affecting the weakest, the elderly, the unemployed and migrants. ---- Government policy works only for the profit of the few and engages in
wars with other groups of power around the world, with disastrous consequences for man and nature. The logic of power and domination is the

The Stop Carnet collective is leading the fight against the industrial zone project on the Loire Estuary, work on which is due to start this
fall. The day of June 17 marked the intensification of resistance actions. ---- South of the Loire, more precisely in Frossay and on the
Carnet site, a new large-scale local struggle is being played out to prevent the construction of an industrial zone intended for "green
technologies" on the banks of the Loire. This Carnet industrial project is one of the first 12 turnkey industrial sites offered by Macron to
180 multinational bosses around the world on January 20 in Versailles. The Stop Carnet collective is organizing resistance and seeking to
raise awareness among the local population and public opinion.

Twenty years ago, a nuclear power plant project on the same site had already been avoided thanks to strong local mobilization. The Carnet
site is 395 ha of rich and diversified natural space, classified Natura 2000, a mosaic of sandy habitats on a wetland classified of national
interest (OZNH) at the level of a valuable migratory corridor for the region (ZNIEFF zone) and no less than 116 protected species. 110 ha of
this space are concerned by a project to extend the Nantes Saint-Nazaire seaport, supposed to accommodate an industrial zone intended for
so-called "renewable " energies, supported by the port's large companies such as Total, Cargill, Yara, Alstom , Engie ...

The industrial zone is intended in particular for the manufacture of wind turbines which will require the exploitation of rare metals and
their transport by sea on the Loire. However, the site is in a flood zone and therefore subject to the risk of submersion as the sea level
increases.

A new green showcase
"This project is devastating for the site and the region, but it is also dangerous, undemocratic, and symptomatic of a model of society
which continues to organize the exploitation of life and resources behind a new green showcase. This is all that we want to denounce with
this collective ! » According to Yoann, member of the Stop Carnet collective as well as of the Terres Communes collective which fights
against small and large useless and imposed projects. At a time when Covid 19 has demonstrated the link between the destruction of
biodiversity, natural habitats, flora and fauna and the spread of deadly viruses, the concreteization of 110 ha of natural area is an
aberration.

Industrial wastelands are however available everywhere in France to accommodate such a project. Actions to fight against the Carnet
industrial project are stepping up since work is due to start in the fall. On June 17, the site was taken over by environmental activists
during the national mobilization day against the re-intoxication of the world. A weekend of struggle will take place on August 29 and 30 to
show the determination of the collective and supporters to prevent the project and raise awareness of the harmful consequences of green
capitalism.

Approximately 6,000 workers used to earn a living in the Dragon Sweater factory located in the capital of Bangladesh, Dhaka. In March 2020,
the factory closed down using the CoViD-19 pandemic as a pretext. The owners decided to terminate the workers without severance pay, owed
wages, owed provident fund amounts and owed bonus pay. The action to fire workers without the pay and benefits owed to them is illegal. ----
The factory owners are part of a large conglomerate called Dragon Group, which also has an office in London. Until now they reject to
cooperate with the workers. Most of them are organized with the Garment Workers' Trade Union Center (GWTUC) and they have been taking their
struggle to the streets since the factory closure was annonced.
So far, we can confirm that the workers were sewing, ironing and packing for New Yorker, Walmart and Lidl in huge numbers in 2019! Those
brands directly profited from the exploitation of those workers. Therefore, we want to carry this struggle to where the big bucks are made

The first - favorable for employees - judgments in the case against companies that failed to pay wages to Poznan porter's and porter's
officers were passed. The KAIO and CAPREA companies are to pay four people a total of PLN 32,000 of overdue wages with immediate effect.
They have been waiting for salaries for two years. ---- CAPREA and KAIO are to not only pay the due wages, including overtime, allowances
for night work, and the equivalent for unused vacation, but also issue work certificates. The court established the existence of an
employment relationship throughout the entire period of employment with the above-mentioned employers. The verdict is not final. It is also
not known whether it will be possible to enforce it. Many of these industry companies de facto exist only on paper.

The next hearings on the claims of doormen and doormen will be held in August this year. A total of over 30 lawsuits were filed against
employers - temporary work agencies hired by the VISION GROUP security company - for the considerable amount of PLN 265,000 in arrears.
Dozens of people were injured - 20 of them reported to the Employee Initiative. Some died without waiting for outstanding wages.

Additionally, lawsuits were filed in five other cases relating to security services. In one of them, the employer was accused of
discrimination on the grounds of membership of a trade union. All cases are handled by attorney Marcin Czachor.

Let us remind you that this edition of the campaign for the injured doormen and doormen has been running since mid-2018. It has been
revealed that people guarding municipal buildings (Zarzad Komunalnych Zasobów Lokalowych) are employed on junk conditions and have not
received remuneration for two months. However, the scale of the abuse was much greater. Employees injured by the APT employment agency, also
working for the VISION GROUP, also applied to the Employee Initiative. A prosecutor's investigation is also underway.

The Employee Initiative is currently involved in a similar case in Warsaw, as well as in several other Polish cities. The scale of using the
work of porters and doormen is shocking. Most of the people being deceived are working seniors and seniors. The outsourcing system is to
blame for this, i.e. outsourcing security services not only by private entities, but also by public institutions: city offices,
universities, courts, etc. Since in the case of security services, the greatest costs are employees' salaries, the savings are de facto
obtained to the detriment of for employees. Firms competing for contracts primarily on price, and the existing social clauses regarding
working conditions simply do not work. Responsible for this state of affairs are not only the companies that directly provide the services
in question, but also public clients. The practice of cheating on wages and extreme undercutting of labor costs is well known and described.
Nevertheless, public institutions continue to outsource property protection, pretending that they are not affected by the problem.
