Women Farming Palm Oil Are Being Raped And Sexually Abused While Top Beauty Brands Profit Sign Now Dear friends, Women and girls working to farm palm oil in Malaysia and Indonesia are being subjected to constant sexual misconduct, both by coworkers and employers. Palm oil farming is terrible for the environment and its animal inhabitants; now we know it's horrible for the people involved too! Sign this petition to protect the women working on palm oil plantations! Women are speaking out about this sexual abuse and describing how they are taken into remote parts of the palm oil plantantions by their bosses and raped, sometimes with an ax to their throats and no one to hear them scream. Girls as young as 13 are being forced to endure this torture and there is currently no law in place to stop this from happening or hold anyone accountable. Yet the palm oil they are farming is purchased and used by beauty companies shouting messages of female empowerment to consumers!
