We are informing you of this press release, which has reached us by email. Don't hesitate to do the same and send us your news and opinion
letters. ---- Communiqué of the Collective of First Peoples Defenders of Ancestral Lands ---- Defenders of the Land of the Innu people as
well as their allies blocked a railway line near the offices of GNL Quebec in "Saguenay". The message is clear: that the provincial and
federal government as well as the colonial band councils must immediately stop the gas pipeline and LNG project. The implementation of this
project could generate an unprecedented crisis! Let us recall the rail crisis of last February when our sisters and colleagues from the
First Peoples mobilized across the country with the Wet'suwet'en against a gas pipeline project. The Saguenay River is at the heart of our
ancestral lands and as sovereign people we demand its respect and full protection for generations to come.

This applies to our ancient legal orders emanating from Assi (land) itself, which are also an expression of international jus cogens, of our
dignity and the exercise of our right to dispose of ourselves as Innu. You are on unceded land that we have occupied for millennia. Learn to
listen to the First Peoples and to respect the seated Mother Earth Tshikauinu. We stand in solidarity with the current struggles, Mi'kmaq,
Wet'suwet'en, Haudenosaunee at 1492 Land Back Lane, Tiny house Warriors, Secwepemc, Stop Trans Mountain Pipeline, Anishinabe Moose
Moratorium, Justice for Joyce, OCTEC, Kanesatake. As well as all our allies, Matawinie Ekoni Aci Mobilization, Emma Goldman Collective, Mamo
Alliance, Ni Quebec, Ni Canada: Anticolonial Project, students and environmental groups!

The Premier Innu People have been present on the great Tshitassinu since time immemorial. We maintain a sacred relationship with the
Nitassinan. The Nitassinan has never been sold. As Innuat, we have a responsibility to protect this land for future generations. We have
always self-determined on the territory, long before the British crowns, French crowns and the Canadian colonial structures emanating from
the British crown such as the band councils whose jurisdiction was voluntarily restricted to the reserve leaving to the hunters, Elders and
citizens Innu to exercise this fundamental obligation to respect water. We N'

" Enough! It is enough the destruction of our environment that our ancestors bequeathed to us, "says Benoit, member of the Collective of
the First Peoples Defenders of Ancestral Lands.

"It is our responsibility as an Ilnu to protect the earth for the next generations!»Exclaims Kuekuatsheu, member of the same collective.

"Knocking Our Heads on the Wall - It Was Worth It" (2020) is a short documentary film, which portrays a period of anarchist activities in
Croatia (2008-2020), focusing on the regions of Kvarner (Quarnaro / Carnaro) and Istria, but also on a larger scale in Croatia and other
countries like Slovenia, Italy, Greece, Germany, Switzerland and Spain. This document illustrates years of organization, struggle and
lengthy legal procedures. ---- The photographs and graphics used in this film are from the period 2008 to 2020. These visuals depict the
university's student occupation, street protests, worker strikes and visual advertising used for various purposes. In the audio track (2016
interview), Rádio Borba (Eng. Radio Struggle) interviews Eugen Babic after his conviction in criminal proceedings from 2014 onwards. Also
included are audio clips of a protest in 2013, after which the police attacked the protesters. In this act of repression, 15 policemen were
involved in the apprehension of Eugen Babic, in which others also suffered consequences, including a policeman. The focus of the radio
interview is on these events.

Network of Anarchiststakes credit for the film, in celebration of the 4th anniversary of the verdict in Rijeka (2016). The film is made for
those who don't know what happened, for those who want to remember the events and for those who think it's over.

AWSM Note: This article orignally appeared in German. ---- On November 3, the US will not only vote on the presidency: at the same time, a
decision will also be taken on the "Proposal 22" amendment to the law. It could mean a serious step backwards for the rights of platform
workers. ---- There is reason to be happy: An appeals court in California - the birthplace of platform work - ruled last week that Uber
drivers should be viewed as employees and not - as before - as (bogus) self-employed entrepreneurs. ---- Instead of precarious
subcontracting, our colleagues will soon have a minimum wage, paid vacation and sick days and the prospect of health insurance. As the
operating group of Lieferando riders at FAU Berlin, we welcome this success! The negotiation of the technical key data in the gig economy is
almost as young as the model itself - every development in favor of the workers is therefore particularly important - and hopefully
groundbreaking.

For others, there is reason to be outraged: After the verdict, the management of Uber and Lyft promptly threatened to discontinue their
services or to see immense price hikes. Then, however, they preferred to attack the jurisprudence directly: To this end, the law extension
"Proposal 22" (Prop22 for short) was launched. "Prop22" would also tie workers in the gig economy to their role as (bogus) self-employed in
the future. It is the next round in the tug-of-war about the relationship between commitment, rights and obligations - especially of employers.

Prop22 will be decided by the population on November 3rd - at the same time as the presidential election - by voting. No matter what the
result will be - we will continue to fight in solidarity with our colleagues!

The outfits of high school girls, the veil of the vice-president of UNEF, the burkini in the swimming pool, the neckline of the Musée
d'Orsay ... so many recent facts that remind us that women are always too much or not enough covered in the eyes of powers, and that it is
up to men to define what is "normal". ---- Monday, September 14, high school girls launched a day of action around the wearing of clothes
adapted to the heat, in opposition to the directors of establishments which treat a cropped top or shorts as indecent, of girls. And
particularly to point out the inequality of treatment between boys and girls: shorts of the same length, exclusion of girls ; thong that
protrudes in a sitting position, exclusion while the guys show their almost entire underwear without concern ; exclusion from sport for
showing his navel ...

May they be discovered ...
The main argument is that these outfits are provocative and distract boys, even they can cause aggression. It is a great contempt for boys
to think that the sight of a navel or a shoulder can prevent them from taking a class. And a great contempt for girls to hold them
responsible for the behavior of boys.

A slogan has emerged that applies well to rule makers: "She doesn't dress like a slut, you just think like a rapist." The Minister of
National Education, always very relevant, declared that it is enough to dress "normally" [1].

Thursday, September 17, the vice-president of UNEF participates in a meeting at the National Assembly. His veil provokes outraged reactions
and the exit of deputies from the meeting, in particular because the veil would be an indication of submission. Excluding people believed to
be submissive is probably a method of support. Again, there are many reactions to say how a woman should be dressed to go to the assembly,
or elsewhere. Nothing on kippah wearers. Islamophobia is tinged with sexism.

... or not enough ...
Wednesday September 16, Jadot, self-proclaimed presidential candidate declares that the burkini has nothing to do in a swimming pool. An
unwritten rule probably says that a woman should wear a swimsuit that shows off her body, but not too much. Tuesday, September 8, security
officers from the Musée d'Orsay prevented a woman from entering because of her cleavage. They invoke the "rules" that exist only in their
patriarchal brains. Later, the museum management will apologize.

... Women's bodies are disturbing
These incidents have in common that people (often men, but unfortunately not only, but if all women were feminists, the patriarchy would be
over) make rules and impose them on women or girls according to their opinions, of their patriarchal beliefs. This observation is not new,
it nonetheless arouses anger. Women continue to be judged on their appearance: too undressed, too covered, too sexy, too masculine, not
enough this, too that ... It's unbearable, unfair and oppressive, it forces women to be constantly concerned about what should be simple and
mundane, and it is for men: dress as you want.

Here is an introductory article on the topic. ---- The Great October Revolution was celebrated in November. And it actually started in
February. The essence of the Russian revolution, which makes sense to talk about today, was not so much the struggle for state power, but
the process of the bottom-up social revolution. ---- On International Women's Day, March 8 (according to the post-revolutionary calendar,
February 23), 1917, a hungry demonstration of workers who had nothing to lose took place in the then Russian capital, St. Petersburg. "Give
us bread or shoot us!" People shouted in the streets. The war years not only in Russia exacerbated economic and social divisions and
radicalized "ordinary" people. In addition, Russia has reached the end of the impasse of the tsarist autocracy. Natural protests, supported
by a strike that quickly grew into a general strike, were accompanied by sharp clashes with police, but the soldiers disobeyed the Tsar and
joined the protests. Thus, a people's body could be established - the Soviet of Workers' and Military Representatives, in which the
Socialist-Revolutionaries and the Mensheviks prevailed. Politicians who formed the so-called interim government were forced to negotiate
with the leadership of the St. Petersburg Soviet.

No permission

The autocracy fell, but Russia's new government, a coalition of liberals and moderate socialist intellectuals, did not rush into solving the
country's key socio-economic problems and, moreover, had to take into account Soviet policy. And so the opposition gained a response among
the people - the radical Social Democratic faction, or the Bolsheviks, led by Lenin, the anarchists and the Socialist-Maximalists. The
masses that started the revolution continued in it from below, ie without the permission of the newly established power. A real people's
self-government was created. In the factories, the workers elected the workers' soviets and, against the will of the new power, promoted
eight-hour working hours, higher wages and the right to run the factory. In the countryside, traditional civic peasants elected peasant
soviets and occupied farmland, which they handed over under control to their self-governing bodies.

The never-ending war, the openly bourgeois character of the new regime and the social revolution continuing from below finally led to a new
revolutionary crisis in the autumn of the same year. The themes of the autumn revolution were already clear: the nationalization of land,
the expropriation of capitalists' property, the consistent enforcement of popular self-government, the end of the war by unconditional peace...

It was not socialism

The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, created and held together by the victorious Bolsheviks for seventy years, was not socialist,
despite all the proclaimed revolutionary slogans and the name. Society in the USSR could not be socialist, "because it lacked such basic
elements of socialism as social self-government, free self-realization and personality development, the replacement of economic relations
built on the pursuit of profit and bureaucratic dictation, immediate satisfaction of the needs and demands of specific living people." ,
explains Russian anarchist and historian Vadim Damier. In reality, it was state-bureaucratic capitalism. Soviet society was stratified on
the principle of a hierarchical pyramid, the basis of which consisted of lawless masses, individual levels of bureaucratic cadre and the top
dictator (or "only" the party functionary elite). So why remember the Great Russian Revolution?

" Forward, working class"

We do not want to speak of the VRSR as a symbol of breaking the front of capitalism, which thus ceased to be the only system in the world,
although it is indisputable that the Russian Revolution million British workers in the summer of 1918). We see the legacy of the Russian
Revolution elsewhere - in the fact that the unprivileged people of Tsarist Russia adopted the revolutionary socialist slogans so much that
they demanded their fulfillment in future generations with admirable self-evidentness. We're not talking about any left-wing intellectuals
here. We are talking about the "most ordinary" workers of the Soviet Union, who went on strike at least until the 1960s and protested in
every attempt at power to abuse them as unjust subjects. "Forward, the working class, break the shackles of slavery, do not trust the
enemies! "read, for example, a leaflet written during the anti-government and anti-party protests in the winter of 1941 in besieged
Leningrad. And under the red banners and with the shouts of "The Road to the Working Class!" The plan at the time was to get the gas supply
under control, occupy the post office, spread information about the strike and call for it to follow. Dozens died as the regime ordered the
repressive forces to shoot, hundreds were arrested, and seven were sentenced to death for "banditry." And under the red banners and with the
shouts of "The Way to the Working Class!" The plan at the time was to get the gas supply under control, occupy the post office, spread
information about the strike and call for it to follow. Dozens died as the regime ordered the repressive forces to shoot, hundreds were
arrested, and seven were sentenced to death for "banditry." And under the red banners and with the shouts of "The Way to the Working Class!"

Authentic left-wing protests cost freedom and life in the Soviet Union, but faith in the power of the workers persisted. And that lesson for
today? Let us give the floor once again to Vadim Damier: "In the daily struggle for their rights, people are able not only to defend their
interests and dignity, but also to gather the experience necessary to bring their activities to a whole new level of self-organization and
self-government." to be necessarily the object of power games - which is instructive especially for our local passive and fatalistic
society, which thoughtlessly accepts right-wing propaganda and repeats it when it lets its skin rub.

The role of anarchists

The role of anarchists in the Great Russian Revolution and their fate is to some extent sought to be mediated by the texts in the anarchist
review Existence No. 4/2017. In them you can find a summary of the progress of the Russian radical left in the revolutionary year of 1917,
as well as the story of the anarchist Drugov, who personally conquered the Winter Palace and was most confused by the shot from Aurora. At
least in a nutshell, the impressions of the results of the Great October by Emma Goldman and Alexander Berkman and the story of the sisters
who became anarchists under the Tsar and only after the collapse of the USSR could begin to tell about their varied lives.

What to add at the end? One typical story from contemporary Russia. Anarchists from the St. Petersburg group Food not Bombs hoisted a pirate
flag on the cruiser Aurora a few years ago and called their happening Memorial Day or the Resurrection of Aurora. They were taken away from
the ship by the police. The cruiser Aurora has been an official symbol of the revolution for decades, and people in Russia still seem to
understand it. That is why, despite efforts to make it an exotic commodity and rent it out for heavy money for the pleasures of a better
society, it eventually became a museum. However, ten years ago, Aurora was decommissioned from battleships, perhaps so that Putin's power
handles would not lie in the stomach, as would a revolution that could deprive former and present tsars of power.

The anniversary of the Great October Revolution will certainly be commemorated by the corporate media as one of the darkest aspects of human
history. Russia is again ruled by capital peculiarly covered by the Kremlin ruler. History is written by the winners. But let's not rewrite
them. The workers lost twice, at the onset of the Bolsheviks and after their fall. Let the revolution of that time be one of the lessons for
us that where there is authority, there is no freedom and that we must not allow others to treat our lives.

Dear anarchists, comrades and Vrije Bond members, ---- It is with great pleasure that we invite you to the third yearly Vrije Bond Congress.
---- The congress will take place from September 3-5, 2021 at the campsite ‘Tot Vrijheidsbezinning' in Appelscha. All members of the Vrije
Bond are invited. The congress is organised on a yearly basis so we can come together and talk about the future of the Vrije Bond and the
wider anarchist movement. We want to mainly create space to discuss plans for the (middle-to-)long term and ideological topics. It is also
the perfect place to meet anarchists and Vrije Bond members from your area or who are interested in the same topics. ---- All Vrije Bond
Members are welcome at the campsite starting from Friday, September 3, onwards. We will inform you later about the exact start and finish of
the informal and formal parts of the programme.

Reader
The congress preparation group will make a reader. Along with all the necessary practical information, this will also contain all the
concrete proposals and discussion texts which have been submitted by members in the run up to the congress. Do you have a proposal or
something you want to discuss during the congress? Send it to us and we will add it to the reader. We will send you an email with more info
about the reader, including a deadline for contributions. But feel free to already start brainstorming/dreaming/writing!

Campsite & practical stuff
The congress will take place at the ‘kampeerterrein Tot Vrijheidsbezinning'. This is an anarchist camping where no alcohol or drugs are used
in Appelscha, Friesland. We want to ask everybody who comes to bring a tent and sleeping gear.

We sincerely hope that in September 2021 the corona virus won't hold our lives in its grip as much as it does now. However, we will take
into account all possible scenarios and do as much as we can to ensure a safe congress.
We hopen dat corona onze levens in september 2021 minder in zijn greep zal houden. Niettemin houden we met alle scenario's rekening en doen
we er alles aan om het congres zo veilig mogelijk te kunnen laten plaatsvinden. Since all 2020 participants proved it possible to have a
feasible and still fun coronaproof congress, we are optimistic about this.

We aim to make the congress as accessible as we can. This is why we ask everybody to leave their dogs at home. Are you unable to sleep in a
tent? Let us know. We can arrange a sleeping place in the bungalow or one of the caravans at the terrain.

Do you have specific needs that we have to take into account? Let us know beforehand what your needs are.

Do you have children you want to bring? Of course you can! We really want to help out in the child care during the congress. It would help
us enormously if we know how many kids and what age they are. Do you have kids you wanna bring? Let us know how many and what age they are,
so we can take this into account when making the children's program. We are also still looking for people who want to help out with the
children's program during the congress.

Organizing a congress is a lot of work. The preparation group is very enthusiastic and energetic, but more helping hands are always nice. Do
you have specific tasks in mind you would like to help out with? Or do you have questions about the congress? Let us know at
vrijebondcongres@riseup.net!

Militant snuggles,
Vrije Bond Congress preparation group
