We, at Forbidden Colours, have the ambition to bring equality to every class room in Europe. That's why earlier this year, we co-funded an LGBTI Friendly School Ranking in Poland. The project engaged a lot of teenagers and attracted a lot of media attention across the country.
The LGBTI Friendly School Ranking is an online platform where students can rate their secondary school on inclusiveness for LGBTI students.
The success of the Polish project is why we decided that it has to be enrolled in other EU member states as well. And we want to start in Belgium.
Why Belgium? Over the last months media reported that teenagers murdered a gay person and on IDAHOBIT teenagers beated up one of their class mates for being LGBTIQ. Belgium also hosts the headquarters of the European Commission. And we want to attract their attention with this project so we can eventually roll it out to the whole European Union.
That's why we need your help. You can donate from €5. Donations above €40 are handled by Belgium's biggest philantropy organisation, the King Baudouin Foundation, and receive a 40% tax cut in many European countries. |
