THURSDAY NOVEMBER 11 STATUE OF VENIZELOS AT 12:00 ---- In the last month,
teachers have been going on mass strikes - abstentions from internal and externalevaluation with percentages that reached 95%, with large demonstrations thatgathered a large number of teachers, pupils, students. The introduction ofevaluation in teachers is a permanent law that the state wants to impose in thefield of education. Consequently, there was a severe repression of theeducational struggles, with attacks by the MAT on educational demonstrations,with the declaration of their strike as illegal, with the imposition of finesworth 3,000 euros on the striking teachers. November 11 is the deadline for thesubmission of the evaluation deadline and the teachers are calling for a mass strike.Evaluation is an integral part of educational restructuring, as it aims, on theone hand, to subjugate teachers and target their trade union action and, on theother, to merge school departments and close schools.A central part of the educational restructuring is also the Law of KerameosChrysochoidis 4777, which aims at the complete privatization of public educationand the discipline of students. Cops in the schools, deletions, entrance cards,disciplinary, minimum admission base, equalization of public university degreeswith the degrees of private colleges.Already the minimum admission base has thrown 35,000 students out of schools,further intensifying the class barriers to education and paving the way for themerger and abolition of educational institutions. The students, reacting to thespecific law, through their collective processes, carried out mass occupationsand demonstrations, which were suppressed by the state with distance educationand threats of absences.Today, the universities are open without the university police OPPI, as studentswith their struggles through months of squatting of faculties and rector'soffices, assemblies and demonstrations, all the previous period, managed tosuspend its establishment. However, state control in universities becomes visiblethrough the security guards at the entrances of the faculties and the display ofpassports and identities, but also with threats of disciplinary action. Onceagain it becomes clear that the state does not provide health and freedom, onlydeath and terrorism, as under the pretext of the pandemic health control, itcreates the vestibule for a police-controlled university, the cops, the entrancecards, the face control, of submission. This can be seen from the suffocatinglyfull amphitheaters, the resumption of distance learning, the non-recruitment ofteachers. Therefore, it turns out that the state mechanism is beingreconstructed, escalating its repressive methods, through distance education,repression of demonstrations, threats of discipline and fines, calls for DNAtests on squatting militants.The state policy for education is specific: the degradation of public educationand the discipline of pupils, students, teachers. The state and capital in goodcooperation, are constantly updating education, according to their requirements,for a society of full exploitation, individualization, fear, policing andcontrol. Law and order for modern totalitarianism and the preventivecounter-uprising of the doctrine.We, as anarchist students, believe that the only solution lies in theself-organized joint struggles of students / teachers, against the logic ofassignment and resignation.With collective processes, general assemblies, squatting, strikes,demonstrations, conflicts, we are fighting against the educational restructuring,against the government.
