Although misterb&b was hit hard by Covid-19, our mission remains to help the community of LGBTQ travelers and hosts travel safe, connect and feel welcome everywhere they go. We know that the desire to travel and connect is a basic need, that exploring and discovering is part of who we are as humans and as a company, we are getting ready for the recovery of the travel industry. With short-term rentals and newly added LGBTQ friendly hotels thanks to our successful crowdfunding last year, we are in a very strong position to thrive once the world recovers. In 2019, we were indeed the 1st LGBTQ company to raise $1M+ on an equity crowdfunding campaign, empowering our community, giving them the opportunity to take part in the company’s success. As this 2019 campaign was oversubscribed, we thought another round would be a great opportunity for those who could not join the first time. It’s also a way to renew the emotional bond between the community and the company. . State of the Union The first results following the implementation of our new hotel inventory were very encouraging: by the end of Q1 2020, we were growing bookings 20% month over month, until the global pandemic hit. During the crisis, we have been able to scale down our expenses (4X less) and are now ready to scale up. How will we use the money raised? This campaign will be used to develop a safety protocol and technical solution to help guests and hosts navigate through this unexpected event. It will also help relaunch our growth efforts.
