Brief introduction ...... ---- This brochure, prepared by fellow
anarcho-syndicalists from the CNT-AIT in France with the help of fellowanarchists from Mexico, aims to be a contribution to the debate on the nature ofthe Zapatista experience, while a delegation from Chiapas travels to Europe. Thetexts gathered here are essentially the positions of the Mexican anarchistscritical of the Zapatista spectacle. As far as we know, these texts have notcirculated much among European anarchists, at least significantly less than theapologetic words of the neo-Zapatistas that are disseminated on the"zapatisantes" websites.These recent analyzes[1]trace the largely foreseeable evolution of thisexperience, which began spectacularly in 1994 and ended spectacularly in 2018with its integration into the Mexican political system: that year, the EZLN tooka new tactical turn, seeking to present to the presidential elections anindigenous candidate (necessarily a candidate and necessarily indigenous wouldhave said Marguerite DURAS...). In 2021, the EZLN confirms its integration intothe institutional political game. He asks to vote "yes" for the demagogicreferendum launched by President AMLO to authorize prosecutions for corruption offormer presidents, which Mexican law already allows ...At the same time, an EZLN delegation went to Europe for the "journey throughlife." But the EZLN and its various European support committees are cautious.They do not mention the integration of the EZLN into Mexican institutionalpolitics in their propaganda accompanying this old rock star (or porn staraccording to Gustavo Rodríguez's analysis) on his return tour.
