This morning we challenged the Movement for Life, the "Taliban" of our latitudes.

against all fundamentalisms! ---- The women of RAWA - the Revolutionary
Association of Afghan Women - have launched an appeal for a day of global action
on September 25 in support of the struggle to "put an end to imperialism,
militarism, fascism and religious fundamentalism". ---- We have decided to accept
the appeal of this network of women who, since 1977, have fought against the
Soviet invaders, against the fundamentalists of the Northern Alliance, against
the Taliban and against the military occupation of NATO, because, beyond beyond
the differences between a democratic and anarchic approach, in recent decades
they have represented the tenacious resistance against those who have tried to
subdue them, bend them, or put them under protection with a paternalistic and
neocolonial approach.
The life and freedom of women represent the litmus test of a clash of
civilizations staged for decades, by both the Taliban and the NATO governments.
In 2020 the fascist misogynist Trump made an agreement with the Taliban then
signed by his successor Biden where the only condition required for the
withdrawal of NATO troops was the commitment not to strike NATO countries. The
surrender was without other conditions.
The status of women was never on the negotiating table, because it was an
"internal" affair.
Despite this, the slavery and violence that is affecting Afghan women is, once
again, a propaganda tool on the superiority of Western civilization. An alibi to
justify twenty years of war and very hard military occupation.
RAWA women have never greeted NATO troops as liberators, aware that the life and
freedom of Afghan women was a mere flagship, not a real goal.
For women and girls who, especially in the cities, had managed to obtain some
margin of autonomy, there is no room, if not in risk and struggle, as
demonstrated by the demonstrations that filled the Afghan squares.
Wars of "civilization" are fought on two fronts. Obviously the Afghan emirate
marked its victory by subduing women, the real battleground on which this last
phase of the war ends.
The spotlights are gradually fading.
In Afghanistan and in the feminist diaspora, many women and girls will continue
to fight clandestinely, who in almost fifty years have passed the baton, weaving
a web that is sometimes invisible but with a powerful texture.
Today we decided that the best way to support Afghan women was to actively
challenge the fundamentalists of our home, that "movement for life" that has been
leading a crusade against free women for decades.
The paths of female freedom are under constant attack by those who would like to
re-propose a naturalizing vision of genders, which identifies motherhood as a
destiny from which women should not escape, returning docile to the family cage.
The denial of non-conforming identities, the enslavement of women is
indispensable for the reaffirmation of the family, the political and ethical
nucleus of the patriarchy in our latitudes. The family is the fortress around
which identity and sovereign groupings claim to re-found a hierarchical and
excluding political and social order.
Feminisms have gone through, shaking them to their roots, the still, repeated,
obsessive times of the feminine. A real revolution, so powerful that the Catholic
political and cultural bloc tries by every means to block it.
In Piedmont, the Cirio junta considers women to be weak subjects, unable to
decide, to be placed under protection. For this reason, in the last year it has
established that anti-abortion associations enter hospitals and counseling centers.
They want to make it more and more difficult for women to carry out voluntary
termination of pregnancy. They consider us lost incubators, to be controlled and
convinced. With no real will, we can be brought back on the right path by the
same Fascist Catholics who support the wars that kill so many boys and girls, but
demand that women continue to have children for their homeland and nation.
Women are one of the many borders on which the war for ethnic purity is fought,
the restoration of patriarchy, the imposition of a hierarchical order, based on
an essentialist approach, which claims to nail women to the role of mothers.
If you look beyond the warped mirror of propaganda, the distance between Italy
and Afghanistan becomes shorter. Religious fundamentalisms play their game in the
enslavement of women at every latitude of the planet.
But ... Free women generate themselves, they put themselves back into the world,
they live a new time. In Kabul as in Turin.
