The health crisis, its cities with deserted streets, where the cops make the law - according to the very apt expression of Raphaël Kempf -,
the state of emergency which tends to become the rule, apps, drones, and other recognition devices facial, 5G and smart-cities, social
atomization via teleworking, the suspicion generated by a "sanitarist " biopolitics»Of all against all (and, in fine, of each against each)
... All this dystopian landscape evokes of course the worst scenarios of science fiction literature. But in the cinema (the best as the

David Cronenberg, Rage , 1977, 87 min.
Mixing science fiction and horror, Rage is emblematic of Cronenberg's first films, we find all its paw in it: the hybrid body, the monster
figure, the virus and its spread, science apprentice witch, the unleashed sexual desire and death.
Of the three films selected, it is the most political: the responses provided by the authorities to the spreading mortal danger are those
pointed out by the philosopher Giorgio Agamben, when, in February 2020, he denounced the establishment of a "permanent state of
exception"which uses fears (after terrorism, the epidemic) to impose increasingly liberticidal security measures. In Rage , the end of the
world is not where you think it is, but in the self-destructive mechanics implemented by humanity itself. The virus acts as a social and
political revealer, much like the zombies in Romero's Night of the Living Dead.
Abel Ferrara, 4:44, Last day on Earth , 2011, 83 min.
In a New York loft, a couple (Willem Dafoe and Shanyn Leigh) await the fateful hour, precisely 4:44 am. Of this programmed end, of its why
and of its how, we will know nothing: that is not the subject. The film is an intimate (confined) dive skilfully mixing anxiety-provoking
expectation and resignation more or less comforted by the physical or virtual presence (via Skype) of loved ones.
How to "live" these last moments, both collective and unique ? Ferrara delivers here one of his most beautiful films.
Béla Tarr, The Horse of Turin , 2011, 146 min.
Let's keep the best, or rather the worst, for the end... The worst, because Béla Tarr's ultimate film, whose content, purpose and form is
impossible to separate, is a grueling film, a borderline film, hypnotic and nightmarish: a masterpiece of a philosophical and ecological fable.
Turin, January 1889: Nietzsche flies to the aid of a poor horse, beaten by a poor coachman. After this trauma scene, the philosopher will
sink into madness and a slow agony from which he will die eleven years later. Well, all of this is known ; but what has become of the horse
? In this world without a world, there is hardly anyone, except a horse, a few gypsies, a neighbor soliloquizing a word straight out of
Zarathustra, and an old man and his daughter locked in one another. No water (the well is dry), no way out (it is impossible to escape, the
outside is everywhere but elsewhere nowhere: there is no longer any outside), nor of season: in the incessant whirling wind, time itself
spins, then freezes, stops.
Tarr pushes the theme of finitude to its smallest folds, in the labyrinthine dead ends of repetition, of a meaningless everyday life,
literally without a future ...

On Thursday 5/11 in the morning we carried out symbolic interventions with sprays and T-shirts in branches of the Tax Office in Thessaloniki
(1st Tax Office building 2, 4th Tax Office building 2, 5th Tax Office, 7th Tax Office). ---- To defend the first home from the predatory
schemes of the new bankruptcy code. ---- For a long time now we have been experiencing an unprecedented health crisis that has exacerbated
the current structural crisis of capitalism. The result of the anti-popular policies implemented is the further economic bleeding of the
working class, which is sinking wider and faster into poverty and misery, but also the continuous proletarianization of part of the former
middle classes. In this treaty the bourgeois political staff, the government, hurried to strengthen the big capital, local and
supranational. Confirmation of the above is the adoption of the new bankruptcy code entitled "Debt settlement and second chance framework".
This is an issue that plays a key role in the restructuring required by capital in order to promote its profitability,
With the new bankruptcy code, natural and legal persons acquire for the first time the "possibility of bankruptcy", ie the possibility to
declare bankruptcy. In this way, the state and the capital can, with any legalization, seize the first residence but also any kind of
property. With this regulation, the unemployed, the employed, the retired, the self-employed are equated in terms of the consequences with
the companies. Of course, for large companies, tools are provided to save their operation and capital. What is essentially provided by the
Bankruptcy Code is the liquidation of the property, so that the individual can get rid of or reduce his debt. This is done on the basis that
he will be able to return to his economic activity after the debt reduction. This is clearly not realistic, as after the declaration of
bankruptcy and until the completion of the procedure the debtor will be able to access amounts that marginally cover his daily needs. Any
other income will go directly to the banks and creditors.
Borrowers who are unable to repay their mortgage will essentially lose their own home. Ownership will be taken over by the Acquisition and
Rental Agency which will decide whether to allow the former owner of the house to continue living in it for a rent. After 12 years, the
bankrupt will be given the opportunity to buy his house, without, however, being counted the money he has paid on loans and rents. The value
of the property is at a price that will be set by the market and the capital. The bank will be free to terminate the contract and proceed
immediately with the auction, in case the former owner does not pay on time 3 in a row monthly rents. This will of course take place within
a month. Fast-track procedures, that is, that poor people are going to escape. At the same time, the acceleration of electronic auctions is
foreseen. In case the electronic auction is not successful, the process will be repeated at the latest after 10 working days, while the
first bid price will be reduced to 1/2 of the initial price and then to 1/3 in case of a new repetition. The guarantors who are considered
co-responsible for the debt of the loan and its repayment will also become bankrupt. while the first offer price will be reduced to 1/2 of
the initial price and then to 1/3 in case of a new repetition. The guarantors who are considered co-responsible for the debt of the loan and
its repayment will also become bankrupt. while the first offer price will be reduced to 1/2 of the initial price and then to 1/3 in case of
a new repetition. The guarantors who are considered co-responsible for the debt of the loan and its repayment will also become bankrupt.
In addition, there are provisions concerning the new out-of-court mechanism, which in addition to business debts also includes private debts
to banks, the tax collection mechanism and the insurance funds. Government agencies and banks will initiate repayment procedures within 30
days. The debtor should be able to present a list of his assets, as they should be liquidated as soon as possible. The Bankruptcy Code
provides for the annulment of all cases that had appealed to previous laws on the protection of the first home and have not been finalized.
Creditors will be able to initiate the debtor's bankruptcy, on the condition that he does not pay 60% of his overdue debts for six months
for non-performing debts over 30,000 euros. If the amount is 100. 000 euros and above, then this is considered a criminal offense and the
debtor will be taken to prison. All this time the government has left the public health system completely hanging, with insufficient health
personnel and very few ICU beds. However, she gave a lot of money to her press spokesmen, to support by all means the police management of
the pandemic, which was in this case the strategy of the state. Those who tell us to stay at home are the ones who methodize the seizure of
the first home of the poor households, in order for the banks to accumulate capital. to support the police management of the pandemic, which

households, in order for the banks to accumulate capital.
Excessive borrowing and unpaid bills are the fruits of the parasitic nature of modern capitalism and the growing impoverishment of the
social base as a result of the sharpening of class antagonisms. A firm strategy of all bourgeois governments is to financially support the
banks as a central factor in the capitalist economy. New Democracy intends to complete the attack on the first residence, which was started
by SY.RIZ.A. We must not forget that the current official opposition is the "left" of capital, it is the party that killed and incorporated
the class resistance, to pass heaps of anti-social and anti-labor measures at the lowest possible political cost to capital. The tales of
SY.RIZ.A. his alleged defense of the first home is a blatant insult to all those who lost their homes and to those who ate wood and
chemicals from the cops outside the courts where first home auctions took place when Tsipras ruled. The state has continuity and unwavering
service to the interests of capital.
It is the working class that is once again called upon to bear the brunt of the health and capitalist crisis under the fierce neoliberal
policies of the New Democracy. The working class, however, has incomparable power in its hands, because the whole capitalist mode of
production is based on it, on the exploitation of its labor power. All that remains is for the working world to realize the community of its
class interests and the liberating dynamics it can unleash based on its collective forces, self-organization and mutual aid, in order to
transform existing social and productive relations and put an end to exploitation. oppression of man by man.
The chains are in our hands and we drag them every day. They are starvation wages, the deregulation of the working environment, the
devaluation of work and the undermining of our living conditions, our inability to meet basic needs, unemployment, poverty, misery, impunity
and revenge of bosses and their political representatives in the governing bodies of the state apparatus, the repression, persecution and
imprisonment of those who fight. So we have nothing to lose but our chains, since we are the ones at the base of the social and productive
pyramid,
To put a brake on state-capital plans. Do not allow the seizure of our homes. To organize the proletarian self-defense and counterattack.

Our comrades from FGWM (Federation of Garment Workers Myanmar) and Solidarity Centre inform us that many textile companies in the country
are using union-busting strategies since after the summer. With the excuse of Covid-19, many unions members have been fired, security
personnel in the factories have been involved in attacks and assaults, and the companies have often taken other measures to hinder workers'
organisation. These are not isolated cases, but rather a phenomenon that is repeated in many factories, with a similar pattern. Some of the
cases reported include: ---- - Amber Stone Factory: 270 union members were fired in September. They had demanded health and safety measures
to protect from Covid-19, such as ¡access to clean drinking water in the factory!, together with the payment of back wages. This factory
works for brands like Springfield and Guess Jeans.

Solidarity with Dragon Group workers spreads across the globe
- VIP Factories: these are two factories owned by the same company. In the first, all union members were fired, while in the other, most of
them were. Similarly, one of their main demands was the introduction of health and safety measures to curb the pandemic.
- Myan Htat Pin Factory: union representatives were dismissed.
It is obvious that companies are trying to take advantage of the social distancing measures decreed by the country's government and use them
for union busting. Right now, assemblies, wildcat strikes and rallies at the factories' gates, usual methods of organization and struggle
for FGWM, are banned, as the number of people in any meeting is limited to 6 by law. This does not prevent thousands from crowding into the
factories on each shift, though.
Covid-19 is just an excuse used by the companies to unleash a wave of union repression against a very militant organization that had been
growing strongly in the sector. In fact, often what triggers the dismissals are precisely demands for basic health and safety measures.
Also, new workers are hired immediately to replace dismissed union members. Clearly, the mantra of reduced workloads in the factories is not
true.
As you would expect, our FGWM comrades do not just suffer helplessly these attacks by the bosses. From the very first moment, they have been
fighting with determination to stop them, using all the tools at their disposal. They can be certain of the support and solidarity from the
International Labour Confederation, ICL, and its sections in this struggle.
Stop union busting in Myanmar! Union members back on the shop floor! International solidarity against attacks by the bosses!

In the vicious stubbornness of the powers that be in various states, which, despite growing indignation and protests, are now introducing
new measures of "quarantines", "lockdowns" and "self" isolation, it is easiest to see hysteria and a stupid unwillingness to lose face. In
reality, however, it must be recognized that all these actions serve as a means for Capital in order to increase the onslaught on working
people and increase their exploitation. "Biopolitical" ideology covers up and substantiates a new stage of the violent class war "from
above". ---- These processes of attack on the standard of living of working people can be observed even in the most "prosperous" countries.
For example, in Germany, according to the Hans Böckler Trade Union Institute, the greatest material losses were suffered by people with low
incomes, micro-employed and precarious workers, as well as migrant workers. In April and the end of June, 6,000 people were interviewed, and
32% of them admitted that their incomes had decreased; among those who receive a maximum of 900 euros per month, such 48%, among those
receiving more than 4500 euros - only 27%. Meanwhile, the new restrictions imposed in Germany now will lead to the loss of 100 thousand
jobs, with the micro-employed being the most affected, since they do not have unemployment insurance (
https://www.jungewelt.de/artikel/389404.wirtschaftskrise- armutsfalle-shu ... ).
In the United States, the real number of Americans who lost their jobs during the epidemic exceeds 20 million, Heidi Schirholz of the
Economic Policy Institute calculated.
In total, in the world, according to the International Labor Organization, the number of working hours worked in the world at the peak of
the spring-summer wave of diseases decreased by the equivalent of 500 thousand jobs, and earnings - by 10% ( https://www.bbc. com / russian
/ features-54462688 ).
At the same time, the profits of the richest entrepreneurs are growing at a record pace. In France alone, the savings of the richest 10% of
people during the "quarantine" have grown by half ( https://www.rtl.fr/actu/debats-societe/covid-19-l-epargne-a-profite-aux-. .. ).
The shift to "remote" and part-time employment with wage cuts and the dismissal of "surplus" workforce under the pretext of "lockdown"
allows entrepreneurs to reduce their labor costs and save money on the introduction of competitive technical and organizational innovations.
Reports of this "realignment" of companies come from a wide variety of places. In other words, Capital, as usual, solves economic problems
at the expense of its class enemy - Labor.

Last Thursday, November 5, opponents of the LNG Quebec project decided to issue another warning to the promoters and shareholders who are
already salivating at the idea of raking in the millions in profit once the gas pipeline and the 'factory will be put into operation. This
time, the warning was meant to be a little more powerful. After all, these people only understand the language of profit and money, so this
is where you have to attack. To do this, the defenders of the Land of the Innu people as well as their allies blocked the Roberval-Saguenay
railway line for nearly an hour, forcing the Canadian National (CN) to suspend its operations[1]. Even if the action was aimed more
specifically at GNL Québec, it is important to remember that it is this railway, including the portion that was blocked yesterday near
Talbot Boulevard in Chicoutimi, which BlackRock Metals wants to use to transport its ore from around Chibougamau to the port of Grande-Anse
in La Baie. The message of the action is clear: there will be no extractivist projects on the unceded territory of Nitassinan. Ransacking
the land and the life therein is not an option, even if developers are dangling greenbacks and a handful of jobs in return. As long as the
LNG Quebec project is not canceled, actions like this one will multiply and increase in intensity. Despite the suspension of operations, the
mobilization of several police officers, including 6 patrol officers and CN employees, the action had a strong symbolic flavor.
The first warning is given, the rest will come.
[1]The Roberval-Saguenay railway is owned by Rio Tinto, but Canadian National uses part of the network, among others between Jonquière and
La Baie.

The struggle we support will reveal to millions how capitalism and human needs are diametrically opposed concepts. It will give a boost to
power that could do something about it. It may be the beginning of a revolutionary movement. ---- The virus that causes COVID-19 seems to be
finally under control in Australia. In the northern hemisphere, however, it is a completely different matter. As the northern hemisphere
progresses in the fall, the diagnosed cases increase sharply and reach record levels in much of Europe and elsewhere. Hospitals are filling
up fast and many governments that had opened their national economies are locking them up again. Deaths have risen sharply in the past month
and are expected to rise further.
We have learned a lot from last year about SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. The death rate is slightly lower than it used to be
in the beginning, but it is still much higher than a common flu. Re-infection, although possible, was rare. Most worrying, however, is that
recovery from the virus does not mean recovery from the disease. A significant minority infected with COVID-19 sometimes experience severe
effects in the last few months after clearing the infection. Some results may be permanent. In addition, it seems that the immunity gained
from virus capture and recovery can be short-lived.
The result is that the COVID-19 pandemic is an ongoing catastrophe to which capitalists in most countries have no effective response.
Elimination or repression has been achieved in only a few countries. So far, there is no vaccine and no guarantee that it will be effective
enough in the medium term, let alone soon. Moreover, even the criminal policies advocated by the hard Right would not work. Surviving the
virus will not save the capitalist economy even at the cost of the death of the elderly and the sick. Instead, recurring waves of the virus
will impose increased ill health and disability on the workforce. In the meantime,
What does it take to beat the virus?
SARS-CoV-2 is spread mainly through close contact, so until the virus is sufficiently suppressed, we must minimize contact between people
who do not live in the same household. At this point, it can be treated through tests on potentially infected individuals, isolating and
detecting their contacts. Until then, as much economic and social activity as possible should be carried out remotely or stopped.
Under capitalism, this strategy has catastrophic economic consequences. Turnover is declining on a massive scale and huge losses are
accumulating. The normal relationship between the facts base of the productive economy of goods and services and the time base of the
parasitic economy of rent and interest is broken. Government responses to channel the crisis are raising public debt to unprecedented levels
that threaten the solvency of states. So instead of paying everyone to stay home and not spread the virus, most governments took half a step
or, after imposing a lock, opened up the economy before the virus was defeated.
A libertarian communist society would not have such conflicting motives. Without profit incentives, the production of unnecessary goods and
services could be stopped and all the necessary resources could be reallocated to support the healthcare system. Physical distance
restrictions could be developed on a grassroots basis with the help of expert advice and have a greater social context, eliminating the need
for police enforcement. And, most importantly, any appropriate social support could be given to alleviate the difficulties of isolation.
The present task
To defeat this pandemic, the working class needs a program of struggle to attack the power of the capitalists, which stands in the way of an
effective social response to public health. Consequently, the Melbourne Anarchist Communist Group (Melbourne Anarchist Communist Group)
supports the following program in advanced countries where the virus has not yet been suppressed:
* There must be no work without security. Adequate physical distance to all workplaces, adequate staff, personal protective equipment and
training, closure of non-essential industries where physical distance is impossible.
* Sustainable income for everyone. Full pay for all licensed workers, pandemic leave for all, as long as needed, as often as needed,
unemployment benefits at the minimum wage where they do not already exceed it.
* Housing insurance. Cancellation of rents and mortgages throughout the pandemic, forced eviction, housing of the homeless.
* Free and adequate health care for all.
Employees must fight for this program in their workplace. Health and safety committees need to be set up at the base to link them together.
They must deny unsafe conditions and, where possible, immediately impose appropriate health and safety measures. They also have to deal with
union officials and dilemmas: either support the struggle or put it aside.
The struggle we support will reveal to millions how capitalism and human needs are diametrically opposed concepts. It will give a boost to
power that could do something about it. It may be the beginning of a revolutionary movement.
FIGHT THE VIRUS! NO SAFETY, NO WORK!

provides for the annulment of all cases that had appealed to previous laws on the protection of the first home and have not been finalized.
