covid-19 began to spread. Very soon he began to make his way into all parts of
the world, leaving behind an ever-increasing number of dead, especially among the
oldest and somewhat weakened people. But it also turned out that very often it
brings long-term consequences to the survivors.
Leaving aside the vision of the huge profits of pharmaceutical companies,
enormous pressure was immediately put on the development of vaccines that would
halt or at least slow down the progression of the deadly virus. That also worked
in the end. A rational solution to the crisis was found, but it came across - the
interests of business, the incompetence of governments and, last but not least,
the irrationality of individuals resisting vaccination, or the measures needed to
manage the pandemic.

 From the outset, it was clear what needed to be achieved: global vaccination
coverage, which would stop the coronavirus surge, reduce the risk of those
infected, including mortality, and reduce the possibility of virus mutations. All
this in compliance with hygienic principles, such as hand disinfection, wearing
respirators and, in critical areas, limiting contact. But...

Pharmaceutical companies and the governments of the richest nations, acting in
the wake of their interests, have failed, and in fact have never wanted to
overcome their colonial arrogance, and in particular have not intended to lose
the penny of the huge business that vaccination has brought. Although poor
countries and solidarity people in the rich have called for the release of
vaccine patents, this has not happened. The huge gains for a narrow group of
privileged people have always been and continue to be in globalized capitalism
than the lives and health of ordinary people. So we are not surprised that the
virus can mutate on a global scale and bring new dangers.

The behavior of most governments is a separate chapter. One does not have to be a
great thinker to realize that governments, however they base their legitimacy on
the election mandate, are acting primarily in the interests of the economic
elites, not the naives who have given them their vote. And sometimes the
representatives of the richest are the equivalent of government, as in the case
of Babiš. It is no wonder, then, that - what he didn't see - people have to go to
factories nicely, even in the worst, to make profits for their masters. And
outside the production process, let them squat at home.

Many people approach the pandemic responsibly. He observes basic hygienic
necessities, gets vaccinated and some even help others in solidarity. In
addition, however, there is a group of those who do not want to accept their
share of personal responsibility, or directly reject it programmatically.
Certainly there are a large number of "lemples" who are lazy to do something
extra or do not think about any context at all. And then there's the (very loud)
group, which is definitely not homogeneous. Some believe that no covid exists or
that it is a conspiracy (who against whom?). Some esotericists have become so
detached from the complexity of the world that they can cure plague by
incantations instead of antibiotics. Some create or disseminate more
sophisticated theories about the harmfulness of vaccination, but they have no
scientific value. Others are based on their political convictions.

First of all, there are nationalists. They never cared about people's lives, it
was more important to roar in the name of the endangered nation (you can add the
way of threat at will according to what is happening - this time it is "covid
totalitarianism"). They have their faith in the core of a healthy nation and are
not interested in the numbers of the dead and the permanently ill. Why, too, when
their credo is that inferiors may die to make room for the strong.

Other political hochstaplers in this field are the ultraliberals, who adhere to
Thatcher's motto that society does not exist and that everyone should be able to
do what they want, regardless of others. This attitude has, in fact, been
cultivated here for thirty years, and today's capitalism has been built on it and
has made social solidarity in ruins.

Sometimes even an anti-vaccination attitude is declared a kind of new dissent and
a terrible rebellion. There is talk of mistrust in the institution and in the
state. But it's not really the state. Although he comes up with some
recommendations and regulations, he "solves" the problem like the imaginary
elephant in porcelain, doing more harm than good. We anarchists also do not
follow what the state demands of us. On the contrary, we are guided by the
principle of social solidarity and mutual respect, and it is clear to us that we
must protect both ourselves and others and do everything we can to keep the dead
and the sick to a minimum and to get rid of the pandemic as soon as possible.

If software antivaxes feel that they are being harmed, do not seek support from
us. They selfishly pursue their own interest and the others are stolen from them.
Solidarity is our weapon. And if we want to speak to anyone here now, it is
primarily paramedics and others who bear the brunt of the pandemic, the
government's incompetence and verbal and physical attacks by selfish anti-vaxers.
