Prostor39 in Prague's Žižkov hosted the second attempt for the fourth year of the
exhibition of zines and independent book production on Saturday, November 20. Theexperiment was successful, so we were able to actively contribute to the eventcalled OPENZINE 2021 within the Publishing House of the Anarchist Federation byour participation as one of the exhibitors. ---- OPENZINE 2021 is organized underthe heading Resurrection, which was a book production and publishing studio. Oneof its two protagonists, Jakub Cerník, died in 2018, so the exhibition has beendedicated to him ever since. It should be noted that the organizing team was verywarm, provided the participants with sandwiches and salty and sweet strudels(yummy yummy), and even though the participation was not what he might haveimagined, the event was very relaxed and pleasant. Even before the start, itlooked like there was a lot of people interested, but it soon turned out thatanother event was taking place in Space39 - the third year of K-Day for alllovers of South Korea. And to get back to the food we like to do, some of uscouldn't stand it and stopped by the nearby InfoPavlac,The exhibitors could be divided into two groups, one artistic (Nýbrž, Resurekce,cum.za.objektiv...) and the other politically engaged (AF Publishing House,Neklid , Zádruha ) and somewhere in between there was the Underground publishinghouse Pravek. However, both approaches to print production complemented ratherthan created some inconsistency.In addition to books, brochures and the anarchist magazine Existence, we alsooffered a diary for the next year and the wall calendar Cerná luna 2022. Neklidpublished its three new products: Kropotkin's Mutual Aid , selected texts by PetrUhl from 1968-1989 and Municipal Luxury - a book about the Paris Commune. At theZádruhy stand, we complained about the lack of progress in the quality of theprocessing of published brochures.
