoided expressing their gender identity for fear of a
negative reaction from others. For non-binary respondents, the figure was much higher, at 76%. Generally, respondents with a minority gender
identity avoided expressing their gender identity in all contexts, but particularly when out in public (e.g. 68% avoided it on the street).

Research by Stonewall revealed that one in five LGBT have experienced a hate crime or incident in the last year, and this rises to two in
five trans people (41%). A Stonewall survey in 2018 found that one in eight trans employees has been physically attacked by a colleague or
customers.

Trans people and discrimination in the workplace

A TUC survey found that half of trans people surveyed had been bullied or harassed at work and seven in ten saying their experience of
workplace harassment or discrimination has a negative effect on their mental health

Research by Crossland solicitors in 2018, found that 1 in 3 of the UK companies surveyed would not hire a transgender person with 43% unsure
if they would recruit a transgender worker. The survey identified the retail sector as having the highest number (47%) of businesses
unlikely to employ a transgender person, followed by IT (45%), leisure and hospitality (35%) and manufacturing (34%).

Disgracefully, only 12% of employers surveyed had a zero-tolerance policy on transphobic bullying and harassment in the workplace. Given the
high levels of discrimination faced by trans people, the lack of zero-tolerance policies represents an abject failure by employers in their
legal duty to protect employees.

The pandemic treaty brought to society a number of dilemmas that could only be answered through assessments, predictions and assumptions.
From the top to the bottom, all sides of the social war had to make clear decisions moving in uncharted waters. Although we are far from
the end of this collective adventure, it is time for the radical movement to assess the situation, evaluate the choices it has made, clarify
the landscape of the changes that are coming and develop its strategy. How and how different the world will be afterwards, in such
unprecedented conditions, must be determined by us, the social base and the forces that resist today's dystopia. ---- We call for a first
assessment of the choices made in the pandemic treaty by the forces of the movement and the detection of the choices that will need to be
made in the next stages of a health crisis that is now intertwined with a series of other parallel crises (economic, geopolitical) creating
darkness. perspective on the social base

We'll give you Boudica but we bet that's your lot! ---- CLASS WAR has discovered the remarkable histories of three revolutionary working
class women who played major roles at pivotal moments in our history. ---- 1. CHARLOTTE GARDINER was the black woman who was seen by several
witnesses leading the mob's attack on Newgate prison in June 1780 during the Gordon Riots. The Gordon Riots were the most serious
insurrection of the 18th century and the opportunity for every servant to rise up and take their bosses property then burn his house down.
Charlotte is later seen urging on a mob of 'tripemen' to burn houses and loot them in Coleman Street before adopting a too prominent role '
hurrah my lads that's the way' and urging others by example. ---- She was arrested, said nothing at her trial and was executed on June 11th
1780 on Tower Hill. That is all we know of our comrade.

We have been detained for months, isolated and not allowed to meet family. At the initial arrest, we were intimidated, the police did not
immediately explain the purpose of his arrival. They forced us to come to the office. We argue. Suddenly one of them took out a long barrel
and cocked and held us up. I asked for his arrest warrant, but our names were not written. Riski and Aflah were handcuffed and told to sit,
their faces beaten. After that, we were taken to the Tangerang District Police Station. There we were forced to BAP, we asked LBH legal
counsel. They say "it's late" and "Tuh must be LBH". Riski was separated, he was beaten, kicked. He has around 2 million in cash. He was
forced to admit that the money was sent money. After that, we were forced to test urine, monitored and had been hit by a double stickbecause
you don't pee. After that, Riski Riyanto and I were taken to the scene of the crime scene, in our car being hit several times. After that
back to the police station. After that the three of us were interrogated separately. I am the same as Aflah, Riski screams beaten, his head
is covered with plastic so that he does not breathe while being beaten, Aflah and I are also covered his head so that he does not breathe
while being beaten, forced to admit that we are paid.

After that, we were taken to our respective homes. In the car the police said, "If you can't say anything at home, the handcuffs will be
covered too." First to my cafe[Cafe Egaliter- ed], there is a Bagas cellphone. I was forced to admit that it was my cellphone. I was punched
in the chest many times. At home my clothes and alma mater were taken without cause. Likewise, the motorcycle and wallet in the cafe. My ID
card was photographed and marketed in the media, as was our face. Our faces photographed by the police were spread, entered the media with
unfair news content. We bear the pain of being a scapegoat. The graffiti that we made is not to cause trouble. We criticize the government.
We are concerned about their handling of covid-19.

When we were detained and taken to the Polda Unit 3, we were kicked, beaten, and my ears were crushed. It happened in Unit 3 of the Jakarta
Metropolitan Police Unit. After being taken out of the police station we were suddenly taken to the Regional Police using a Jatanras car.
The police carried a long barrel in the Regional Police. We were intimidated many times, forced to use a police lawyer named "Halim."
Families cannot meet us. During stage 2 of the Prosecutors' Office, we were forced to use Halim's lawyer. Even though we have signed a power
of attorney with LBH. After that, we were transferred to the police station without prior information to the family.

To the Honorable Judge, we seek a just decision. We've been tormented so much. This letter I make is real and full of awareness.

Signed,

Rio imanuel

Letter From Behind the Trellis (Written by Riski)

We would like to share some of the violence and intimidation during our arrest. Starting from being pointed at by a long-barreled weapon
during arrest, beatings in several organs, and we were isolated and made difficult by legal assistance.

When we were arrested, we were held by a long barrel so as not to fight. Even though we only requested that our arrest warrant be shown.
When we were taken to the Tangerang District Police, we were beaten while in the car even with blunt objects.

Arriving at the police station we were greeted by several individuals who immediately hit here and there. When we were at the BAP, we asked
for legal assistance, but were refused on the grounds that it was already late. Shortly afterwards came investigators from the Regional
Police interrogated us. We finished at BAP around 5 a.m.

Then we were put in a small cell to be told to rest, around 12 noon came a person from the Police and Police Headquarters interrogated us.
We were taken to a different room. In the room we experienced some violence: from beatings, kicks, to being covered with plastic.

All of that was done so that we would admit that we were told or paid. Even though we are honest, we have no one to order and no one to pay.

And when we were detained at the Regional Police Headquarters, it was difficult for us to get legal assistance from LBH.

The chronology is written exactly as we feel.

Signed
