On 11 November 2020, dozens of people around the world expressed their support
for persecuted anarchists from Belarus. ---- As part of the week of solidarity
with the anarchists and anti-fascists imprisoned in Belarus, which we also
reported on , events took place in different parts of the world. The Anarchist
Federation (AF) also joined the call. Greetings were sent to Mikol Dziadok ,
whose current address we finally know (Grandfather). AF published on its website
an excerpt from the book of the persecuted Mikola, which is called Parallel World
in Color and in May 2018 it was published in Czech by Nakladatelství AF. In
addition, anarchists in Vysoké Mýto expressed their solidarity with imprisoned
friends in the form of graffiti.
Other expressions of solidarity were reported to our Belarusian comrades from
Austria (Salzburg and Vienna), Paris, Swedish Stockholm, Poland from Warsaw,
Katowice, Lublin and Gdansk, the capital of Great Britain London, the USA from
Richmond and Seattle, from Russia from Moscow, St. Petersburg and Perm in the
Urals, from Switzerland from Bern, from Israel from Tel Aviv, from Germany from
Bremen and Leipzig, from Helsinki in Finland and from Ahtén in Greece. The event
took place directly in Belarus in the city of Lida.

The nation state creates the illusion that the people who live within certain
physical borders are united politically, economically, and culturally. However,
this is not the case and belief in this illusion has led to many in the working
class to support their rulers and bosses more than their fellow workers who are
not identified as belonging to this nation.
Nationalism, Internationalism, and Identity Politics; Libertarian Communism 2020
will consider all these issues, aiming to find ways of combatting nationalism and
working towards a working class internationalism. Speakers will address the
question of nationalism generally and then the next speakers will focus on
nationalism in Catalonia (with a speaker from the CNT in Spain) and in Scotland.

The Hazard Campaign is a trade union campaign which has launched a Zero-Covid
strategy. Speaker after speaker stressed the role workplaces play in the spread
of the disease.
The main problem is the issue of ventilation and aerosols; in workplaces with
poor ventilation, the virus can spread to all the workforce, even if they are
social distancing. Therefore, it logically follows that the workplace is the key
arena of struggle. If non-essential workplaces can be shut down or made Covid-
secure, then we are a long way to getting Covid 19 under control.

The campaign interviews Rachel who works in residential care. Her experience
shows the challenges faced by care workers working with the vulnerable at this
difficult time. We also interview Mike who works to advise people with a
disability. These experiences show the dedication of these workers who do this
work for so little money.
This is a campaign to be led by workers trying to keep themselves and others safe
at work in the time of Covid 19. We know that the working class cannot rely on
employers or the government to keep us safe.

There is a lot of excellent anarchist material online but we are concerned this
does not reach a wide enough audience. We also need hard copy material to reach
those who may not consider looking at anarchist websites like our own. During the
coronavirus pandemic we have produced several pamphlets and stickers. We are also
working on other material which will be either free or sold at low prices to
campaign for fundamental changes in how we organise things like food production,
work and health.
Our aim is to publish pamphlets, a free newspaper, a magazine, and stickers to
promote radical social change during and after the pandemic.

David Rappe tells about the militant youth of Bernard Pensiot (1948-2018), an
active libertarian in the Parisian regions and then, above all, in Perpignan and
Lyon. He does this through his involvement in the anti-Franco struggle of the
years 1970-1975; the libertarian renewal during the misnamed "democratic
transition" is also widely discussed. David Rappe, and Bernard Pensiot, we recall
that it is the extreme right in power who organized the attachment of the
post-Franco Spain to capitalism of the late 20 th century. In October 1977, the
La Moncloa pacts, bringing together almost all political and trade union
organizations (except the CNT) were the culmination of this.
If during these years, there was indeed a return to the forefront of ideas and
libertarian movements, it was also the time of "disappointed hopes", in
particular around the difficult reconstruction of the CNT: criminalization,
police provocations, repression, but also internal clashes, weighed heavily. The
discrepancy of most of the historical leaders of 1936 with the reality of the
1970s, but also a certain anar folklore not very operative in terms of mass
movement, contributed to it.
One of the originalities of the book is to focus on the Coordination of Prisoners
in Struggle (Copel) in which Bernard Pensiot participated during his detention in
the "democratic" jails of the Kingdom of Spain. Born in the Madrid prison of
Carabanchel in 1976, what would quickly become the Coordinadora de presos en
lucha, demanded a general amnesty, well beyond that decided by the political
parties organizing post-Franco.
Hunger strikes, self-mutilation, demonstrations, delegates elected by the
prisoners, but also extreme violence by the state's repressive forces will mark
these years of anti-prison struggle. Fruit of the balance of power created at a
given moment, is evoked an, obviously ambiguous, "self-management of the jail".
Before, during and after prison, Bernard Pensiot acts in libertarian circles of
course ; but we also learn about contacts with the Basques of ETA. Regarding the
Copel, we can also see the film La Visite (crowdfunding on Ulule.com), which is
scheduled for release in 2021.
Among those who testify in this documentary, there is in particular Henri Melich
whom we meet at the turn of the pages of Disappointed Hope, and whose Spartacus
editions have just published Guérilleros, France 1944 - Une contre -quête . Two
books and soon a film: here is something useful to occupy ...

Anarchists from the Okupa Rozbrat in Poznan, along with other groups, managed to
prevent the eviction of the neighboring urban gardens "ROD Bogdanka". ---- As
loteamentos.
Over the years, the municipality of Poznan has tried to claim the land, but so
far they have not been very lucky. In the meantime, the land has become a
privileged property for contractors and has dramatically increased its monetary
value. The contractors, of course, plan to turn it into some form of an elegant
"regeneration" project and have been chasing both the lot holders and the Rozbrat
okupas for them to move. Last year, there were reports of arson in the plots, and
the company Darex has also been threatening the owners of the plots with
absolutely overwhelming financial penalties if they choose to maintain their
gardens. Through these methods, they managed to intimidate many people to leave
their plots: however, some still remain.
The eviction attempt occurred yesterday morning, when Darex, with the assistance
of the police, appeared with the intention of cleaning the space to get it ready
for the so-called reform. This triggered an immediate resistance from anarchists,
environmental groups, groups of tenants and the landowners themselves. An
improvised direct action was organized with people blocking contractors and the
police from reaching the land. After an impasse, Darex and the police had to give
up their forced eviction attempt: at least for now.
According to the statement released by Rozbrat this morning:
We were prepared for the arrival of businessmen. Thanks to the joint mobilization
of the owners of the gardens, groups of tenants and anarchists, it was possible
to prevent the plan to demolish the buildings existing here.
Darex is a peculiar entity: in the past 30 years, it has not carried out any real
commercial activity. The company appeared in 1990 to "buy" the land of the then
state property, for a tenth of its value, to take a loan ten times larger and
disappear. However, she did not buy the land from the state, but from a private
individual who also disappeared afterwards. (...)
Today, the Darex thugs are back to life. Under its shadow, some contractors want
to take over this part of Poznan, which is now worth much more than thirty years ago.
In practice, Rozbrat and the lot holders are in the same boat. Only by joining
forces will we free this land and the rest of Poznan from the waves of
privatization. A busy winter and spring are coming, as Darex will certainly not
give up.

Lies, misinformation and dirty plans of the PDK endanger stability and security
in Kurdistan ---- We reproduce the report of the Kurdish Initiative against the
Turkish invasion of South Kurdistan of November 2020, translated by Rojava Azadi
Madrid ---- Since the liberation of South Kurdistan from Saddam's rule in 1991,
the KDP (Kurdistan Democratic Party) has done everything possible to curtail the
freedoms of the Kurds and abuse the Kurdish cause for their own family and tribal
interests. He instigated a 6-year long civil war with the PUK (Patriotic Union of
Kurdistan), the PKK (Kurdistan Workers' Party) and other factions that lasted
until 1998. After 2003 he has monopolized power in his hands and has used to take
control of all spheres of economic, political and social life. This has led to
widespread corruption, favoritism, poverty, brain drain, and emigration.
Journalists and opposition figures who dared to discuss these issues in public
were vilified, kidnapped, imprisoned and murdered, including Serdesht Osman
(2010), Wedat Huseyin (2016) and Soran Mame Heme (2008), to name just a few. The
regional parliament, which wanted to make some reforms in the system's policy,
was even suspended, and its spokesperson was even banned from Erbil.
This has further aggravated the situation for the people. People do not receive
their wages, while the KDP exports more than half a million barrels of oil to
Turkey, monopolizing the economic benefits at the border gates. Money earned from
oil sales is illegally transferred to foreign banks and used to buy property
abroad for members of the Barzani family. People, who cannot relate or speak,
from time to time take to the streets to demand their rights (in Duhok, Zakho and
Sheladize), being repressed, more and more fiercely, by the pro-KDP forces and
taken to prison in Big number.
On November 1, 2020, the families of the prisoners called on human rights
organizations and NGOs to support their demands and help end pressure from the
KDP. According to this call for help, from August 13, 2020 until now, 280 people
have been arrested by KDP forces. Most have been tortured and forced to sign that
they will remain silent in the face of all KDP practices. 17 of them are still in
jail, their whereabouts unknown. As these difficulties have not been enough, the
KDP has shielded the entry of the Turkish army up to 40 km within the borders of
the KRG (Kurdistan Regional Government) and has helped it to build almost 50
military bases, dozens of MIT intelligence services and bases of recognition. The
KDP considers the Turkish military and intelligence presence in Kurdistan as an
insurance to preserve its kleptocracy over the people. For 13 years, the Turkish
army and intelligence have hovered over the mountains, towns and cities of
Kurdistan, and we have witnessed daily airstrikes on Kurdish lands. These
attacks, carried out under the pretext of the fight against the PKK, have only
added difficulties to the situation of the people.
The people of South Kurdistan are already fed up with all the corruption,
poverty, favoritism, and especially the KDP's cooperation with the arch-enemy of
the Kurdish people, Erdogan of Turkey. Running populist campaigns, such as the
2017 independence referendum and subsequent U-turns, have failed to provide the
KDP with much-needed legitimacy.
Knowing these facts, the KDP attempts to legitimize the Turkish invasion of South
Kurdistan and Iraq by instigating psychological wars and provocations against the
PKK. The KDP has already promoted a campaign of demonization and criminalization
of the PKK through its mega-media and diplomatic resources. Failing to achieve
the desired results, it is now issuing false reports about alleged PKK plans to
assassinate KRG officials and foreign diplomats in Erbil. The KDP has not been
able to prove any of these accusations, and to their surprise, they have had a
boomerang effect, revealing to the public and international actors the plots and
conspiracies planned by the Turkish MIT and Parastin, the KDP intelligence
service. Then,
Location of Turkish military bases in South Kurdistan
PKK: Kurdish internal war is avoidable
In an October 27 interview, Murat Karayilan, commander-in-chief of HPG (People's
Defense Forces), commented on the recent events in South Kurdistan. Regarding the
murder of Ghazi Salih, head of security at a border crossing in Duhok province,
he made it clear: " Immediately after the incident, the PKK was said to be
responsible. We were surprised by these statements, so we began our own
investigation. In the meantime, we can definitely rule out any involvement of our
members. If the KDP were able to back up its claims with evidence, it would have
done so long ago . Regarding the latest KDP troop movements in Garê and the
threat of an internal Kurdish war, he stressed: «Nobody within our movement wants
that. It is important that this is understood by our counterpart. We are not
afraid of war; after all, we fight the enemy every day. But starting an internal
Kurdish war is not what we want. "Karayilan emphasized:" The existing association
between the Barzani-dominated KDP and Turkey, as well as the political and
intelligence relations between the two, serve neither the government in Hewlêr
(Erbil) nor the Kurdish people. On the contrary, they expose all Kurds to great
danger . '
Masoud Barzani: Leave South Kurdistan
In an official statement on October 2, 2020, Masoud Barzani responded to the
PKK's call for peace. Unfortunately, he did not fall short in his numerous
accusations against the PKK, thus increasing the already existing tensions. He
claimed that " PKK fighters invaded these border areas[Sinjar region and
Turkish-Iraqi border regions], and then some others, instead of supporting the
KRG experience ." He added, " They imposed their authority in place of
the[Kurdistan Regional]government, and prevented the people from rebuilding their
villages. Also,[the villagers]were forced to pay when they went to their own
areas . " While underlining that «we are proud to have decreed haram[forbidden by
religion]that we engage in intra-Kurdish struggle, because everyone, including
the people of Kurdistan, has lost a lot in struggles and conflicts . He warned
that " this position must not be misinterpreted and exploited to challenge the
legal authority of the KRG and impose illegal and military intentions on the
people of Kurdistan ." Finally, he asked the PKK to leave South Kurdistan: " The
best position to assume is to respect the legitimate and legal authority of
the[Kurdistan]region and to abandon all those areas that it has invaded by force,
putting the lives of the people at risk. KRG people.»
KCK: PDK politics is dangerous
In an interview on October 2, 2020, Besê Hozat, Co-Chair of the Executive Council
of the KCK (Union of Democratic Communities of Kurdistan), clarified the official
position of the KCK on the current tensions in South Kurdistan. Regarding the
current Turkish military intervention, he warned: "Turkey is waging a war of
extermination. The current position of the KDP must be evaluated in this context.
Turkey wants to destroy all Kurdish achievements. Through the Kurdish genocide he
wants to establish a new regime as a Turkish-Islamic synthesis. His goal for 2023
is to establish a regime of religious fanaticism, nationalism and racism. For
this purpose, among others, an occupation attack is being carried out in South
Kurdistan. Hundreds of civilians have already lost their lives. Military bases
are being built everywhere the Turkish state reaches. Step by step, it is
intended to occupy the entire region up to Kirkuk and annex South Kurdistan . He
added that " this attack is being carried out with the support of the KDP ."
He noted that the regular Peshmerga forces were not deployed due to their
unwillingness to participate in an internal war in Kurdistan: 'The Peshmerga do
not want to go there, they do not want to participate in the occupation attacks
on the defense zones of Medya. Neither the population nor the Peshmerga want
that. For this reason, Zerevan units are stationed at the Gare. This is a special
unit. The Peshmerga units that were previously dispatched to the defense zones of
Medya will be withdrawn and instead the Zerevan will be deployed. This is a
special unit of the Barzani family. The KDP knows that the Peshmerga do not want
to participate in this war. Therefore, the KDP and Turkey have developed a
special plan. Zerevan units are stationed where the Turkish state cannot invade.
They are deployed between the guerrilla areas to interrupt the connection of the
different areas.»
Besê Hozat also referred to the position of the other two parties of the
Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG): More recently, the PUK[Patriotic Union of
Kurdistan]has commented on the situation. Sedi Pire said that the Turkish state
has occupied Behdinan and the PUK does not know what the KDP has agreed with the
AKP / MHP government of Turkey. The PUK sees the danger of an occupation of South
Kurdistan. Gorran and other organizations have also expressed concern, asking
what is going on. He launched a call to the KDP to refrain from taking
provocative steps and avoid an internal Kurdish war: «The current situation is
extremely dangerous. We currently have the impression that the KDP wants to carry
out a comprehensive attack together with the Turkish state. A joint declaration
of war with Turkey is a very dangerous plan. This would mean the end of the KDP
and the destruction of all achievements in the south and other parts of
Kurdistan. With the implementation of this plan, South Kurdistan would lose its
status as an autonomous region. The KDP must refrain from this dangerous policy
because it will cause all Kurds to lose their status. The Kurdish people should
not have to experience such a tragedy again . '
Protect the political revenues of the Kurds
This short report clearly shows that the lies spread by the KDP are part of a
smear campaign against the PKK. This campaign has two objectives:
Build the basis for an internal Kurdish war and create a justification for the
planned attacks;
Provide a base for the occupation of South Kurdistan, as planned by the Turks for
years.
We believe that these two goals will be of great harm first of all to the KDP
itself, but also to the Kurdish people and their friends. The KDP cannot find any
support for these policies from the people of South Kurdistan and the Kurdish
people as a whole. In fact, the PUK, an ally of the KDP government, has also
publicly stated that it had no prior information and that it did not agree with
the KDP's previously made claims. The KDP had accused the PKK of planning attacks
on representatives of foreign states and governments in South Kurdistan. The KCK
has also rejected the lies of the KDP and declared that these lies and intentions
have been intended to serve to hide the crimes of the PDK and provide a basis for
a new war.
The people of Kurdistan categorically reject the war preparations of the KDP. He
has called on the KDP to stop collaborating with the Turkish state and take the
necessary measures against the Turkish occupation of South Kurdistan.
Based on the latest developments, we ask you not to believe the KDP's lies and
smears and to use your influence to pressure the KDP. We ask you to take a clear
stance against the KDP's plans, which endanger stability and security in Kurdistan.

This is a campaign to be led by workers trying to keep themselves and others safe

does not reach a wide enough audience.

Build the basis for an internal Kurdish war and create a justification for the
planned attacks;
