 Dear friends –

My name is M.*, and my friend's name is R.* We are emailing you from Kabul, Afghanistan.

We are Afghan and gay, and we live in fear and danger.

Ever since the Taliban took over our homeland, life has become like a prison for both of us.

Threats of death by stoning and abuse of LGBT+ people have become much greater than before. We are in a very dangerous situation. We are afraid, and we may die.

But there is hope. An LGBT+ organization called ILGA Asia has the means to get emergency resources to people like us, while we await resettlement. And they're partnering with All Out to try and raise the funds to do it.

Can you donate today to help provide urgent aid to LGBT+ Afghans like us?

Your gift today will pay for food, shelter, medication, and other emergency resources for at least the next month for 29 LGBT+ people – including us – trapped here in Afghanistan and waiting for safe passage to another country.

Before hearing about the work that ILGA Asia is doing, we had no hope of survival. But they're also working with international partners to ultimately get LGBT+ people like us safely relocated.

One day, we could live a life free of constant fear and danger. In the meantime, many of us are too afraid to even leave the house.

Under the Taliban rule, we both should be punished by death. On top of that, we fear that if our families know about us, they will kill us because of their faith. We have both already suffered abuse and beatings.

This is our last resort. If we don't get urgent help, we will be killed.
