Dear friends –
Last time we reached out to you from Italy, we broke the news that, after a long fight, a bill protecting LGBT+ people from hate passed in the Italian Lower House.
That was 8 months ago – and since then, the bill has been stuck in the Senate.
During Pride month, the Vatican took an unprecedented move and spoke out against the bill. But thanks to donations from All Out members, we were able to drown out their hate and light up Rome with a huge message demanding a swift approval of the law!
And today, the Italian Senate has finally started debating the bill.
This is good news, but the fight is far from over: Our opponents are trying to sabotage the law with a shameful compromise excluding trans people from the protection they deserve, and there's even a risk this much needed bill will be buried for good.
Luc, I need to show Italian Senators that the world is watching.
More than 94,000 All Out members have already signed our petition. But even more pressure is needed for the Senate to vote YES. Will you help me?Click here to add your name TODAY.
Thanks for going All Out!
